Captain’s POV

I have this huge smile on my face when I went out of our house and went in White’s car. Yes, I dropped the honorifics already because—our relationship leveled up already.

True to his words, he arrived 5 minutes before 6 am today because I told him last night to fetch me for breakfast. “Good morning~” I greeted with enough enthusiasm. I don’t want him to think that I am too excited to meet him today. White on the other hand smiles brightly at me, “Good morning Cap. Did you sleep well?” that’s our difference. I am too happy in the inside but wasn’t able to fully show it in the outside but White is very showy and vocal.

I nod, “Yes, but P’Gun was so noisy talking over the phone with P’Plan.” I answered with all honestly and I fail to notice that the car is already moving. This is not the first time I’ve been in White’s car but this is the first time I’ve been in his car as his boyfriend. “Did you tell Ai’Gun about us na khrab?” He asked me while looking at the road. He also failed to notice that my face is turning red, “Khrab—I don’t want to hide something from P’Gun so—as soon as he arrived last night, I told him about—us,” now I know why before, Ai’Toptap was so shy whenever I ask him about his relationship with Ai’Gunsmile.

We made a full stop in front of the stoplight and that is the only opportunity for White to look at me. He always drives safely so he doesn’t normally look at me whenever I am on his passenger seat, “Am I really here with you na Cap? Are you really my boyfriend na khrab?” he can be cute if he wants too. I shifted my position so now I am facing him, “Khrab—not unless you don’t want me here and you don’t want to be my boyfriend. Then our short lived romance will end—” “You surpassingly have your brother’s nosy mouth if you want to Cap. Of course, I want you to be here and I want you to be my boyfriend na khrab~”

I smile in victory while shifting back to my previous sitting position, “Drive already White, its green already.” I tried to hide my smile but failed big time.

‘Arghh White, how can you do this to me?’

“Nope, all you need to do is sit here na khrab and wait for me—khrab?” White pushes me down again to sit at one chair here in my college cafeteria. He keeps on insisting that he will buy food for me, “White khrab, I can do it on my own na khrab~” but I am also very pushy. I don’t want to just sit here patiently and wait for him. What am I? A baby bird that needs to wait for its mother to feed him?

Again White grabs both of my arm and lean down to me which makes me involuntarily to sit down, “Captain khrab—you don’t need to get your own food na khrab. I can do that for you—and besides who said I cannot pamper my boyfriend?” that’s what he said before he left me here. I can feel the hotness coming out from my cheeks.

‘Damn it White!’

So what can I do? I sit here patiently while looking at my boyfriend’s back while he is ordering food for us. “I need to get use to this,” I reminded myself and smile unconsciously when White looks like having a hard time ordering. Base on P’Plan’s story, he asked P’Mean about White. He said that White’s family is rich which is so obvious for me because he won’t be riding that expensive car for nothing. I didn’t ask White about his family background because it doesn’t really matter to me.

I continue starring, I can’t help but notice those freshmen Nong looking at ‘MY BOYFRIEND’ while giggling. “So handsome na kah~” I heard one of them said, “Chai—I should eat breakfast na kah here every day~” and another one. I don’t feel good listening to them, “I wonder if P’ has girlfriend already?”

‘Girlfriend—none—but boyfriend—he has!’

“Should I ask P’ for his Line na kah? What do you think?” I look at White again and he is ordering another set of food but this time I know I am on the victory side. So without thinking twice, I stand up on my seat and shout loud enough for White and for those girls to hear, “White khrab~” I called him out and instantly he looks back at me as well as those freshmen.

I smile brightly, “Buy me Thai tea na khrab too~” I said again which earns a big smile on White’s lips and frown from those freshmen. “Okay khrab!” He said before turning around and continues buying. “Who said only girls na khrab can claim their boyfriend? Me too na khrab!” I mumbled to myself before I sit down again and just make myself busy by reading the music sheet and listen to the music that P’Title sent to us this morning. It looks like we will have a performance soon.

I was too busy playing the song in my head while wearing my earphones when food starts to lay down in front of me. I pull out my earphone, “Why did you buy a lot of food na khrab White?” that’s the first thing that I said. I think 4 people can eat all of the food in front of me right now. White sit on the opposite side of me, “Well—I am not sure na khrab what you want to eat right now—so I bought what tasty looking food na so you can choose.” He said while smiling awkwardly at me.

I don’t know if I should smile by his innocence of shake my head. But I do appreciate his effort, “Every mornig na khrab White, all I want to eat is a bowl of hot rice porridge, a cup of Thai tea, and a plate of steamed dumplings—” he was nodding while I was talking, it’s too adorable, “So tomorrow—you don’t need to buy too much food—khrab?” and of course I assure him that we will do this again tomorrow.

White and I separated around 7:45am because I need to attend my morning class. As soon as I entered my classroom, I saw Ai’Gunsmile with Ai’Sing with him, “Ai’—what are you doing here? It’s almost 8:00am na khrab?” I didn’t know if they have morning classes but I know that Ai’Gunsmile is aware of Ai’Toptap’s schedule.

Speaking of Ai’Gunsmile, he looks worried, “Woie Ai’Cap—have you seen Toptap na khrab? We’ve been trying to reach his phone na khrab since last night,” his panic voice doesn’t sound good at all so I quickly grab my phone while answering them, “I haven’t—did something happen?” I am already dialing Ai’s phone number while I was speaking.

Ai’Toptap is always responsible with his actions. He doesn’t even want to make Ai’Gunsmile worries like this. The line rings and I am waiting until Ai’My friend answers his phone, “Last night—I just want to explain na khrab about last night. I hope you will be able to contact Ai’ na khrab~” it was Ai’Sing that answered me but I don’t know what happened last night. All I can remember was that Ai’Toptap messed up my phone by texting White and he ran away after.

On the 6^th ring, Ai’ finally answers my call, “Ai’T—” “Look Ai’Cap—I know that they are with you na khrab right now. Do you mind skipping class today and go to me na khrab? I really need someone to talk to right now~” his desperate tone got me so without thinking twice I said, “Okay khrab!” and Ai’ sighs on the other line, “I will send you the address na khrab. Please, don’t tell them na Ai’!” my heart is aching as I hear my friend’s voice. I nod though I know he cannot see it, “Okay na khrab!” and the line went off.

I close my eyes thinking of an alibi, “Is that Toptap na Ai’?” Ai’Gunsmile asked me right away so I open my eyes and sees his worried look and Ai’Sing has this eager look, “Nope—that was Ai’Tee from College of Science—khrab,” I am so sorry Ai’Tee for using your name. Both of their shoulders fell when I said it wasn’t Ai’Toptap. I gulp loudly before tapping Ai’Gunsmile’s shoulder, “I need to go na Ai’, P’Tee needs my help na khrab so—I will skip the morning class.” I said hoping they won’t catch my lie.

Ai’Gunsmile shakes his head, “It’s okay na Ai’, but please tell me if you see Ai’Toptap or if he calls you na Ai’. Tell him that I am very very worried right now.” He said before smile and run away from them.

‘Just what the hell is happening Ai’Toptap?’
