Chapter 40
Dragon of the EastI woke up in my bed in Bucheon. Had it all been a dream? That's right. Jessica had always been in Canada, and I had never met anyone named Jiyong or heard of the band BIGBANG, either. I threw my legs over the bed. I was dressed in my pajamas.
I changed into something, but I didn't have any of the cute clothes I had bought with Nel on the day of the accident. I had never broken my arm. Wow, that dream had felt so real.
I settled for a red plaid shirt and light blue skinny jeans.
I went to my kitchen only to be confronted by the Leaning Tower of Dishes. I sighed. I missed the dream already.
After cleaning all of the dishes, I went and had breakfast. I made myself some scrambled eggs. I sat in front of my laptop and did a Google search.
"Bigbang" I wrote.
The entries came up as "Big bang theory" or this show called "The Big Bang Theory".
I searched "Bigbang kpop" and the search engine was confused.
Huh. I guess I had dreamed them up. I searched "Kwon Jiyong" and he didn't come up. I guess he didn't exist at all.
When I finished breakfast, I set the plate and fork into the sink and got ready to go to work. What day was it? Monday? Tuesday? My phone told me Thursday. Okay, not too bad. Because a lot of people had things planned on Fridays, today would be mildly busy. Not as busy as it would be tomorrow, though.
When I got to work, quicker than usual, I took my place as normal and started to work on the first person in line.
My supervisor came to watch me and when I was finished, he asked to speak to me in his room.
Once in private, he closed the door to his office and I looked around. There was a black leather couch in front of a wooden desk with a wheeley chair on the other side. He sat at the chair and I took a seat on the edge of the couch.
