How long has it been since they last talked? She wasn't sure, even if they broke up on their anniversary, she didn't bother to come up with an excuse to count the days anymore. She had lost interest on the calendar because of him; there wasn't any use to look foward for his birthday anymore, nor for hers. Their anniversary too, was out of the list of the things she cared for. She had decided to errase him like he did to her.

The first days sure were painful and sometimes she couldn't take it; she caught herself about to send him messages, saying she needed to talk because she wasn't feeling alright but then she came back to her senses, remembering it was him the person who made her feel bad. He had decided to end something she never thought would end. He had decided and left her empty handed without any other choice but to drop him as well. Her brain wasn't bothered anymore with the fact he didn't come back to her nor beg her to stay. She didn't mind the fact he didn't send her goodnight messages with that kissy emoji she grew fond of a few months ago...she missed it but she didn't mind the fact none of those was part of her life anymore.

Eunha managed to pull up a lie for a while, saying she didn't need him but that lie ended up being her reality that she somehow treasured. Without Jinhwan, she had more time to herself and dedicating time to what she indeed needed to do. She started by leaving sticky notes by the mirror, letting her remember herself things weren't bad and she didn't need to suffer because of him because it was his loss. She did nothing wrong, she was sure of it. The female was proud of herself, in fact, looking back at the months that past by, she noticed how she managed to keep up with her life and she felt glad she didn't give up on doing what she liked for him. Sure, he had been important but he wasn't worth it. 

People could expect her to change but she didn't, she was still the same, from the end of her hair to the tip of her toe nail. She managed to get through it and keep up with herself which was, the most important thing for her. However, she didn't forget him completely and the smallest thought of him would make her cry, not because she could have done something to keep him but because she truly loved him and it didn't matter how long it has been, he was special for her. She'd keep herself thinking that way. He was a part of her life she couldn't errase. Coming to think of it, she matured a lot after breaking up with him but there was still this small side of her that blamed him for everything, that wanted to slap him hard on his soft cheek, that wanted to make him understand how hard she fell when he wasn't there to catch her. She was no saint.

After applying some lipgloss over her plump lips, pushing away the thought of Jinhwan as she didn't really have that much time to think about it; she forced herself to get some extra activities to keep her brain active with something else. Now, it was time to meet up with one of her friends, someone she dearly missed. It has been a while since they were able to meet as the male was now in college and that took a huge part of his time. He was a mutual friend with Jinhwan, he was the one that actually allowed the couple to meet.

Eunha hummed quietly as she tapped her finger tips against the metal blue colored table where she waited for the male. He soon arrived, losing no time in sitting in front of her with a huge smile smacked on his small lips. "Missed me?" he asked, making the female laugh. "A bit" she answered, smiling some more at the male who sat in front of her. "So, how have you been?" "Fine." "Did you talk to Jinhwan yet?" that question made the female hesitate and her smile fell down, placing a straight face there instead. She knew by this, that he knew about their break up as probably knew more than she did. "Jinhwan made it clear the day we broke up. I didn't bother looking for him and he didn't bother looking for me either so we have nothing to talk about." Yunhyeong nodded his head at the way she spoke. "I still think you should let him speak."

At this point, Eunha kept her eyes on the menu, sighing quietly. "I'm going to the bathroom..." the male that was keeping her company said quietly. She nodded as he left yet, she was surprised to hear the chair being pulled in such a smart space of time. The male sat down but when she lift her eyes to meet him, it wasn't Yunhyeong, it was Jinhwan. "We need to talk." he claimed, sadly. That side of her that wanted to slap him was getting bigger and bigger but she tried to control herself, giving out a simple answer. "Hello to you too..." Jinhwan sighed quietly, reaching for her hands.  Eunha, however, didn't allow him to reach them. She pulled them back, on her lap so she could resist the temptation of slapping him and most important, holding him back when he was the one who let go of her. "Heat me out at least..." "I'm listening." "The day we broke up..." he started and by the way he spoke, she knew he was dying to say something but she stopped him. "There's no use." "Let me speak, damn." "Jinhwan, it has been over a year, why did you bother to come up to me just now? " "I looked for you before but your best friend wouldn't tell me where you were. Do you know how hard it was for me to contact Yunhyeong so I could talk to you?" now it made sense,  why Yunhyeong came to visit her so suddenly and why he asked to use the bathroom after their small talk that wasn't enough to conciderate their friendship. Eunha sighed quietly, deciding to hear the male and what he had to say; 

