Joshua's chain cafes were doing fine, he was getting back into limbo with Korean culture, he was settling well in his new home away from home (Seungcheol's place). But he couldn't help but feel a little out of place, not knowing what he should do with himself.

The same schedule on repeat, nothing new, just go to work, observe one of the sites, communicate with his managers, look over some legal things, go home, eat, sleep repeat. It's not that he doesn't like the same thing over and over again, in fact he might like it a little if no problems arise. However it was a little boring. Before, when he was back in America, he would've been working in the day, messaging Seungcheol and friends in the evening, then spending the rest of his free time with Jeonghan. Since Seungcheol and him were now in the same time zone and they both work day jobs, they talked less, both being tired as the night went on. 

He decided he needed a distraction, a little off time, to get away from the repetitive words in his head. Getting advice from Hoshi, he decided to visit the park for a breath of fresh air. Walking on the perimeter of the park, he watched little kids and their parents playing on the playground. Thinking of family, the first thing that came up was Jihoon and company. They were one big family. Seungcheol, Hoshi, Jun, Jihoon, Mingyu, Seokmin, Myungho, Seungkwan, Hansol and little Chan. Chan has been growing up well, finally saying his first word "mumum". Although to anyone else it would sound like mom, everyone in their little family knew baby Chan meant food. His babbling is starting to sound like words and just the other day he called Jihoon "hoom". 

Seungcheol screeched in his ear when Joshua told him how he witnessed it and demanded Joshua retell every detail. Seungcheol was busy with something so he couldn't visit that day, Joshua dropping by on a whim. Eventually Joshua came up with the genius plan of facetiming Seungcheol and showing him. Jihoon was leaning back on the couch, baby Chan sat on his stomach. Chan was wiggling up Jihoon's torso, Jihoon's arms protectively around his bum. Jihoon hummed familiar melodies while Chan was babbling along until his hands finally reached his brother's face. His chubby fingers slapped at the soft cheeks as he giggled, the happiest baby in the world. "Hoom~ Hoom~" He giggled, Jihoon's hands cupping him under his armpits and shaking him left and right gently. Seungcheol cooed so loud through the phone, Joshua was a little worried that his noises might disturb his coworkers. 

Continuing on his walk, he watched the remaining leaves fall off the trees, the change of season near. Looking around for a bench, he saw one off in the distance and headed towards it. SItting down, he thought of a different family. Taking out his phone, he took a few photos of his surrounding and sent them to his mother in LA. It was the afternoon here, so it must be late at night there. He didn't wait for a reply knowing how early his parents sleep and sent the pictures to Seungcheol as well. It wasn't a surprise when Seungcheol responded with his own photos.

Looking back at the bustling street before him, he was reminded of an encounter. He once not long ago sat with Jeonghan here. He couldn't help but think of his family too. Joshua had a normal family, although a little wealthy. He was like everyone else when he was young, enjoying the sun, playing around in school. Not pampered, not entitled but working hard for the things he loves. Going to college was the highlight, seeing Jeonghan for the first time. When he entered a relationship with that man, he didn't know about his family situation. They rarely talked about it and Joshua knew not to bring it up, knowing Jeonghan was uncomfortable with it. 

Thinking about it now, Jeonghan must of gone through a lot to continue to meet him with such an overbearing father. Not knowing anything and still seeking out Jeonghan at every chance he could, how much inconvenience had he caused him? Regardless, Jeonghan met him when he could and hung out often with him. He knew Jeonghan was going to functions since the beginning, he just didn't know that he was literally his father's pawn. 

Joshua's improving mood began taking a downfall, the negative emotions shocking himself as well. Deciding not to stay and dwell, he got up and continued his walk. Feeling a bit lonely, he hit up Jun. "Hey, you busy?" Jun chuckled on the other end. "If I was busy, would I have picked up your call in the first ring?" Jun was been doing better too. He was more expressive and genuine, showing a side Joshua and crew don't usually get to see, all thanks to Myungho. "You're right. Since you are, how about a meal?" 

"Sure, where you at?" Joshua told him his location and waited for his friend to show up. Jun was there in 10 minutes, wearing a huge smile as he waved Joshua to join him in the car. "What were you doing out here in the cold all by yourself?" 

"Just clearing my head. Things just started feeling repetitive and boring." Jun nodded in understanding. "Don't let Jihoon hear that, he wouldn't be too happy." Jun joked, knowing how Jihoon loves his schedules. Joshua chuckled knowingly. "I'm guessing after the meal you want to go visit them?" Jun nodded before switching on the radio. "You lucky that they getting out of daycare in half an hour, otherwise I would have left you in the cold and fled to their home."
