Chapter 55 : Your Answer
Your POV:
The next morning, I dressed in nice casual clothing and waited for Minwoo to come like I had since the winter break started.
I had already eaten and taken care of my hygiene beforehand so this time Minwoo didn't have to take care of those for me.
I breathed a little bit uneasily as I waited.
A little bit nervous and anxious, I fiddled with the ends of my hair.
It was nice and soft and smooth from my shower.
It smelled like lilacs, oranges and other tropical flowers.
At last, Mir left for work and it was about the time Minwoo usually comes.
Not even two seconds after that thought, the doorbell rang.
I went to go answer it and there he was with his bag and his smile.
"Good morning, Noona." He greeted.
I nodded uneasily and moved out of the way to let him in.
We sat on opposite couches, facing each other.
"You look really nice, I'm glad that you are taking care of yourself again." He said.
"Oh, um, thanks." I said.
"Did you eat already?"
"Yeah...Oppa made me breakfast..."
There was silence.
Minwoo was waiting for me to talk, but I was hesitating so it was awkward.
A few minutes passed like that and Minwoo had been patient up until then.
"Is it...a no then?" He asked.
He tried to hide it, but I could hear his broken heart in his voice.
"Minwoo...I don't know how to tell you this..."
"It's okay...you don't have to say anything. I'll just leave." He grabbed his bag as he stood up.
"No!" I call out and reach my hand toward him to sit him back down.
"It's just..." My cheeks flush and I look away.
"...I've never really had a boyfriend before..."
"W-what...?"
I breathed deeply before proceeding.
"It's a yes. Yes, Minwoo, I'll give you a chance." I look up at him.
"You'll....you'll let me be your boyfriend?" He asked in hopeful disbelief.
"Yeah." I said shyly but smiled.
Suddenly I'm caught in his embrace.
"You've made me the happiest man alive. I promise with my heart and soul, I won't let you down." He whispered.
Slowly, I wrapped my arms around him too.
"I trust you." I softly say back.
