They play with humans, of course!

Notes From Reviewer

Sorry for the review taking so long, I finally stopped having terrible stomach pains so I'm back to reviewing, woo. The story was definitely better than I thought it would be and I'm glad I gotta read it. Anyways, thank you for requesting and I hope the review was to your liking. Don't forget to credit the shop and have a good one! ♥

Title

I like how it's Six Deadly Sins instead of the casual Seven that everyone uses. It's no fun to see the same exact things all the time so I like the small idea of taking one of the sins out to make six. After reading the chapters there are, I think the title is simple yet fitting which is good.

Description & Foreword

I kind of laughed at the fiirst part of the description, I have no clue why. The way I read "They play with humans, of course!" made me laugh - like I read it in some weird "duh" kind of way. (I'm getting off course please excuse me).

Anyways, literally speaking, the description sounds pretty good. I like the Iron and Golden age concept and you even used the fancy names like Lucifer, Beelzebub (my favorite name, it sounds funny), Sathanus, etc. I ended up watching the trailer out of pure curiosity and that really looks like a trailer to something I'd watch. I honestly feel like we are in the Iron Age right now in like, real life. We, humans, do destory and torture Mother Nature and we kill our Earth all the damn time so I really liked that.

Plot

You know, the song I was listening to actually kind of fits this kind of plot - it's probably a song you don't know (if you do I love you more) but it's practically about the end of humanity somewhat. It's called Nightfall by XANDRIA (if you ever wanna look at it) but reading this with that song made it like 100x better, I have no idea why though.

I like the scene where Chanyeol asks the girl besides him if she heard Baekhyun's voice and she just scooted away. It made me chuckle. Plot wise, I really love how you made it so they can communicate by thoughts and that the demons don't need to be seen and I like how all the demons relate to the humans they go for. Like Chen is in charge of food and Xiumin has the bakery.

I ended up reading the whole thing, which I originally wasn't going to do, because it was that good. I loved the whole concept of the demons and there only being one or the other (in reference to Heaven and Hell), the concept was just great. It was refreshing to read something like this, especially because I've never read something like this before and it was original.

Writing Style

The writing style was pretty ing good. I loved all the myth stuff, the fancy names, just all of it. I like all of the creatures that come from Hell like the three headed pooch and the Phoenix. I felt like I was reading a mythology book and I have no idea how my brain thought that but well, that's how I felt. It was really refreshing to read something like this.

Characterization

The characterization for everyone was pretty much on point. I really like how Kyungsoo had a backstory with Kai and used to be an angel, it's nice that you put that in there since it wouldn't just be everyone looking for a human to with pretty much. So out of the story background thing for the characters, if that made sense, these two are my favorite.

I'm just gonna discuss them in couples since I think that's the best way to do it. For Chanyeol and Baekhyun, I feel like the relationship they have going on can really go somewhere - I don't know why. The scene with Chanyeol pulling Baekhyun into a tight embrace made me really think something cute (until Baekhyun practically says "let me you" but still). I like their first meeting, it really has character and made me laugh. I think they became my favorites in the story so far as a pair. As I said for the two above, they have a story to their relationship unlike these two who just met out of the blue kind of thing.

For Xiumin and Chen, I like their dynamic too. Chen, as Minseok/Xiumin had said, is definitely nice for a demon. Or well, he is nice to Minseok. I like how he helps Minseok with the business and made it more substainable and profitable. I can see them having a cute relationship.

For Tao and Kris, I like how Tao feels like he is losing his mind. He thinks Kris is just his imagination and that he's just insane. His suicide attempt did catch me off guard but I should have seen it coming considering most people would lose it with a demon on their heel all the ing time just staring at them.

For Suho and Lay, I wasn't expecting Suho to be a priest honestly. That definitely caught me on a loop which is good. I like surprises. I have yet to see much of their relationship since there hasn't been much moments between the two as of right now.

Flow

The flow was pretty good and consistent. It did switch from couple to couple, to say it that way, a few times but you made it work so it's all good.

Personal Enjoyment

I feel like half, or more than half, of this review is me gushing over the fanfic which isn't a bad thing but I really couldn't help myself, it was really good and I hope I didn't steer into the wrong lane and miss out on saying something. But really, I enjoyed this and who knows, maybe I will finish reading it whenever it's done.
