Hyuk’s POV

I hit the table loudly before yelling, “CAPTAIN! PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN!” making everyone sitting on the round table to get startled.

The whole amusement park trip was a mess. The kids with me weren’t talking to each other the whole time. I asked Heemi but she isn’t saying anything and in the end she went back home early with Nong Rina and Hae forced Wang Qing and Dayu to stay to give some space to Heemi.

On Ryeowook’s side, surprisingly, Ai’Mark called me. I was furious because I haven’t accepted him yet but he explained to me that I needed to pull Ryeowook, Ai’Plan, and Ai’Gun away from each other because Ai’Mean and him are having a hard time controlling those crazy people. In short, the personality clashing and the spatting of words are endless.

On Sungmin and Kyuhyun’s team. I thought it will be smooth sailing already since I didn’t hear any complains but when they returned—Ai’Cap walked straight into me. He looked so exhausted and with lifeless voice he said that he will never go out with Sungmin and Kyuhyun. Then I remember that those two are hardcore when it comes to scary rides.

Lastly, on Leeteuk hyung. When they returned—Ai’Cooheart was furious. He keeps on cursing. That kid—I thought he is a good kid because he looks like one—I guess what Ai’Cap and Ai’Gun said about his personality is true. I found out from Ai’Kris that the two (Ai’Cooheart and Ai’Title) run into an old friend—the not so friendly old friend and now Ai’Cooheart is still at his worst state.

Why did I yell at my brother? He has been making himself busy by giggling and texting nonstop the whole dinner. The atmosphere isn’t great anymore and here he is busy giggling and messaging by himself, “P’~” he called me while quickly putting his phone down on the table.

I glared at him, “Ai’White was only away for today and you cannot keep your hands na khrab away from your phone! If you badly want to be with him then why didn’t you go back to Thailand too?” I said harshly while feeling Hae’s hands on top of my hand that’s on the table.

Captain bows down his head, “I just—I was just checking na P’ if he arrives,” he reasoned out making me shook my head, “If he arrives—he will message you. How many times do I need to remind you to eat on the table and not do other stuff?” I am being strict—I know but it isn’t proper to keep yourself busy while eating and to top that—he isn’t alone.

I scan the table and they aren’t looking at me—well except Ai’Gun because maybe he doesn’t understand much or maybe because he is my brother and he isn’t much afraid of me. Even his boyfriend isn’t looking at me.

The private room here in the restaurant became silent because of my outburst.

We all continue eating without anyone making too many noises—of course that doesn’t last long. “So—you all seems like afraid of Hyuk,” Leeteuk hyung commented and for once I am glad I am not the oldest one in the group right now.

Hyung kows how to handle these kids better than me. I know that hard way while hyung knows the easy way.

“Woie! Yes na khrab hyung! P’Hyuk is always scary na khrab to us. In our university na hyung—everyone knows him!” Ai’Plan of course answered and I won’t be surprise if my brother will follow after.

“I don’t really know why they are afraid of him P’ because when P’Hyuk was still in the university na khrab—he always treat me—Ai’Plan and even Ai’Title our lunch in his faculty na khrab—or maybe because P’Hyuk was the head hazer before? Woie! I don’t know but they are all scared of P’~” see—I am not wrong by guessing that Ai’Gun will talk.

Other than them—no one follows after.

Sungmin chuckled, “Really? Hyuk? Anyway—what is a head hazer?”

“Well—P’, in P’Hyuk’s faculty which is Engineering, they have a very special way na khrab of welcoming freshmen—” I look at Ai’Kris who is trying his best to explain Sotus in the easiest way possible—but I can’t help but glare at Ai’Yacht. He should explain this because he is part of it but he is letting my cousin explains.

“In Engineering, all freshmen na khrab need to undergo this thing called Sotus na khrab. People always see it at harsh way of disciplining people but Sotus system is one of the proudest traditions that Thailand College of Engineering na khrab have.” What a reliable cousin I have here.

Well, it looks like Ai’Yacht got the hint that I want him to explain the system and not my cousin, “Owww—” he started with that weird exclamation. Now the floor is his and most of the people are looking at him.

“I was hazed by P’Hyuk na khrab during university and—in the hazing—I mean in Sotus system na khrab—” I can’t help but face palm on how confusing he is, “Well—as Ai’Kris said, Sotus is the way of disciplining the new students from our college na P’ and we need to comply and attend all of the hazing meetings or else we will be punish na khrab~” the explanation is getting better at least.  

Before Ai’Yacht can continue, my brother interrupted again, “I remember P’Yacht getting punishment before na khrab—right P’Gun?” Ai’Cap said and my other brother nods, “Yes! Woie P’! You were always getting punishment na khrab from P’Hyuk P’Yacht because you don’t like following many rules na khrab. I remember you run 10 laps and did 50 push up drills before~”

I chuckled because those aren’t the only punishment this trouble maker received before.

