Chapter 10 : Sick Day

The next morning I woke up to Mir packing away all of our stuff.
Today was the day when our vacation ended.
I still felt really sick, but I didn't want Oppa to do all of the packing alone.
I struggled in getting up and started to help him.
"It's okay, just lay back down." Mir said.
"I don't want you to do it all by yourself." I said somewhat groggily.
"Just listen to Oppa, he knows best~" He sang.
I smiled weakly and decided to go brush my teeth and put away all of the things in the bathroom.
I had also changed and put everything I wanted to bring with me on the plane into a small backpack.
I put my wallet, CD player that was returned to me while I was sleeping, a snack, cellphone, water bottle and the medicine the Mir bought for me.
I sat quietly on the now empty bed and waited for Mir to finish cleaning.
I was burning and fanned myself with a piece of scrap paper.
On the way to the airport, Mir told us the new seating plans.
This time it was Mir and I, Minwoo and Yoseob then Luna and Sungjong.
Mir said that he made sure that we sat together just in case I got really sick.
I leaned on Luna's shoulder and linked arms with her in the taxi.
I really hated being sick. It made me feel weak and tired all of the time.
Even though I still wanted to play, it felt nice to know that we would be going home.
The time on the plane was pretty uneventful.
I kept sleeping then waking up and going to sleep again and so on.
The others were also pretty quiet.
After arriving home, Mir took my tempurature.
He told me to stay home from school the next day.
I tried to tell him that I would be fine, but he just shook his head.
I wondered what I was supposed to do all day.
Mir would be at work and everybody else would be at school.
I sighed.
That night Mir oppa made me a special 'get well soon' dinner.
It was really good (as always) and he spent the night with me watching TV and playing video games.
Mir made me go to bed early, so I would get lots of sleep.
The next day he had to work all day so I would be home alone.
I watched TV and went on my laptop and read SHINee fanfics.
I tried calling Luna and asked her to come and visit during lunch break, but she said that she couldn't.
Sungjong said that he was busy as well and I didn't want Minwoo to leave school.
I didn't even bother calling Yoseob just thinking of what he would say to me.
I sighed and went into the kitchen to take my medicine.
I was about to put the pill into my mouth, but I heard a knock on the door.
I put it and the glass of water down and went to the door.
"Ahh, Y-yoseob. What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I didn't see you at school." He answered coolly.
"Came to check to see if you were at home."
"Tch, I'm sick, where else would I be?" I rolled my eyes in amusement.
"Mir isn't home? So you're here by yourself?" He ignored me. Again.
"Yes and?" I said extremely curious about why he was still here.
This was starting to give me a headache.
"If there is nobody home, then I should stay and make sure you don't get really sick." Yoseob said.
I scoffed. "I'm old enough to take care of myself. I can be home alone for a few hours."
"What if your condition gets worse?"
My head was pounding now.
"You know what, just go back to school. I don't need you." I said holding my raging head.
I closed the door and slid down wall in pain.
The door opened again with Yoseob coming in.
Without a word, he helped me up and walked me to the couch.
He put the blanket over me and went to get my medicine after I told him where it was.
He came back with it and a wet towel.
I swallowed my fever medicine and some advil.
After a while, Yoseob asked me if I was feeling any better.
"I'm okay." I said feeling the headache starting to calm down.
"I told you so." He said.
I expected him to give me a mocking smirk or something like that.
Instead I saw pure concern in his eyes.
Surprised I looked away.
"I'm fine now, just go back to school."
"No way, I'm going to stay right here." Yoseob pointed to the spot he was sitting in.
I sat up and protested.
"Just shut up and get better, okay?" He put his arm around me and lied me against him.
My cheeks heated in response.
I looked up at him, but he was looking somewhere else.
I was very warm and I was sleepy.
Without realizing, I fell asleep in Yoseob's arms.
When I woke up, I was still in the same place and Yoseob was sleeping.
I tried to quietly slip out of his grip, but it seemed that the movement was to much and I woke him up too.
I jumped three feet away almost falling onto the coffee table.
Yoseob grabbed my hand, preventing me from falling, again.
Our gazes locked and it was impossible to look away.
I have no idea how long we were like that for, but the door bell rang and released me.
It was a delivery guy holding a bouquet of roses in every colour of the rainbow.
"This is for you." he handed me it.
"Oh, uh, thank you." I said and he left.
"Who was it?" Yoseob stretched.
I ignored him and looked at the little card.
_____-ah, I'm sorry I can't visit you today~ Forgive me! Luna says she can't come either. I'll try coming tomorrow because I don't wanna see my little baby girl sick :( Get well soon and make sure that Yoseob actually takes care of you. Yes, I know he's there. Maybe I can take you out after you're better? keke , Yoseob I'm watching you!, Sungjongie~
"Yah! This little..." He was reading it with me over my shoulder.
I glared at him and put the card away.
I admired the pretty colours and sweet scent of the flowers.
I walked past him and sat back down on the couch.
I read the card again, smiling.
He had called me his baby girl.
I giggled girlishly.
"Yah, you knows he is just like that because you're sick."
There was a knock on the door.
Yoseob opened the it and I turned to see who it was.
"Hyung, what are you doing here?" It was Minwoo.
I grinned and hopped over to him.
"Noona, what is this? And why is Yoseob hyung here?" Minwoo asked after I hugged him.
"This is from Sungjongie oppa~." I giggled again. "As for Yoseob...he just came."
"He can leave now. Minnie is here~ I have a present for you...tada!" He pulled out a stuffed bear.
"What are you doing here?" Yoseob said.
Minwoo frowned.
"I'm here to help _____ noona get better, why else?"
"Stay Minnie~ I was so bored. Yoseob was boring and he didn't take care of me well." I pouted.
"Ne! I'll stay~ Yoseob can go." Minwoo stuck his tongue out.
"Y-yah! Don't speak to me like that! I'm staying too!" Yoseob exclaimed.
We weren't listening though.
"Hehe, should I make something good then?"
"Yes, yes, yes! Yoseob didn't make me any food either."
"Okay then! I'm better at cooking then Hyung anyway."
"Noona will go to heaven after tasting my cooking~"
I laughed.
