“I don’t know na kah Unni. I was so shocked when Appa told me that Nai Nai scolded my Umma na kah~” I sigh deeply remembering my conversation with Appa the other night. I was a bit mad at Umma because he scolded me many times but I didn’t do anything wrong na—but Appa explained to me that Nai Nai was mad because I am talking weirdly. Unni stared back at me on my laptop screen, “I wonder how hard na kah for you to live in different cultures, Nong. Korea, China, and then Thailand too.” Actually, I easily adapt to wherever I am but the con is—I also adapt the way people talk.

I nod my head, “Neh Unni, I suddenly want to go back na kah to Thailand or to Korea but I also miss people here in China na kah,” I know it’s weird that I have so many things in my mind and I don’t normally make up my mind very well. I easily change decisions too and Appa told me it’s because I am still young and easily influence by other people. Well actually, Rina Unni and I only have the chance to video call today on Skype because she told me that she was busy for many days because of her tests. I roll on the bed while still talking to Unni, “By the way na kah Unni, how are our ships?” and that’s the main point of the video call.

Unni laughs before saying, “Woie—P’Captain and P’White are official now na kah~” I tilt my head, “Official in what Unni?” I asked confusedly and Unni explained right away, “Official in the university,” I can’t help but let out a yelp because of the news, “Chinja Unni? They are open to the public now na kah?” I want confirmation once again and good thing Unni nods her head, “Chai Nong—they were holding hands na kah today in the university and there are so many people in our ship now Nong. I ate lunch with them today and Nong—you won’t really believe this na kah but P’White is like the perfect seme na Nong. I though P’Captain doesn’t have hands because he almost did everything for him na kah~!” I want to jump but, “Aish—I missed the good parts now,” I complained because somehow, if I didn’t go back here in China I might witness those tooth aching moments with Cap Gege and P’White.

“Woie! It’s okay na Nong, they are still clumsy with each other na kah. P’Captain is still shy around P’White and P’White isn’t aggressive na kah. I think when you go back to Thailand na kah you need to let P’Captain borrow more of your books,” I nod eagerly agreeing to Unni because Cap Gege is very inexperience it’s making me feel bad watching him and P’White together.

“How about P’Mark and Gun Gege? How are they?” I moved to the next couple which involves my very cheerful yet innocent Gege. Rina Unni’s facial expression suddenly changes. She really ship those two so much, “P’Gun found out that P’Best is my brother last Sunday Nong,” my mouth voluntarily make a big ‘O’ shape, “DAEBAK!” I exclaimed because I was also shocked last Saturday when I found out that her P’ is P’Mark’s ex, “You cannot imagine how shocked P’Best was when he saw P’Gun and P’Plan with P’Mark in our house last Sunday na kah,” this Unni thinks the same way as me so I don’t think Gun Gege would go to her house with P’Mark without any reason.

I grin, “What was Gun Gege and P’Plan even doing in your house na kah Unni?” I asked her without hesitation and of course Unni chuckled, “Well—I heard from P’Best na kah that P’Mark will visit the house to help him with his English. That P’Idiot doesn’t know English very well—” I almost laugh because Unni’s English isn’t that great too so I think she and her P’Best have the same English level, “So of course, since P’Mark is from IC na kah, my brother called for help. Well you told me that P’Gun is really good at English too so I want to make my P’ na kah to be intimidated with P’s awesome ability so I called him and found out na Nong that P’Gun was with P’Mark and P’Plan. Well—I lied a little bit na kah ang told P’Gun that I will have declamation in English at university—” “And Gege didn’t even ask why a student from College of Math has English declamation?” I can imagine Gun Gege.

Unni laugh loudly, “Chai Nong—he didn’t even ask so P’Gun arrived with P’Mark and P’Plan and I was able to prevent na kah my P’s plan to be alone with P’Mark—anyway if P’Gun didn’t arrive, I would still third wheel them,” she proudly say and I wish we could hi-five now because Unni really likes P’Mark and Gun Gege rather than P’Mark and her P’Best. “But aside from that Unni, what else are their progresses?” I can’t help but asked her because I am a natural curious person.

