Who's face can I scream "I told you so!" at? Please? Anyone?!

So TOP likes my step-cousin as MORE than just friends. Please, he could've been her father. Okay, maybe not. An uncle? Whatever. The point is that now they both like each other and it's up to me not to let either of them know of how the other feels.

And how did I find out? Freaking alcohol. A drunken TOP phoned my dorm one night, waking me up. He asked for Jess's number and when I asked why, he told me that he wants to confess his love for her.

I tried not to believe it. I told myself over and over, "He's drunk. He has no clue what the hell he's talking about." But weren't drunk words sober thoughts? Maybe that phone call was a good thing, so I could finally know the truth. Honestly though, I would've preferred to be lied to.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" I pulled Ji aside one day. We were going out as a group for what felt to me like the fiftieth time this week. He slowed his pace and let us fall behind.

"Yeah, what's up?" he asked me.

"I need to ask you something about TOP..." I think I might've had a hint of bitterness in my voice.

"What is it about him?"

"Don't you notice that he's been hanging out with Jessica a lot lately?"

"We all have. Are you trying to hint at something?"

"I think he likes her. Like, LIKE likes her." I felt ashamed to have to resort to middle school lingo, but I couldn't bring myself to call his emotions anything else.

Ji stared at me weirdly for a moment. He seemed to decide that I wasn't joking and that I was serious finally. "What makes you think that?"

"He called me a while ago at like 3 in the morning. He sounded really drunk and he told me himself that he liked her."

"But he knows better! He's twice her age!" he shook his head. "I find your story unbelievable, but I'll talk to him about this." He nodded reassuringly.