He looks embarrassing scratching the back of his head, “Kee! How did you both remember that?”

I glared at him and hit the table again, “Watch your language in front of my brothers!” I said with my voice full of authority but Ai’Yacht can only point his accusing finger to me, “See that P’! That’s one of the reasons why I am still afraid of him!”

“If you will just explain it well then I won’t get mad at you—and fix your language!” I retort back.

I heard a handful of laughter from my friends, “Well—he sometimes scares me too~” Ryeowook said but his tone doesn’t sound like he really mean it.

Anyway, Ai’Yacht continues, “Anyway P’s—every year—there will be one head hazer na khrab. Actually, the third year head hazer na khrab needs to pick one head hazer from second year na khrab. In some cases—they already know who they want to be the next head hazer during the freshmen sotus—just like P’Hyuk. The previous head hazer chose P’Hyuk since he was in first year and then during his third year—he became the head hazer. The head hazer makes the system possible na khrab and he is like the leader of the pack. In short na khrab—P’Hyuk was the law that time,” isn’t that too exaggerating as an explanation?

No one is complaining though with the explanation, “And how many people follow him that time?” Kyuhyun decided to join the conversation.

“The whole third year na khrab—second year—and the freshmen na khrab P’.” Ai’Title surprisingly answered it for them.

My friends seem so shocked with the answer, “It’s normal don’t worry. I am the head hazer that time so they need to follow me. Only that,” I tried to explain it to them because Ai’Yacht make it sounds so exaggerating.

No one buys my explanation, “Woie! Not only those years na khrab. You know what P’s—up until now—people from Engineering na khrab are still afraid of P’Hyuk because when Ai’Cap and I go to the faculty—they are still doing what other Engineering did before when P’Hyuk was still around,” Ai’Gun said gesturing his hands making it more exaggerating.

I shake my head but Leeteuk hyung ignores me, “And—what are the things that they are doing?” he asked nicely.

Ai’Cap this time answered the question, “Well—help us around. Buy meal for us na khrab. Didn’t let us wander the faculty alone. Keep telling other juniors na khrab that we are P’Hyuk’s brothers and no one should bully us—and oh! Shows up in our performances and cheer like crazy people na khrab just—like when P’Hyuk was still in the university~”

Did they?

I better thank them then.

We all finished up our dinner quickly because it’s getting late and I still need to send the kids all back to Heechul hyung’s house.

We parted way, I let Ai’Cap and Ai’Gun stay with me in my car with Hae and of course Ai’Gun was complaining the whole ride because apparently I didn’t invite his boyfriend in the car. I hope he will get it soon that I really don’t want to invite that bastard in the car.

Ai’Title volunteered to drive the van where most of them are riding.

In Heechul hyung’s house. Almost all of them went upstairs already but before my brothers and that Ai’Mark can leave—I stopped them—the three of them.

“Why P’?” Ai’Cap sounds so sleepy already. I can’t blame him. He was awake early in the morning to send Ai’White in the airport and fetch their friends and now it’s pass 9pm right now.

I look at them one by one—especially the guy that I don’t trust who’s currently holding my brother’s hand, “No funny business,” I said trying to remind them.

“Funny business? What is funny business na P’?” then I forgot that I have Ai’Gun.

I smile at him and pat his head, “Nothing Ai’Gun. Just make sure na khrab that you will sleep with Ai’Cap na khrab tonight—” I continue patting his head lovingly, “Because your brother is sad because Ai’White left~” and I love the changes of his expressions, “And also—always close the door of the room. We don’t know what or who will come in the khrab~” this is not just a sweet good night reminder to Ai’Gun—this is also a threat to Ai’Mark and also a quick reminder for Ai’Cap.

Ai’Gun nods his head quickly, “Woie! Okay na khrab P’! I will remember that! Close the door—sleep in the room with Ai’Cap. Noted na khrab P’~” and he makes a cute salute gesture.

I turn to Ai’Cap after and also ruffle his hair, “Sorry for shouting at you na khrab—but try to be with us more na khrab Ai’Cap when we are together—okay?” I said softly. I know that I scared him during dinner.

What I love about Ai’Cap—he knows when he needs to accept my scolding, “Khrab P’—and don’t worry. I will not let anyone inside our room na khrab~” and he grins from ear to ear.

Though I stopped Ai’Mark, I didn’t say something to him—instead—I glared at him. I still don’t like him—he has a lot of explaining and a lot of gaining trust to do.

When the three of them walk upstairs, Hae tighten his grip on my hand, “Don’t worry Hyukkie. They will be okay,” he said and I can’t help but nuzzle my nose on his hair and kiss the crown of his hair. “I hope so—I really hope so~” I mumbled before we both walk out of the house.

Also, I got caught up with 'The Untamed' series and finished it all up in a week (the whole 50 episodes) and now I also finishe dup the 2 seasons of anime...read the whole novel...and almost done with the webtoon hahahahaha :)
