November 3. Early in the morning when Seohyun woke up and prepared for Yonghwa’s discharge from the army. She dressed up and brought her stuff, and drove herself to Yonghwa’s house. She have met Yonghwa’s parents at his house and talked before the parentals left for Gandongmyeon.

 

Yonghwa’s parents arrived at Gandongmyeon Office at around 6:30 in the morning together with the entire FNC Team to assist Yonghwa with his discharge and short meeting with his fans. Yonghwa finished his discharge process almost 7:30 in the morning. He bid his goodbyes to his seniors at the office and to his colleagues left serving the unit.

 

Yonghwa stayed at the back of the building with his parents and FNC staff while waiting for the scheduled time of his appearance to the public and to the media. He had a conversation with his mother.

 

“I thought Joohyun will come too.” Yonghwa said.

“I called her but she just woke up. She insisted she’ll just come to our dinner tonight.” Yonghwa’s mother concealing the surprise at his home.

“She said she’ll come.”

“Did you call her last night?”

“She didn’t reply. And my colleagues prepared something for me last night.”

“Ahh. Did your team already told you your schedule?”

“Omma, I just want to spend some time with your and with Joohyun first. I told Bruce Hyung already.”

“I’m just so happy you’re done serving the military.”

“Me too Omma. I’m really happy and very fulfilled serving our country.”

“Are you announcing your relationship?”

“I want to give this moment to the fans Omma. Soon, maybe. This time, it’s for the fans.”

“Joohyun’s okay?”

“De Omma. She knows that. Actually she's the one who said that to me.”

 

Yonghwa then sent a message to Seohyun.

Where are you?

 

 

Seohyun received Yonghwa’s message. She just finished putting up some decors at the living room with “Welcome Back Yonghwa” on the wall. She put up balloons and prepared her gifts for him.

 

 

She didn’t reply and focused on completing her surprise to Yonghwa.

 

 

Exactly 8 in the morning when Yonghwa rode the van and headed over to the front of the Office Building where the fans were gathered with the media.

 

He came out and was assisted by his managers and the entire FNC Team in charge of the mini fanmeeting. Yonghwa felt happy and nervous at the same time coming out and facing the public since he got enlisted to the army. He composed himself and with confidence faced the people and the media waiting for him.

 

 

Yonghwa took the opportunity to thank his fans for patiently waiting for him and for not leaving in spite his enlistment. He also took the opportunity to talk to the media about his thoughts after his military service.

 

The mini fanmeeting and the short interview and photo op with the press and fans lasted for almost 30 minutes. Right after, Yonghwa was assisted back to the van and stepped in.

 

The van and the other FNC cars headed back to Seoul.

 

 

Yonghwa shared his feelings to his manager, father and mother inside the van. He shared how excited he is to get back to work and to meet his friends.

 

 

After, he dialed Seohyun’s number but she didn’t answer.

 

“Omma, Joohyun is not answering.”

“I don’t know. Maybe she’s sick. Her voice is different when I talked to her.”

“Is that so? Ohh, Hyung, we’re heading to my house right?” Yonghwa looked at his manager driving.

“Oh, ye, wae?”

“I’m thinking if you can drop me at Joohyun’s house. I should be there if she’s sick.”

“Try calling her again son.” Yonghwa’s father diverted so Yonghwa won’t catch the surprise.

 

 

Yonghwa dialed Seohyun’s number again. This time, Seohyun answered.

 

“Hello.” Seohyun was concluding her cooking.

“Joohyuna. I’ve been calling you but you’re not picking up. I also sent a message.”

“Miane. I think I’m sick. I’m not feeling well, Yongie. My head is really heavy and I got colds.”

“Omma told me when she talked to you over the phone. I thought you’ll come.”

“I’m sorry Yonghwa. I think I’ll catch the flu this time.”

“Tsk. Did you drink your medicines?”

“I took a paracetamol earlier to ease my headache.”

“I’ll drop by to check up on you.”

“Kenchana. I’ll be fine. I’ll just need to sleep, perhaps.”

“Who’s taking care of you? Please Babe:”

“Kenchana. I know you missed your parents and your team from FNC. I’ll give you the time.”

