Chapter 82
Dragon of the EastI looked up at Ji now, and he was blushing. I turned back to the TV. I dared a glance at my father, and he was staring intently at the screen, waiting for an answer from his daughter's boyfriend.
"Well..." TV-Ji started. "I guess I will, when the time is right and we're both ready for it." He took my hand from where it sat on my lap and held it in his, back and forth with his thumb.
The female MC fanned her face with her cue cards and looked at me. "And when he does, what'll you say?"
I smiled. "I think it would take away from the specialty if he knows what I'll say."
"Are you saying you'll say no?" Ji frowned at me, jokingly. He made a pouty face.
"I'm saying you'll see." I winked and he smiled again.
"Aiiish... What am I worried about? Who would ever say no to me?" This time he winked and I laughed.
Back in reality, Ji was smiling to himself and my dad seemed content, so I guess all went well.
Ji and I went back to the kitchen to finish up the dishes. We did so without making a big, foamy, white mess this time.
"So, how'd you like breakfast?" I asked.
"I liked it! Your dad is a great cook." Ji said.
"So, do you regret being nervous to follow me?"
"Not a single bit." he kissed the tip of my nose. "You're still quite dangerous, Kimmy."
I giggled and dried my hands on a towel, then we rejoined my father in the living room. He was still watching the gossip channel
