"Pair up in groups of four." their teacher ordered calmly, taking a look at the people around the classroom. Of course Jinhwan had already made plans to stay with Inha during the trip and hopefully they would share the same tent. Being excited about this, the male calmly got up and sat by his girlfriend's desk, finding out it would be easy to get two more friends to join them. Junhwe joined them, sitting by their side, followed by Donghyuk. The teacher waited until the entire room had paired up with their friends. Once everyone was set, the teacher lead them outside, where the two floor bus was waiting. Jinhwan imediatelly took his girlfriend's hand and pulled her to sit with him as there were only two seats then a small hallway to part another couple. Being the first to sit took away the probability of them being parted from each other by their teacher which was exactly what they were trying to avoid.
The ride was quite loud as most of their classmates had picked up their best friend to sit with but the couple didn't find words necessary when it came to comunicating. His gentle touches drove a soft smile over the female's lips; the way his fingers intertwined with hers made her feel protected and the way he shared his music with her showed just how caring he was to keep her up with his life. He carefully selected the songs since he knew the ride would be quite long and they would probably be bored. They couldn't afford to show each other how much they appreciated their presence as the teacher kept an eye on everyone by the mirror. That didn't mean he wouldn't steal light pecks here and there. That didn't mean he wouldn't casually bump his nose against her neck to leave there a soft kiss. That didn't mean he couldn't hold her hand like they usually held hands when they weren't in school.
''Don't forget anything inside the bus; any and every good that may be found inside the bus will be concidered lost.'' the teacher warned, forcing the students to take a look inside the bus once again before they left their seats. Nothing was left behind; the bus was as clean as when they stepped inside. Which was a great sign. Once their feet landed on the dusty grownd, the female smiled, feeling free from the school - even though this activity was powered by the school - and from her parents who were giving her a hard time. Jinhwan's eyes watched his girlfriend, leading his lips to curve into a soft and gentle smile. She looked cute in his eyes. ''Please stand in a line. We will be checking if everyone's here.'' the teacher called out, having her students to form a line or something that somehow managed to look like a line. Jinhwan was by Inha's side, Donghyuk and Junhwe stood behind them as they were taller anyways. The other students did something similar, standing side by side. While the teacher was busy counting, the couple played with their hands a game that amused them but was stupid for whoever was looking from the outside. Junhwe tried understanding the game but gave up half way through as it really made no sense.
''Alright, to avoid any kind of argument in between the students, we will write the names of the boys down and the girls may choose one.'' this surprised Inha; were they really going to let girls be paired up with boys in a camping? It seemed weird but she didn't comment as it was a chance to stay with her boyfriend, cuddling under the covers for the two weeks they would be camping. This meant no mother or father bothering them over the fact they were too close. The girls, one by one picked up a random paper from the inside of the black bag the teacher was holding. ''Miss Song.'' Inha was called; there were only two boys left, Jinhwan and Junhwe. She had a 50-50 chance to spend the next two weeks with her boyfriend and she wasted that chance when she picked up the paper that said Junhwe. Jinhwan, that was hopefully waiting to share a tent with his girlfriend imediately glared at the male who stood behind him; he did just not like this idea. Inha threw him an apologetic look. He shrugged it off, knowing she wanted to spend the night with him too.
''Now, please pay attention to me.'' the now annoying voice of the teacher said, seeking attention. All the heads quickly turned towards the female, wondering what she was about to say. ''There's a reason why we paired up a boy and a girl together.'' the students groaned, knowing it was too good to be true; over the couples who had luck picking each other, the disappointment was read all over their faces. ''The first two days, the guys will have to protect the girls. This means each and every one of the girls will have something that not even their partner knows about. The girls will have to hide it and keep it safe, for the boys, you have to help to protect whatever will be hidden. There is no limit to the time you can play this. The guys will have a special mission too, but the main mission is to protect your partner. A couple is out as soon as the object the girl hid is found. For the winner, we will have prizes. After these three days, the winners get to choose the next activity.'' the thought of being against her boyfriend was pretty much fun in her mind but at the same time boring. She wouldn't need to say a thing if she was with him since they thought alike.
This was seen as a challange by the female but it was an horror movie to Jinhwan; he knew how perfectly well she got along with Junhwe and he couldn't help but to feel a small bug inside his stomach bringing a storm into his brain; it was raining worries and perhaps even shinning doubts but the rainbow over that all made clear the fact she was his. He had yet to show that to the male she would be staying with. His height was certainly not enough to pull him away therefore he would have to use what he thought was the best; his nonexistent bad boy side. Honestly, he was a softie and even when someone messed with his girlfriend, he'd talk it out with the person, avoiding violence as he knew a long night of crying awaited him because he wasn't good enough to keep his promise, which was protect her.
His eyes watched how his girlfriend didn't come to him but instead made her way to the taller male who in his opinion, only had that as his own advantage. The happy way she spoke to him made Jinhwan slightly jealous; he should be the one she spoke to with so much happiness. Having a look at his left side, he noticed a girl standing by; he noticed it was who he was paired up with. And he noticed how he didn't know her. How awkward could it get? His mind kept going on and off about what could be happening between his girlfriend and his friend, it was not the fact he didn't trust her, he was simply worried. Very worried. The girl by his side kept talking to him but he was distracted and simply nodded his head. He had missed the oportunity to be with his girlfriend in this game he didn't want to play and the worst was that, he kept thinking about how she didn't even come comfort him; she didn't glace his way.
