Hyuk’s POV

Hae and I are both laying here on my bed. We are so tired today. We visited some temples and ate tons and tons of street foods. Heemi—that girl. She never runs out of energy, “Are you sure that you don’t want to eat anything Hae? You might get hungry later.” I roll to his side and he smiles at me, “I am good already Hyukkie. Do you want me to get fat for eating too much?” I can’t help but stared at his perfect face. How can he look this beautiful?

I caress his face, “You do know that I will still love you even if you get fat, right?” and I will never get tired loving him regardless of his appearance. What I love is Lee Donghae and all of him.

He faced me this time so we are both looking at each other while laying on the bed, “Sometime—I am worried that you might stop loving me, Hyukkie—” I was so shocked about his words, “But then—I keep on telling myself, ‘How can you think that way? Hyukkie always reminds you how much he loves you!’” “Are my words and actions aren’t enough anymore Hae?” I asked him but quick enough he shakes his head. “I think I am being insecure because you are too perfect for me.”

We both think that we are too perfect for each other and that is something that makes us love each other more. “Anyway Hae, what can you say about my family?” I love my family so much and of course I want Hae to love them too.

He pulls my arm to make a pillow out of it and he puts his head on it, “Well—you have a lovely family Hyukkie. I love your Umma and Appa. They are very charming and they like me—” he can’t help but smile remembering my parents, “I must admit that I am very nervous meeting them because you know—they might really want their oldest son to be in a relationship with a girl—” I sigh because I know that up until now, those things that happened in Korea—in the past still hunts us both, “But luckily, they really like me.”

I push some strands of his hair that’s blocking his face using my free hand, “I am also glad that you like them.” What did I do in my past life that I am so lucky having my lovely Hae in my arms right now? Did a save a general? Or the King? “About your brothers—” I better listen carefully to this.

My brothers probably don’t have the best behavior in the world but I don’t want Hae to look bad at them, “I can see you on them.” “WHAT?” My voice raised a little and Hae flinched a bit, “Sorry,” I mumbled but he is really an angel, “I didn’t mean it in a bad way or something Hyukkie. They are so adorable. Captain is a little bit proper between the two of them but this morning—when we dropped them by their university—I can’t help but think how transparent he is. Did you notice his nervous face while convincing you not to go to their university?” I nod instantly, “Actually, I am starting to think that Captain is hiding something from me. He is very jumpy this morning.”

“But Hyukkie—you don’t need to force him. Give him time, maybe it’s about his studies.” I pull Hae closer to me, “Why does your words sounds like magic spell to me? I cannot say no to it.” I whispered to him because we are also this close and I don’t want to scare him again. All I can hear is his adorable giggle, “Stop it Hyukkie—you are making me blush~” I love this simple moment I have with Hae right now.

“Well—regarding Gun—I think he is more like you. He is playful and loud. He likes to play tricks and he isn’t afraid to be himself. But—I also notice his weird behavior this morning. Just like Captain, I think he is trying to run away from us. This morning, he escaped so fast we weren’t able to say goodbye to him. But regardless of that, I am glad that your brothers are really nice and they are not awkward to me.” Somehow, I can’t help but feel proud that our parents raised us with respect to different types of people.

I can’t help but pull my lovely Hae closer and envelop him with my warm embrace, “You don’t know how happy am I that you were able to meet my family Hae. I was so worried before our flight. I was worried that you will feel overwhelmed by the culture here.” He wiggles a bit which means he wants to protest but I am fast enough to talk again, “You accepted all of me even though people in Korea are not so accepting. I am for a fact is from another country and I experienced discrimination from Korea about my race and about my preference.” The saddest story of my life happened in South Korea and I don’t have the guts to tell it to my parents or to my brothers.

I love them so much and I don’t want them to think that I am putting myself into trouble for them. My parents are very chill about raising us but that doesn’t mean they won’t give a if someone tried to hurt any of their children. “Hyukkie—mianhae~” I push him out a bit to look at him, “Why? You didn’t do anything?” I asked him full of concern but his eyes are so watery now, “That’s the reason, I didn’t do anything. I wish I am brave enough like Heechul Hyung so that I was able to protect you before~”

What an adorable person, I pull him again but this time I let my lips touch his forehead, “Protecting you is my duty Hae, not yours. As long as you love me then nothing else matter.”

They said that couples grow out of love with each other whenever they showered each other with too much affection, but that doesn’t happen to Hae and I. Our love will always be our greatest foundation in this relationship. I am so lucky to have him in my life.

We are slowly drifting when we suddenly heard a loud knock on the door, “Hyuk Oppa, Donghae Oppa, we are going to eat now kah~” Heemi’s voice echoes inside our room but Hae is giggling, “She is using two different languages now. I wonder when is she going to add Chinese.”

I also can’t help but shake my head. I think this kid needs to learn proper manner first. “Oppa!!! Why did you lock the door?? OPPA!!” We both sit up on the bed and we both witness how the doorknob keeps on turning but we are not opening it. “Heemi, we are still full.” Hae answered anyway, which I don’t think is necessarily.

I sigh because she’s still knocking and turning the knob, “Oppa—pali juseyo—ajumma and ajusshi will get mad at you~” she’s still insisting and I don’t want to let her continue making noises so Hae and I both stand up and open the door. “Seriously Heemi—” that is the first thing that I said right after I open the door. What irritates me more about this girl, she has the same proud look just like her Umma, “You should knock on Ai’Cap and Ai’Gun’s room first—and please don’t call my parents ‘ajumma and ajusshi’ that is very disrespectful.”

Heemi walks away from us without saying anything. She went to the next door which is my brothers door and knock furiously, “Gege—Cap Gege—Gun Gege—we will eat now—come out already!!!” then to my surprise, she holds on the knob and turns it just like what she did to our room—but my brothers don’t normally lock their doors so she was able to open it without any sweat.

“WOIE~” the first thing I heard is the loud remarks coming from Ai’Gun. “Gege stop playing with your guitar—let’s eat now!! Donghae Oppa and Hyuk Oppa didn’t feed me a lot today!! I am starving!!” She is complaining about the food but as far as I can remember she ate every tasty looking food that we came across today.

“Okay na khrab Nong. P’ will go out na khrab~” and that’s my other brother, Ai’Cap. I am glad that they are not mad at the sudden intrusion, “Seriously Hae, we need to teach her proper manners.” I whispered to my boyfriend while shaking my head again and again. “Khrab~” Hae answered me this time.

I kiss his cheeks before walking towards Heemi and my brothers.
