BTS StoriesSong: Jung Yonghwa (CNBlue) - Because I Miss You
“It’s time for you to leave...”
“You can’t stay here...”
“You have to go…”
Every word flowing out the man’s mouth had a specific refreshing color. They flew toward Taehyung smoothly and created spring in the winter he was taking every breath with pain.
Taehyung moved his lips. No matter how hard he tried to say a word in response, nothing came out.
“See, you don’t belong here.”
They’d been there for as long as Taehyung could remember. He grew attached to him. He was his guidance in the dystopia he was trapped in. He helped him to know about the true value of things. But still, Taehyung wasn’t ready to let go of him.
“You still have to experience many things.”
Taehyung shook his head in denial when the man’s figure started fading away to the pure white of the background.
“Just… don’t forget to tell her I love her, please.”
“You’ll do that for me, right?”
The man smiled when Taehyung nodded continuously. His time was up, as much as he didn’t want to accept it he had to acknowledge it after all. He just wished he had a little more time to teach her a bit more, to help her spread her wings, to love her a bit more. The last thing Taehyung had seen in his face before he faded away was regret.
Taehyung cried. He wished he could be the one in his place. But he was chosen to go back while he was the one who had been chosen to leave for the afterlife.
Hana was taking a walk home, earbuds in her ears while the spring breeze was her face. The wave of thoughts kept her mind busy and her pace low. It was just one of those days which life didn’t sound fair. Why her? What did she do so wrong that she had to face that?
At the crossing, instead of going straight home, she turned right and after walking for a little more she stopped by a bench under a large evergreen and sat on it.
Three in the afternoon and no one was there. The only sound that could be heard was a few birds chiming and her soft sniffs. Silent tears were streaming down and she would clean them just in time when they were out the safe zone of her sunglasses.
When her dad passed away someone advised her that she should let herself cry as much as possible but she didn’t, she couldn’t. She was just so shocked that no tear came out of her eyes. After that, she couldn’t cry too. She didn’t want to go weak before her mom who was suffering herself. She pretended that she was fine although she wasn’t anything close to it.
She missed her dad. She needed him.
Millions of dreams and fantasies of having a normal family was still vivid in her mind and heart. Eating breakfast around the table as a family. Going on a trip as a family. Sitting on his lap even though she became a grown up and was heavy as hell but he just wanted to hug her and shower her with his love. She even missed getting scolded by him because she scored a little lower in math than usual. She couldn’t ever introduce a boy she liked to him. She wanted to see how her dad would get over
