We sat at the cafeteria, over a cup of non-fat frozen yogurt for me and a vanilla pudding for Mr. Song.

"So what's wrong?" he leaned in and asked.

A girl from our team passed by our table and waved at me. "You did great today!"

"Thank you, unnie!" I said, and bowed my head. When she was gone, I turned back to Mr. Song.

A man walked up to him, he was one of my "brothers". I think his name was... Min Dong..? He smiled at me, then to Mr. Song, he said something private. Then he walked away.

When we were finally alone and undisturbed, I told him the story.

He scooped up the last of his pudding and ate it, still listening.

Mr. Song propped his arms onto the table and leaned forward as I spooned my frozen yogurt.

"And then my boyfriend... Passed away." I felt tears in my eyes as if I was reliving those times. Mr. Song looked sad to see me upset.

"If you don't wanna talk about it, you don't have to." he reached out and patted my hand.

I shook my head. "I have to let it out." He gave me a moment to breathe, then I continued. "Anyway, so after his funeral, his girlfriend calls me and says she feels the need to fill in her boyfriend's place as my friend, so she asks me to go for coffee, which really surprised me because I was ninety-nine percent sure she hated me down to the last fiber of my being.