''Jinhwan...'' the female sighed as she waved her hand furiously in front of the male's eyes to get his attention. He lift his head and waiter for the female to speak. He could be diagnosed with extreme jealousy and the female could read it through her eyes but something came to her mind ''Let's win this game.'' she said, earning his attention. His eyes turned darker at the sudden thirst he felt to win this game. He wanted to do it as soon as possible so he could be the one choosing what activity was up next and this would be an excuse to switch partners.
On that same night, many of the couples were out; none of them was expecting for a sudden attack, much less from Jinhwan who seemed so calm. The couple brought a lot of objects to their tent; this would give the other couples a hard time understanding what would the object be. On the other hand, his girlfriend was simply relaxing, having fun with her friend that was Jinhwan's main target. He didn't mind the fact he was competing against his girlfriend but the fact he was actually competing against Junhwe, as if this was a battle for the princess' love.
Jinhwan slipped into the tent like a ninja; his height finally gave him some advantage. He tried to look around for whatever the object was but he was getting nowhere. He thought to himself; if he was his girlfriend, what would he hide? And soon came up with the answer; her ring. Inha was smart too; she wouldn't hide it, she would keep it, therefore, looking for it would be useless, he knew exactly where to find it.
Playing the jealous boyfriend role, he waited for the pair to come back from their small trip to the fire, crossing his arms over his chest; he really was jealous but perhaps overdoing it would be great. Inha wasn't surprised to see him inside her tent; if she didn't know him, she'd probably be fooled with his actions but it was his girlfriend we were talking about. Without hesitating, she crossed her arms over her chest ''What are you doing here?'' she asked, tilting her head slightly, having the male holding out his arms for her ''Missed my baby.'' Inha rolled her eyes but played along, hugging him tightly but it didn't last long ''I know you more than you know yourself. I know why you're here and unless you want me to tell Junhwe where you guys hide your object, I would suggest you calmly walked out because you ain't getting what you're looking for.'' she whispered to him, chuckling after. This was enough to warn him his plan wasn't going to work on her; why did they have to know each other so fine? Why did they have to be in different teams?
Later on, Junhwe came back, holding up a notebook. ''So basically it's just us against them.'' he commented, sitting down in front of the female as he didn't even suspect her boyfriend has been there earlier. ''Did they get everyone's objects?'' ''Probably...they're working fast anyways, we have to hide your object somewhere else...'' he mumbled, having her shaking her head ''I'm sure we'll find theirs first.'' with this said, they planned on having Junhwe staying up for the night so nobody...or Jinhwan...wouldn't sneak in and steal her object.
Two days were missing until the end of the mission and Inha was tired; she wasn't going to give up but instead, found out they should go look for Jinhwan's object. The female knew exactly where to look for. She asked Junhwe to cover up for her as she said she wouldn't give away the fact she knew where the object was hidden to Junhwe. Proudly, she came back with a wirst watch in her hand, having her boyfriend's pair gasping as she won the game.
The teacher let Inha and Junhwe decide on the next game and since both of them enjoyed the fact they were going to tease Jinhwan, their choice was no other than basketball; they weren't the winners but it was fun, especially because Jinhwan lost against her team.
It has been almost two weeks, which meant they would be going back soon, back to their school and to their houses where they would spend time studying or at least pretending to be studying; Jinhwan was jealous to the point he couldn't even focus on eating. He could see by the corner of his eyes his girlfriend enjoying her food with the other male she had been paired up with.
Today was the final announcement of what they'd be doing on the next four days, which were the last they'd spend on the camping area. ''As for the next for days, you will have a free schedule, apart from the normal rules, you won't be having any more games nor anything else so you can explore around or even stay here on the camping area but please make sure to be divided in groups of three or four people if you're going to walk around. We do not want anybody to be lost out there. Thank you.'' where the final words that made Jinhwan blink; finally there were no more games...finally he could spend time with his girlfriend.
He left his pair behind, walking up to his girlfriend and her partner. ''Baby, let's hang out today!'' he suggested, smiling as he sat down but Inha had other plans. ''I'm sorry baby, Junhwe and I have planned something already, would you mind if we hung out tomorrow instead?'' He was not happy about this...at all. Rolling his eyes, he headed back to the table where he was supposed to be eating but the food didn't seem as tasty anymore. He had spend almost two weeks without being able to be with her yet, she didn't seem to mind; he was mad. On that night, when Junhwe and Inha came back to their tent, they found out the space in between their blankets, occupied for what seemed a huge case. As Inha sat down on her side, she noticed it was no other than her boyfriend; he looked mad. ''Why are you coming so late?'' he asked as soon as his eyes landed on hers. She shrugged ''Junhwe and I decided to go eat somewhere near by...'' she answered, smiling softly before he pulled her down by his side and hugged her close to him ''Time to sleep.'' he mumbled, giving her no time to change.
Just the though another guy had slept by her side for this past week made him feel pretty angry; what if she cuddled into him because it was too cold? Oh no, he did not like that, at all. And he was going to stay, either they wanted it or not. He didn't mind the fact his partner was left alone. He wanted to be by his girlfriend's side even if she had told him she would hang out with him tomorrow, he wanted to her today. He didn't want to waste his time anymore as this was the closest he could have her since her father would always make a space in between her and her boyfriend whenever they were in her house, like he did where Junhwe and Inha slept. In his house, his mother as always interrupting them too, which lead him to grow expectations for these two weeks that seemed to be ruined as well by the suden parting. Either way, he glued himself to her, showing just how jealous he was for being away from her and if he could, he would have kicked Junhwe away to be alone with his girlfriend.