“What about our dinner tonight?”

“Of course I’ll be there. We’re all be there. I’ll just get some more sleep and rest.”

“Are you sure you don’t want me to drop by?”

“Okay. I can’t wait to see you. Please rest well and sleep.”

“Yes Baby. I can’t wait to see you too.”

“I love you too.”

 

And Yonghwa hanged up.

 

“I told you.” Yonghwa’s mother said.

“I don’t get it why she catch that flu. She’s the healthiest person I know.” Yonghwa was worried.

“She’s been up to what this days?” Yonghwa’s father asked.

“Just taking her time Appa. She;s done with her script reading for her short drama and she'll start filming soon. I heard she got more scripts but Namoo is really meticulous in choosing her first big drama under them.”

“What if Namoo is waiting for you? Hahaha.”

“Bo?”

“Maybe they wanted it the two of you to star in the drama. Will you accept the offer?” Yonghwa’s father continue to tease his son.

“I don’t know. It’s up to Joohyun really. If she wants us to do it, I’ll accept the offer. If she don’t want, I won’t. Appa, I don’t want Joohyun to feel uncomfortable.” Yonghwa seriously replied.

“Wow. I’m just asking son. Hahaha.”

 

The journey lasted for an hour. Yonghwa while talking to his family browsed his phone and checked the news about himself and his photos on the internet. He also started replying to his friends sending words of congratulations for his successful military service.

 

 

They arrived at Yonghwa’s home almost 10 in the morning. Jongjin Manager and Bruce Manager joined Yonghwa’s family as they helped in carrying Yonghwa’s things from the military.

 

As they entered the house, it was dark and empty.

 

 

“Yah! I miss my home!” Yonghwa said as he removed his military boots. His parents and manager did the same.

 

Yonghwa the lights and walked to the living room. He saw the “Welcome Back Yonghwa” décor on the wall.

 

“Wah! Omma! Kamsahmanida!” Yonghwa was all smiles and looked back to his mother as he remove his military hat.

 

“I did not do that! Hahaha.” Yonghwa mother laughed while walking to the kitchen.

 

 

Seohyun came out from Yonghwa’s room and was surprised that Yonghwa has arrived.

 

“Oh? Yonghwa!” Seohyun said while laughing.

“Joohyuna.” Yonghwa’s eyes instantly got watery as he saw Seohyun coming out from his room. He pouted his lips and stuck his stare on his fiancé.

“I thought you’ll arrive a little bit later.” Seohyun slowly walked to him while giving a look to Yonghwa’s managers and parents.

 

Yonghwa didn't say anything and just stretched his both arms to Seohyun.

 

 

Seohyun reached Yonghwa and immediately hugged him.

 

“You are my beautiful liar.” Yonghwa whispered, talking about Seohyun making an excuse a while ago.

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I’ll tell you I’m here. I missed you.” Seohyun whispered back as she tighten her hug on Yonghwa.

“I missed you too Babe. Finally. I will never leave you. We’ll be together for the rest of our lives.” Yonghwa replied and broke the hug.

“I’m very proud of you, Staff Sergeant Jung.” Seohyun cupped his face and wiped his tears.

“Seo Joohyun. I missed you so so much.” Yonghwa circled his arms around Seohyun’s waist. “Did you miss me?”

 

Seohyun nodded. “I love you.” Seohyun whispered.

 

“I love you more, unemployed Seo Joohyun.”

“You’re teasing me again huh? I'm working really soon. Actually, I just waited for your discharge. Hahaha.” Seohyun smirked.

“I missed everything about you.”

“Are you really sick? I got worried.”

“I have colds.”

“How can I kiss you?”

“Tsk. Just kiss me.”

 

Yonghwa smiled and slowly kissed Seohyun on the lips without thinking of the managers and the parentals.

 

It was slow, deep and romantic kiss.

 

“I love you, Seo Joohyun.” Yonghwa whispered after almost 10 seconds of kissing.

“I love you too. I’m very proud of you Baby. Congratulations.” Seohyun smiled and caressed Yonghwa’s face. “Did you like the balloons?”

“I love it. Thank you.” Yonghwa kissed Seohyun’s lips again.

