Eunhi's POV.

My eyes landed on the mirror as I thought to myself. The dress I was wearing felt a bit too tight and perhaps have away the fact a little human being was growing inside of me. A soft smile was placed over my lips as I have decided to let my boyfriend, Jinhwan, know about the thing I discovered just a week ago. This week was like a preparation as I even decided to visit the doctor to confirm the news.

Jinhwan and I have talked about starting a family but since he was always busy, I never got the courage to ask him. He was also tired most of the time. Now that I knew about this little source of happiness, I just had to dress up nicely in order to surprise Jinhwan. He told me he was taking a few days off anyways.

I didn't mind the small baby bump that was already visible if I stood sideways in front of the mirror. It was my source of happiness right after Jinhwan.

My eyes looked for a dress that wouldn't give away the small secret I was holding and I came across the dress my mom gave me on Christmas. It was perfect. I took it out and slipped it on, noticing how comfortable I actually felt while using it. My hands rest on my hips as I checked myself out in the mirror. I looked okay.

Since this was a special occasion, I found myself cooking Jinhwan's favorite dish.

By the time he got home, I was done with everything. I heard the door open and slowly made my way towards the hallway to greet him. He looked tired. Shyly, I wrapped my arms around his torso, pressing a gente kiss on his lips. He smiled and kissed back "Welcome back" I mumbled, resting my head on his shoulder. His arms wrapped around my waist just to notice my clothes. He pulled back and raised his eyebrow. "What's with the clothes?" I noticed how he thought to himself if it was any special date just to look at me confused once again. "I just wanted to surprise you, can I?" he laughed and passed his lips on mine "Alright princess, let me go change." he said to me, turning towards the room.

Jinhwan's POV.

I was confused at the way I was greet when I got home. Eunhi seemed unusually happy, she was always happy, which helped me deal with my days but today, she was even happier then her normal happy self. It didn't bother me, it was actually overwhelming.

I excused myself towards our room in order to get myself fixed for whatever was going on. It wasn't her birthday, much less my birthday. It wasn't our anniversary either. Therefore, I was confused. As soon as I came out of the shower, my phone rang. It was my aunt yet again. I ignored the call, getting myself ready for whatever event was going on.

My phone was yet again ringing. It was my cousin. I sighed and picked the call up. "My mom is trying to talk to you and now she's bothering me to call you." "I'm so tired of her, I swear she's so annoying. I seriously wish I never had someone like her in my life. " as soon as I finished that sentence I heard something fall down on the floor, which made me turn around to find Eunhi by the door, covering . It took me a while to understand what was going on. I groaned "Look, I'll call you back." I quickly said, hanging up to throw my phone on the bed I shared with Eunhi.

I ran after her, feeling like she might have overheard me and it probably didn't sound right to her. Worried, I made my way to the door to stop her from exiting the house. "Eunhi, let's talk." I begged, thanking god she was shorter than me and my arm was long enough to reach for her own. And I just noticed she was crying. "There's nothing to talk, you don't want me in your life." the scene in front of me was depressing. I hated seeing her cry and knowing I was the reason for it was just enough reason to want to beat myself up. Without thinking twice, I pulled her close to me, holding onto her tightly so she had no way to escape.

"Listen to me, please." my lips whispered against her ear as soon as she was calm enough. "Whatever you heard...it wasn't about you, love." she pulled back, looking up at me with her teary eyes. I hated that sight but I couldn't deny the fact she held onto me tighter whenever she cried and I liked it. "My aunt has been bothering the past month over her new born granddaughter." she tilted her head slightly, waiting for me to explain. I laughed quietly and wiped her tears away, feeling relieved as she wrapped her arms around my waist. Carefully, I pushed some hair behind her ear and explained her "She wants me to take care of the baby while she goes shopping with her friends. Her son is always out too and I have no time to take care of the baby since I'm working." I noticed how her expression changed to somwhat disappointment.

"What's wrong?" we were done with the previous conversation and she didn't look as happy. I was confused.

Eunhi's POV

The moment he said he had no time to take care if a baby, I felt guilty. Maybe I was the one who wanted the baby and not him. His arms wrapped around my waist from behind "What's wrong, love?" he asked me but I was unable to answer his question. "I'm hungry." I said, trying to distract myself. He seemed frustrated with my answer but he didn't try to rip the truth away from my lips "Alright, I'll just go get a towel to dry my hair, I'll be right back then." he said to me, gently pressing a kiss on my head. I nodded, getting myself busy with the food. I served it but soon my name was called and I followed the voice.

Jinhwan's POV

She was acting weird but I didn't fight back. Probably she was trying to calm herself down after my speech.

I excused myself to the bathroom, needing a towel to dry my wet hair that was wetting my clothes. His when I was about to open the door that lead to the bathroom, I noticed the box Eunhi held just a few minutes ago, the box she dropped and picked it up. I opened the box that contained a weird white thing that had a pink plus on it. My brain was confused. "Uhm.. Eunhi?" I called out loud, suddenly understanding why it was so neatly wrapped and presented. She was pregnant. I was shocked.

She soon met me on the small hall that connected the bathroom and our room. I looked at her shocked and she panicked. The way she held onto her hands symbolized just how nervous she was. Her face turned bright red and I noticed this was the reason why she was so happy. And I also noticed that I ruined her happiness the second I said I had no time to take care of a baby.

My legs moved towards her after I placed the box on a table. Again, I had to make up for a mistake I did. My hand cupped her cheek while the other held her waist. She looked up at me, tears threatening to escape her brown eyes "I'm sorry, I thought this was something you wanted." those words hit me hard as she probably thought I didn't want the baby that was growing inside of her.

I sighed, thinking how I should answer to this but just like any other occasion, there was no perfect way to solve it. "Eunhi... I want it. I want our baby more than anything. I just... I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to make you think I didn't want this. I'm happy." I hit the jackpot with that. She calmed down, and above anything else, she knew I was happy too.

"Thank you." those words exited my mouth calmly before my lips pressed a gentle kiss on hers to which she answered satisfied. "I love you." as soon as my lips pulled away from hers, I kneeled in front of her, facing her stomach, which was covered by the dress her mother offered her last Christmas "I will take good care of you. I love you too." those words escaped my mouth as if it was the most natural thing to say. It was indeed. Or at least from there on, it made sense.