Unni sit up straight from her bed carrying her smartphone probably and leaning her back on the headboard, “Actually na kah, it was weird this lunch because P’Mark wasn’t there when normally P’ is with P’White and P’Mean. I didn’t ask of course na kah because I am not so close to them and the only reason why I was there was because P’Plan  saw me near their building and offered me to eat lunch with them. When P’Plan talked, he kind of said about P’Gun still thinking if he wants to follow P’Cooheart’s advice or not. Then P’Gun was saying about not minding if he tries or something Nong. P’White asked P’Captain what was happening but P’Captain doesn’t have any idea too so I think P’Gun has a plan that only P’Plan and P’Cooheart know.” This is probably the most complicated situation that Gun Gege tried to get himself involve with.

I also sit up straight from my bed and carries my laptop with me but I settle myself in the middle of the bed, “Then—it’s not a progress Unni,” I concluded because P’Gun is still confused, “But you haven’t heard the good part na kah Nong,” but she still sound so excited. It’s making me feel excited too, “What part Unni?” I asked her and she quickly answers me, “P’Gun asked me na kah about my P’Best. I was so confused because P’Gun and P’Best are not close—they are enemies—they should be because of P’Mark. But P’ suddenly asked me so I told him some stories about my P’ na kah and then suddenly P’Gun asked me if P’Best still wants to be together with P’Mark which makes the whole table silent and makes me feel awkward na kah—good thing my brain cells works perfectly and suddenly think of a scenario from an anime that I’ve watched recently Nong,” there you go—our references for good love story.

I listen carefully, “I told P’Gun and everyone na kah some white lies—” “Like?” I asked, “Like—I told them how in love P’Mark and P’Best was before that P’Mark faced my parents like a brave man—I heard the story from P’Best the other day so it’s still true—and then I also told P’Gun that P’Best was so depressed when they broke up and P’Best really did his best to forget about P’Mark but it’s not possible so he tried finding P’Mark again to ask him back which is—I am not sure if it’s true or not,” I laugh loudly hearing what she just told Gun Gege and I bet Gege believes her 100%.

“I thought it was over na kah but P’Gun suddenly complained—like legit complained na kah Nong. He said that P’Mark told him before na kah that he doesn’t have any feelings for P’Best anymore but it looks like P’Mark isn’t telling the truth because he thinks that P’Mark will be in a relationship soon with P’Best,” I really cannot help laughing because Gun Gege is seriously adorable. He is like a baby, “But Nong, I agree with P’Gun like ‘Chai P’, I think they will get back together na kah soon,’ and P’Gun looks so mad and irritated and I tried my best to hold mu laughter and—” but suddenly, Unni stopped talking. She is just staring back at the screen and is slowly opening into a big O.

“Unni—” I called her but she didn’t move, “Unni na kah~” I called her again but she is just blinking there on screen, I almost thought that the video stopped, “Rina Unni~” I called her again but still no response, “Mei Mei, it’s your turn to take a bath,” I suddenly look behind only to see my Baba walking out of the bathroom with towel wrapped around his waist and another towel he is using to make his hair dry.

I blink many times before swallowing my saliva, “I will—Baba—I just need to say something to my pengyou na kah~” I did my best to answer him in the best way possible but Baba only looks at me with his sharp eyes before sighing, “Don’t let Nai Nai hears you talk like that Mei, she will be mad again.” he said before walking towards the other room which has his clothes. I sigh one more time before looking at the monitor of my laptop and with Unni still looking stunned, “Unni na kah,” I tried calling her again and she’s breathing very heavily now, “Nong—” she called me, “Who is that na kah?” then she smiles widely, “Woieeeee very handsome na kah Nong~” I knew she will say that.

One of the reasons why I also agree to go back here in China is because my Appa told me that Baba is looking for me already and wanted to see me. How can I say no to Baba? “Oh—that—” then I giggle, “That is Baba—actually not really my Baba because Hangeng Appa is my real Baba but when I was young na kah, Baba lived with us in Korea for few months to study and I was like 3 or 4 years old that time so Baba takes good care of me and that was why I started calling him Baba na kah which means father in Chinese. He is—actually my cousin—but since he is older than me by 8 years and so handsome na kah, I really like him. he is like my ideal type,” I remember my beautiful days with Baba while growing up.

“Woie! Nong, that’s na kah!” she commented which makes me laugh more, “Neh—but only crush Unni. Baba is really good to me so I like him na kah—he treats me like—” but I stopped talking, I shouldn’t be thinking about that Gege, “Like—like P’Title?” Unni asked me and all I can do is nod, “Nong Heemi kah, you are still young and I don’t think P’Cooheart will like you if you he finds out na kah that you still have feelings for P’—so if I were you—go out and find new crush in China na kah,” I seriously agree with Unni. Somehow, I am glad that I am in China right now.