 

Together, they looked at the wall.

 

“Did you prepare these? It’s beautiful. Welcome back Yonghwa love.”

“De.”

“Hahaha. Thank you Baby.”

“Hey, did you eat already? Come on, I cooked. Your parents and your managers haven’t eaten yet, maybe. Come on.”

 

Seohyun let go of Yonghwa and walked to the kitchen and joined Yonghwa’s parents.

 

 

Meanwhile, Yonghwa walked to his managers and got his things. He removed his military top and took a photo of the decor.

 

“Hyung, Joohyun cooked breakfast for us. Join us.”

“Kenchana. We’ll go back to FNC and finalize your schedule.”

“Aniya. Please. Eat first. Joohyun prepared. Please Hyung?”

“Okay okay.”

 

 

“Seohyun-sshi prepared a lot!” Yonghwa’s father teased Seohyun.

“Hahaha. Aniyo Apuji. Please, let’s eat now. I know you’re all hungry. We all started early. What do you want Appa? I prepared coffee and hot chocolate?” Seohyun helped Yonghwa’s mother.

“I’ll have coffee please.”

“Alright Appa. Omoni, I’ll take care of that. Please have a seat.” Seohyun saw Yonghwa’s mother preparing the coffee.

“Hahaha kenchana Seohyuna. I’ll make your Apuji’s coffee. Make one for Yonghwa.”

“Okay Omma.”

 

 

Yonghwa and his managers joined at the dining area. Thereafter, Seohyun and Yonghwa’s mother served coffee for the gentlemen. Yonghwa’s mother then sat and let Seohyun served the rice and the side dishes.

 

Finally, they all settled down. Seohyun sat beside Yonghwa. Yonghwa spoke to his family before they ate.

 

“My brother is arriving from Japan. I don’t get it why he forgot about my discharge today. Hahaha. Anyway, I just want to thank you, Omma, Appa for being there for me at all times. I always say, I wouldn’t be here in this world without you. Hahaha. But really, thank you for your support since I started. You raised me well and gave me a comfortable life. Really, thank you, Appa, Omma. Hyung, Bruce Hyung, Jungjin Hyung. Thank you. You all prepared well today. I promise I’ll be good at work and won’t escape to you two. Hahaha. And to this beautiful lady beside me.” Yonghwa grabbed Seohyun’s hand and locked to his.

 

“Thank you for preparing today. I may not be able to talk about us earlier but always remember that I love you, Joohyuna. In front of my parents and my managers who are precious to me, I love you.” Yonghwa kissed Seohyun’s hand and smiled.

“Ohh, Jung Yonghwa is very mushy, huh? Hahaha.” Seohyun joked but deep inside, was moved by Yonghwa’s words.

“Hahahaha! Let’s eat!” Yonghwa declared.

 

They all started eating. Seohyun waited for Yonghwa’s parents to get their food and then she followed. She served on Yonghwa’s plate and took care of his food.

 

“I love you too.” Seohyun whispered and winked to Yonghwa.

 

 

They started eating and resumed talking.

 

“I thought Yonghwa will give us a hard time.” Bruce opened up.

“Huh? Wae Hyung? I promised I’ll be a good boy now.” Yonghwa looked at his manager.

“I’m thinking if you’ll announce your relationship with Seohyun-sshi.”

“Ei, Oppa. I wouldn’t do that to his fans. I know them. Yongie is well-loved by his fans. I don’t wanna ruin his reunion with them.” Seohyun smiled to Bruce.

“I really want to do it. But really, Joohyun insisted we give the moment to the fans. That’s I’m thankful for. Always thinking of the welfare of the others.” Yonghwa smiled.

“Because I love you. And all those you love, I love too. Like your fans. Omma, Appa, your managers. Hahaha.” Seohyun laughed.

“Gomawoyo Seohyun-sshi. We love you too!” Yonghwa’s father replied.

“He even answered Twice as the girl group he listened the most. I’m expecting he’ll answer Girls’ Generation.” Jungjin said.

“Kenchanayo Oppa. He was obviously answering for his colleagues. He justified his answer. Hahaha.” Yonghwa’s mother son.

