Chapter 85
Dragon of the East"I'm throwing it!!" Jasmine shouted to the crowd behind her. She was standing with her back to us, getting ready to throw her bouquet.
The event was almost over and pretty much everyone was dead tired. I was about ready to go home and I was pretty sure half of the minimal makeup I'd been wearing when I got here had evaporated. My brothers couldn't be more excited, and I didn't even know why. Guys weren't supposed to catch the bouquet and Hiu was already married, for Christ's sake!
The bouquet flew out of Jazz's hands, arching way up into the sky. The multicolored petals flew away looking like a rainbow, and I guess I was too busy staring at the petals to notice where the bouquet was headed. Instinctively, I held out my arms and they landed perfectly squared and centered, as if it was rigged.
I looked up in surprise and everyone was staring at me. Moments later, there were applause and the buzz of chitchat, and a couple of women crying about how they'll never get married because of their poor catching skills.
My mother rushed to my side. "Good job! Let's hope the flowers can work their magic and you'll get married!" She squeezed my shoulders and left me with my mouth still hanging open, staring at these pretty flowers in my hands. I slowly regained my self-control and smiled, looking around again.
Jazz hurried to me. "Kim-unnie! You caught it!" She was in hysterics.