''Yejin told me she was pregnant.'' Eunha didn't know how to react to that, at all ''Congradulations.'' she blurted out, trying to hide her anger but the way the word came out was enough for Jinhwan; he knew exactly how mad she was but he didn't want to hide it from her nor did he want her to think wrongly about the situation. ''Two days before our anniversary, she told me she was pregnant.'' this shocked the female who up until now thought her boyfriend or better...ex, never cheated on her; she nodded her head, facing the truth even though she just wanted to run away from that place ''I guess I'm happy for you, Jinhwan but honestly, this will lead nowhere, please leave.'' ''No, hear me out. Until the very end. I won't go away until I tell you everything.'' he sighed quietly, looking for her eyes; he leaned closer to the table, trying to get her attention that was still in her hands that were resting on her legs. She refused to look at him but she allowed him to speak; she promised herself she would listen to the very end. ''Remember that one time we fought because of a misunderstanding?'' he waited for her to answer but no answer came so he sighed and decided to go on ''I drank more than I should have that night and aparently Yejin was there.'' Eunha closed her eyes, biting her tongue harshly to stop her tears. Okay, they broke up long time ago but it still hurt because she wasn't over him still and this was hidden behind her back. Never had he tried to explain to her the situation ''She came up to me two days before our anniversary, saying she was pregnant with my kid, for three months now.'' Eunha couldn't keep the promise she made to herself; she lift her head and looked straight at him ''Is it your kid?'' ''No. No, it is not my kid. However, I only found it out a few months ago, when we were at the hospital. Believe me, I never intended to cheat on you. I never actually got to cheat on you. I drank so much that night that I don't remember a thing even today but I was sure I went home with Yunhyeong, he was there with me. Yejin said we did it but Yunhyeong was by my side the all night, you can ask him if you'd like. I never cheated on you, Eunha...'' ''Then why did you leave me? You know perfectly well I hate her since we were kids. How could you? I don't understand.'' she tried her hardest but even though she promised herself to hold it in if she did get to meet him, she wasn't able to. Jinhwan frowned at the sight of the female crying in front of him non stop but this was his chance, to get her back. He could never be able to look at her again. ''You were so happy by her side too...why did you invite me over your party?'' she covered her eyes, crying still. Memories were memories but those marked her and it hurt to think about the past, even if she wanted to deny it, even if she matured a lot, it still hurt. It hurt to see her first love trying to get her back when she was so messed.

He got up and pulled her chair out, turning her to him since she wasn't heavy, at all. His hands gently tugged her hands away and she easily let him access her face like she always did...it was Jinhwan, what could she do? ''Not for a second have I stopped thinking about you. I don't like Yejin, at all but I didn't want the kid to come to this world like this. I love you, you know that. I was trying to do the best for the both because it wouldn't be fair for you.'' he softly spoke. Eunha nodded slowly, knowing he was right; she didn't care how much she suffered before, sure she had been through a lot but going on without him would be hell, especially after knowing about this. Her eyes watched the heart shaped signal raise and fall slowly as Jinhwan spoke to her before she threw her arms around his neck tightly to which he responded almost instantly, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her up with him so both were standing. His face digged through the small, almost non existent space in between them, until the tip of his nose found her neck. Eunha, on the other side, hugged him the tighter she had ever held him; those tears were kept in for too long and perhaps they shouldn't because now she couldn't stop crying. Yunhyeong watched the scene, leaning on the glass wall as his arms rest over his chest; he smiled softly, he did not like the fact he had two of his closest friends fighting like this when he knew they were so in love.

''Jinhwan.'' his voice interrupted the moment, making the male pull away to look at his friend; Yunhyeong chuckled at the trail of tears that rolled down his cheeks as well. He knew those weren't from pain but from happiness; he felt relieved he had explained it to the female. Then, he threw a small box at the male who caught it, almost dropping it to the floor. He smiled, eventually laughing at Yunhyeong while Eunha was confused with the situation; she tilted her head, taking a look at the box ''What's that?'' she asked, wiping away the tears off her cheeks and the borders of her eyes. Jinhwan smiled softly, taking a look at the box in his hands ''A promise I'm never going to break.'' he calmly spoke, informing the female that this was just the begining of their problems but at the same time, letting her know that nothing could come in between them, no matter what. He was willing to make up to her every time he failed, that was just how important she was to him. Yet again, Eunha was slapped into reality, realising that there would be downs she couldn't overcome alone and even though she was hurt before, the fact he came back to explain it to her, made her understand he didn't just speak I love you just because. He meant it, every single time just like she did.