“Girls’ Generation maknae knew my real answer. Right?” Yonghwa looked at Seohyun again.

“Hahahaha. There will be another fanwar if you answered Girls’ Generation.” Seohyun said.

“Very understanding daughter. We really got no problem with Seohyun-sshi.” Yonghwa’s mother butted in.

“Ei, Omma, aniyo.” Seohyun answered.

“Yah, Yonghwa. You have to make it up to Seohyun huh? Really.” Yonghwa’s mother became serious.

“Of course Omma. You know that.”

“Hey, MBC offered a drama. I saw Seohyun as one of the actresses being considered.” Bruce opened up another topic.

“Oh? I’m not informed yet there is something like that from MBC.” Seohyun was surprised to hear the news.

“Ei, Hyung. Please. No work for the meantime. I just want my sleep and my reunion with my family and Joohyun.” Yonghwa said.

“What if MBC will choose me for your drama? I mean, us, together? Should we do it?” Seohyun asked Yonghwa.

“It’s up to you Babe. If you’ll accept it, I’ll won’t complain. If you won’t, I’ll be okay. You decide. I trust you.” Yonghwa replied with a smile to Seohyun.

“I should wait for the offer. Hahahaha. Only if the PD will consider me. And MBC of course. Right Bruce Oppa?” Seohyun continued.

“Ye. Miane Yonghwa. No work today. Hahaha.” Bruce laughed.

 

They all continued talking until they finished the food for almost 45 minutes.

 

 

After eating, Yonghwa’s manager bid their goodbyes and left the house. Meanwhile, Yonghwa’s parents stayed at the living room and rested while Yonghwa and Seohyun cleaned the dining area and the kitchen together.

 

While washing the dishes together,

 

“I’ll have a schedule on Friday. Fansign event for an endorsement. And on Wednesday, filming. What about you?”

“No work today Baby. I just want you.”

“Aigoo. It’s as if we haven’t met for 20 months.”

“When was the last time? Last month?”

“Oh, de. When we fought bad. Really really bad.”

“Yes. That was bad. Hmm. I won’t forget your schedules Babe.”

They finished cleaning the dining area and the kitchen. After, Seohyun showed Yonghwa his room. She changed the sheets and cleaned. A small bouquet of flower was on the computer table of Yonghwa and a small paper bag. She also changed her photo from Yonghwa’s side table with a new portrait of her.

 

“Wow! New sheets!” Yonghwa ran to his bed and lied down. “Aigoo. I’m very sleepy. Come on Babe, let’s sleep.” Yonghwa naughtily said.

“You like it?”

“De. Very much.”

“Hey, I bought a lot of gifts for you.”

 

Seohyun walked to the computer table and called for Yonghwa.

 

“Please come.”

 

 

Yonghwa followed Seohyun and stood up in front of her.

 

“Flowers for my Staff Sergeant Baby.” Seohyun handed the small bouquet with a card inside. “I wrote something inside. Hahaha.”

“Wow! So this is how it feels like to receive a lot of gifts.” Yonghwa teased.

“Ei, I’m always giving you something.”

“I mean for a very long time.”

“Here, open it.” Seohyun then handed the paper bag.

“What’s this?”

“A gift!”

“Okay. Okay.”

 

Yonghwa opened the paper bag. It contained the latest Apple products, iPhone 11 Pro Max, Airpods Pro, Apple Watch and iPad.

 

“Yah! Seo Joohyun! Why did you buy everything?” Yonghwa looked at Seohyun upon seeing the boxes inside the paper bag.

“I want to give my boyfriend all the latests of the latests. Come on Babe, you should change your phone.”

“Cham. My phone is still okay.”

“Andwe. Please open it. It’s for you.”

“Gomawo.”

 

Yonghwa sat in front of the computer while Seohyun watches him on the side.

 

He opened each box and felt happy with the new gadgets.

“Yes Babe. I’ll use it well.”

 

After a few minutes, Seohyun revealed another gift for Yonghwa.

Yonghwa turned his head and saw Seohyun having a hard time carrying the bag.

 

“Oh!!! Joohyuna!!!” Yonghwa quickly stood up from his seat and helped her carry the bag.

“Hahaha! It’s really heavy. Thank you Baby.”

