CHAPTER 100
Angels and Demons
EPILOGUE
As far as Jaejoong was concerned, everything was back to normal with some minor differences. He and Dara had continued on with their regular life among the humans. Their married life was as always exciting. This time, though, Dara had more time for him since the role as protector for the Siesmyres had been relegated to Jade. Their daughter Jade now looked like a fifteen‑year‑old girl. As per agreement between the Siesmyres and Lightside, ten months of the year, she would stay with whoever Elder was assigned to her and the other two months, she would spend in Lightside with her grandfather, doing some training. She was destined to be the queen of the Siesmyres but also as an angel warrior.
Jaejoong and Dara had decided to let her live her life since she was matured enough to understand the responsibilities in her life. Jade was also free to drop in on Jaejoong and Dara whenever she wanted to, just like today.
She had bailed out of Elder MiKyung's lectures.
"I already know what she was going to tell me since it is about the history of the Siesmyres. So after answering all of her questions correctly which by the way was like an oral test, she allowed me free time," Jade explained as she plopped herself on the sofa. She was wearing a white T-shirt and black skinny jeans. She had learned to dress herself properly and hadn't picked up the habit of going like the Siesmyres. Her green eyes began to study Jaejoong. "How come you're dressed up, dad? It's already dark outside, no more school."
"I'm going to check on something," Jaejoong said.
"You're not taking mom?"
"She had just bought several blu‑rays and plans to watch them all night."
"Woah, movies!" Her eyes widened with interest. "We should have some popcorn or order some fast food!" She jumped out of the sofa and grabbed the phone on the counter. Two golden quill pens were also on the counter along with a small pad of paper. The pad of paper was bought from a bookstore. But the two quill pens were Jade's gifts to her parents. She made it from the feathers of her angel wings. His son, Junki was supposed to give those gifts after he had won in the Arena. But Junki had only sent those gifts two weeks later and their daughter didn’t like it.
"She seemed to have inherited your fascination with unhealthy food," murmured Dara.
Jaejoong quickly gave her a kiss.
"You take care of our daughter and I'll look into what our son is up to."
"Isn't it about time we tell her about Blue?" Whenever anyone asked about Blue, their explanation was he's in the Midnight Realm, learning and training.
"Let him decide when and how to tell her about him. If Jade becomes too curious as to what her brother is doing in the Midnight Realm, send her to Junki's office and let him explain everything."
Dara giggled and squeezed him in a hug.
"Okay, see you tomorrow," she whispered before letting him go and walking toward the couch.
"Bye, everyone!" Jaejoong said before stepping out the door.