“Oh!!! Yah, Seo Joohyun!!!” Yonghwa got excited with the other gift. “Eotteoke?!?”

“I knew you will like this better than these gadgets. Hahaha.”

“You know me so well.”

“Open it. Check if there’s something wrong. I really don’t know if I bought the right guitar for you.”

 

Yonghwa sat again on the office chair and opened the bag. It was an ERIC JOHNSON SIGNATURE STRATOCASTER® THINLINE electric guitar which she bought in the US during her vacation.

 

“Wow! Just wow! Thank you Seo Joohyun!” Yonghwa’s all smiles and was like got starstruck with the electric guitar.

“You like it?”

“I love it! Thank you!”

“Hahaha! Yes!” Seohyun was happy that Yonghwa was happy with the gifts she prepared. “I miss my musician Yong. I hope you’ll create more beautiful music with this electric guitar.”

“Absolutely Seo Joohyun!”

“Are you happy?” Seohyun sweetly asked as she put her hands on Yonghwa’s shoulder, still standing on his side.

“Yes! Very very happy!” Yonghwa turned his head to see Seohyun in the eyes. “Thank you so much Babe.”

“Hmm. I only needed one thing more.” Seohyun acting cute.

“Hahahaha!”

 

Yonghwa turned the chair and pulled Seohyun. She sat on his lap and circled her both arms around his nape. Yonghwa meanwhile held her on her waist and back.

 

“Thank you Joohyuna. You spent so much with everything you bought for me. The sheets, the phone, the guitar, everything. Really, thank you.” Yonghwa, with his signature low tone voice.

“You might get shock when you open your closet. Hahaha.”

“Wae? Tsk. Seo Joohyun. You’re spending too much!” Yonghwa smirked.

“I want to give you everything Yongie.”

“You, being here with me right now is more than enough. Thank you Hyunnie for everything.” Yonghwa smiled.

 

Seohyun kissed Yonghwa’s lips. It was deeper, longer and more passionate than the one they did earlier.

 

After almost a minute, Seohyun broke the momentum and hugged Yonghwa.

 

“I love you, Jung Yonghwa.”

“Mm, I love you too Seo Joohyun.” Yonghwa caressed her back while he whisper.

“Sorry, I can’t do it right now. I just got my period yesterday.” Seohyun replied.

 

They talked while both just hugging each other.

 

“I want to make it up to you. All the time we were apart.”

“We have our entire lives to make it up to each other. You, here with me is enough.”

“I want to do it for you.”

“No need to worry. Tsk. This is more than enough.”

“Hmm, walk with Ppo Ppo tomorrow?”

“Aren’t you cold?”

Seohyun broke the hug and stared at Yonghwa.

 

“Your parents must be waiting for you. Let’s go outside?”

Seohyun stood up and walked to Yonghwa’s closet. Yonghwa followed her.

 

Seohyun opened the closet and showed Yonghwa new clothes inside. The old ones were transferred to the other side of the closet while the newly bought were on the other side. Most of the clothes were bought in the US during her vacation.

 

 

Yonghwa changed his clothes while Seohyun went out of Yonghwa’s room to join the parentals in the living room.

 

“Oh, Seohyun-sshi, we’ll leave now. We’ll fetch Yonghwa’s brother at the airport.” Yonghwa’s mother stood up. “Where is Yonghwa?”

“Ah, is that so Omma? He’s taking a shower.”

“Tell him we’ll go back just in time for our family dinner.” Yonghwa’s father said.

“Oh, de Apuji. I’ll stay here.”

 

The parentals plus Yonghwa’s managers left the house.

 

Seohyun, after escorting the group out of the house, she went back inside Yonghwa’s room and lied down to his bed.

 

She felt sleepy after being up very early in the morning to prepare for her event for Yonghwa.

 

 

Yonghwa came out of the bathroom almost 30 minutes after. He arranged his things and joined Seohyun on the bed.

 

“Hmm? You’re done?” Seohyun woke up from her very quick nap.

“De. This is not my Joohyun. Sleeping in the middle of the day?”

“I wasn’t able to sleep well last night. And I was up early to prepare.”

“Ohh, you did well Babe.” Yonghwa hugged Seohyun and initiated the cuddle. He kissed Seohyun’s forehead and tighten his hug on her. “Oh, my Baby’s getting small again. I miss this body.”

“You like everything I prepared?” Seohyun’s talking softly, feeling she will fall asleep anytime.

“Very much. Very very much. I’m very happy. Really happy. Thank you Joohyuna. I wouldn’t pass everything without you.”

“Aniya. It’s you. It’s you who did everything.”

“No. You encouraged me. You helped me with your words and wisdom. You’re right with everything you said to me before. I proved them wrong Hyuna. And I’m happy I was able to overcome this and be successful with my service. For that, thank you.”

“I’m really very very proud of you Yonghwa. Honestly, I thought of revealing our relationship. That’s how proud I am. I really really want it. But I love you so much and I don’t want you getting dragged into another scandal.”

“It’s not a scandal. It’s us, announcing our love. Soon Babe. I promise we will get there. Thank you. Thank you for everything. How can I make it up to you, seriously?”

“I said, date me tomorrow morning. Walk with me. Picnic. The same old us.”

They shared a passionate kiss. Yonghwa became aggressive and didn’t let go of Seohyun’s lips. They eventually had a quick make out session. Yonghwa controlled their quickie and stayed on top of Seohyun passionately kissing her lips and her neck while his hands are on her chest.

 

It lasted for almost 10 minutes until Yonghwa’s phone rang. Seohyun stopped him.

 

“Yonghwa, your phone.” Seohyun’s holding on to Yonghwa’s head.

“Hmm?”

“Your phone. It’s ringing.”

“Oh, de.”

 

Yonghwa got up from the bed and reached for his phone on the computer table.

 

Meanwhile, Seohyun moved and went to sleep as she rested from the quick make out session.

 

 

Yonghwa answered his phone. It was Jonghyun.

 

“Oh, Jonghyuna.”

“Hyung, I see you all over the internet. Congratulations Hyung! Really, I’m proud and happy for you.”

“Thank you Jonghyuna. Are you on break?”

“Ani Hyung. I’m in Yanggu, on duty.”

“Ahh, do well Jonghyuna huh? Make everybody proud.”

“It’s hard Hyung. It’s hard to prove yourself to everybody. I mean, we cannot please everybody.”

“That’s right. But always think of your loveones. Your family, Yoona, your friends.”

“Ye Hyung. Thank you Hyung for your words. It really motivates me to do more in the service.”

“Do well so you can spend more time with your family. And with Yoona. How is she?”

“She’s fine. She doesn’t have work now. Just attending events and photoshoots for her brand campaigns.”

“Ahh, okay. I’m thinking of seeing them next weekend. Just simple dinner. Just to catch up.”

“Is that so? Yah, I’ll tell her Hyung.”

“Okay.”

“Really Hyung, congratulations. I’m proud of you.”

“Thank you Jonghyuna. Do well for the rest of your stay there huh?”

Yonghwa, after the phone call, went back to the bed and joined Seohyun.

 

“Who’s that?” Seohyun positioned herself to sleep. She hugged Yonghwa and put her head on his chest.

“Jonghyuna. Just sending his congratulations to me.”

“How is Oppa?” Seohyun’s eyes were already closed while Yonghwa’s one hand is around Seohyun.

“He’s on duty right now at Yanggu.”

“Ahh, Yoona unnie and I met when I bought your new gadgets.”

“Oh, jeongmal? So she got something new for Jongie too?”

“Hahahaha. De.”

Seohyun slowly fell asleep while Yonghwa used his phone to update his SNS.

 

@jyheffect I want to say thank you to all of you who came and supported me even in cold weather. I will go back to my original position and do my best. I look forward to seeing you in good shape for those who have waited for a long time. Thank you again.

 

After, he slept and hugged Seohyun tightly.

 

 

Almost 3 in the afternoon when Yonghwa woke up. He gave Seohyun a kiss on her lips and then he got up from the bed and arranged his things. He left Seohyun on the bed, still sleeping deeply.

 

As he arranged his things, he changed to his workout clothes and walked back to Seohyun. He have a kiss on her forehead and whispered, “I’ll just go to the gym Baby.”

 

 

Yonghwa left the house and went to the gym driving his jeep wearing the new gadgets Seohyun gave and the new clothes she bought.

 

 

4 in the afternoon when Seohyun woke up alone at Yonghwa’s house. She checked her phone and popped Yonghwa’s SNS post at the gym.

She dialed his number and Yonghwa quickly answered.

 

“Babe.” Yonghwa’s resting after lifting some weights.

“You left me again.” Seohyun sweetly said.

“You’re sleeping so deep and your snore is so loud Babe. I couldn’t sleep. I’m working out right now. Hahaha.”

“Hehehe. Jeongmal? Hmm, I’ll leave and go home. I’ll see you at the dinner tonight Baby.”

“Oh, de. Bring along your parents huh?”

“Of course Babe.”

“Okay. See you Baby. Drive safely huh?”

“Yes Sir.”

“Hahaha. I love you, Seo Joohyun.”

“I love you too, Jung Yong.”

 

 

Seohyun finally got up from the bed and left Yonghwa’s home. She drove her car back home and get ready for the family dinner.

 

 

7:30 when Seohyun and her parents arrived at Lotte Hotel where the scheduled dinner with Yonghwa’s family will take place.

 

When they arrived at the private room, Yonghwa, his brother and his parents were already there having good conversations with wine.

 

The parents of Seohyun greeted Yonghwa’s parents and apologized for being late. Meanwhile, Seohyun walked to Yonghwa’s brother and greeted him.

 

“Yonghwa! Hahaha! Finally! You’re free!” Seohyun’s father joked while on hug with Yonghwa.

“Hahaha. De Apuji. Finally.”

 

And then Yonghwa turned to Seohyun’s mother.

 

“Finally Yonghwa. We’re so proud of you.” Seohyun’s mother cupped Yonghwa’s face after the hug.

“Thank you Omoni. I missed you. You and Apuji.”

“We missed you too.”

 

 

And then they all settled down and started catching up over dinner. Seohyun’s parents were served with wine. Seohyun’s beside Yonghwa on her left and on her right, her father and mother; opposite Yonghwa’s parents and brother.

 

 

“What took you so long?” Yonghwa whispered.

“Traffic. I’m sorry Baby.” Seohyun replied as she put her hand on Yonghwa’s thigh.

“I still have something to be sorry for.” Seohyun continued.

“Bo?”

“I don’t think I can make it to Hawaii this weekend.”

“Oh? Wae?”

“I told you about my schedule on Wednesday and Friday right? And now I’ve got to go to Jeju on that weekend for a magazine shoot. I’m sorry Baby.”

“Oh? Eotteoke?”

“Please go on with the trip Babe. I tried moving the shoot but my agency booked me and my team already.”

“Tsk.”

 

Yonghwa drank his full glass of wine.

 

“Hey. Are you mad?” Seohyun squeezed her hold on Yonghwa’s thigh.

“It’s the trip we’ve been planning together. We want it too bad.”

“I’m sorry Yong. I’ll make it up to you. I’ll book another flight to Japan or to anywhere after my schedule and once you get back from Hawaii. I’m sorry.”

“What can I do? Your schedule is final. We’ll push thru with the trip.”

“I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”

 

Yonghwa stayed quiet and just listened to the parents talking and catching up. Seohyun knew Yonghwa’s mad but didn’t show it to her. She slowly removed her hand on his thigh and drank her wine.

 

 

The families ate dinner as the crew served the main course. Yonghwa ignored Seohyun and acted like everything’s fine. He responded to Seohyun’s parents’ questions and had a really nice conversation with them. Seohyun, just listened and reacting once in a while, while contemplating how will she make it up to Yonghwa. Until the group talked about their wedding and their plans of making a family.

 

 

“I’m sure Yonghwa has a lot of work to do now that he’s discharged from the army.” Seohyun’s father said.

“Oh, de Apuji. I’ll start working on my concert maybe on Tuesday and Wednesday. And ahmm, we’ll fly to Hawaii this coming weekend.”

“Ahh, Joohyuna. That’s what you’re talking about right?”

“De Appa.” Seohyun softly replied.

“So the wedding’s not happening next year?” Seohyun’s father continued.

“I’m afraid not Apuji.” Yonghwa quickly answered.

“We’ll work first Appa and earn more so we could start without thinking of money.” Seohyun added.

“We really want to have grandchildren already.” Yonghwa’s mother remarked.

“Hahahaha. Ye. Ye. Me too!” Seohyun’s mother seconded.

“Cham.” Seohyun blushed and smiled.

“How many Omoni? Hahaha.” Yonghwa joked.

“Hmm, 3? 4?” Yonghwa faked his smile as he looked at Seohyun, drinking her glass of wine.

“Isn’t that too many? Will I able to raise all of them?” Seohyun, awkward.

“Kenchana. We’ll help you.” Yonghwa’s mother said.

“Hahaha. But seriously Appa, hmm. It’s really up to Joohyun. Me, I’m just here, waiting for her. Hahaha.” Yonghwa naughtily said.

“Hahahah! That’s my man!” Yonghwa’s father teased. “Yah, you should meet someone like Seohyun.” Yonghwa’s gather turned to his other son.

“Apuji, Seohyun is only Seohyun. And Yonghwa have Seohyun. Hmm. Maybe I’ll meet Yoona. Hahaha.” Yonghwa’s brother joked.

“Yah! Yoona is Lee Jonghyun’s girlfriend. Back off.”

“Oppa, not Yoona unnie. Hahaha.” Seohyun seconded.

“Wae? I thought she broke up with him last March?” Yonghwa’s brother continued digging the issue.

“They just got back together Hyung. Hahaha. Learn the guitar and be the lead guitarist of my band. Maybe Yoona would think twice about Lee Jonghyun. Hahaha.” Yonghwa teased his brother.

“Hahahahaha! I can’t imagine Oppa singing the parts of Jonghyun Oppa.” Seohyun joined the teasing.

“Then you teach me, Yonghwa. Just to get close to Yoona. Hahaha.” Yonghwa’s brother rode the teasing.

“Hahahaha.” The group laughed.

 

 

The family dinner went well. The parentals and Yonghwa’s brother didn’t notice the feud between his brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law. As they finished their dinner and had desserts, Seohyun continued drinking her wine making her a little bit tipsy already.

 

 

“Yah. Seohyuna. You’re blushing. You drank a lot of wine huh? You almost finish one bottle.” Yonghwa’s brother noticed Seohyun.

“Ah, is that so Oppa? Hmm. The wine tastes so good. Appa, please order one more bottle. Or maybe white wine this time.”

“Aren’t you drinking too much?” Yonghwa whispered.

“Huh? Kenchana. The wine tastes so good.” Seohyun awkwardly answered.

“Enough of that Joohyuna.”

 

Seohyun didn’t answer and just continued drinking while talking to the parentals.

 

 

Almost 11 when they left the restaurant and walked to the back entrance of the hotel and waited for their cars thru the valet. Yonghwa helped Seohyun walk because of much wine she drank. His hand was around her waist.

 

“Omma, I’ll send Joohyun home. She’s drunk.” Yonghwa’s annoyed with Seohyun getting too clingy on him while whispering words he can’t understand.

“Okay son.” Yonghwa’s mother replied.

 

Seohyun’s parents bid their goodbyes to Yonghwa’s family as they both got in the car and drove home. Yonghwa helped Seohyun get inside his car. He wore her seatbelt and say his goodbyes to his family.

 

“Omma, Appa, I’ll see you on Friday huh?” Yonghwa said.

“Yes son. Go and take care of Seohyun.” Yonghwa’s mother replied.

“Thank you Omma.”

 

 

Yonghwa stepped in inside his car and drove to Seohyun’s home, following Seohyun’s parents.

 

 

“You’re mad at me again because I drank too much.” Seohyun faced Yonghwa and watched him drive.

“You can’t be stopped. Are you drinking because I’m ignoring you?” Yonghwa’s scolding Seohyun like a dad.

“De. I’m so guilty. I’m so guilty because I can’t join you in Hawaii. I’m so guilty everything we talked about and planned messed up. I’m sorry Yongie.” Seohyun’s tears fell.
