A loud squeaking noise echoed in the hallway causing Dr. Jung to look up at her closed door. After a while it stopped but then resumed with the squealing coming closer and closer until her door opened and Yuri’s head popped in, “Hello.”

The doctor sighed as she watched Yuri enter her office in her office chair, “Umm why did you bring your chair?”

Yuri scooted closer, “Why not? It is comfy.”

Rolling her eyes, the doctor knew that would be her answer, “Is there a reason you are here?”

Yuri sat back in her chair comfortably, “I just wanted to see how you were doing? With you know work, life in general…”

“You want to know how Taeyeon is doing right?” Dr. Jung leaned forward smiling.

“Oh yea how is she now that you mention her,” Yuri maintained a façade that wasn’t really the reason she was here.

“She is doing well.”

“No big news?”

The doctor raised her brow wondering what Yuri actually knew, “No nothing.”

“Rumor is that you are getting a new home.” Yuri prodded more.

Dr. Jung wasn’t sure if she should laugh or let out another sigh of defeat, “I gave Taeyeon my old phone…are you two talking to each other?”

Yuri looked away quickly, “I mean she has my number if she needs it for therapy and all.”

“So she told you about the new house.”

“Well yes and no…”

Admitting defeat, the doctor let Yuri have the information she wanted, “Tomorrow we are looking at 3 possible places. All close to here and near several convenience stores. All 2 bedrooms so no we won’t share a room anymore.”

Yuri nodded along, “Very nice so you two are buying a house together. That was fast.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Oh you know…” Yuri trailed off, “I mean you are not technically dating but taking a big step of buying a house together. Good for you but seems out of order.”

The doctor nearly choked, “w-what?”

“You and Taeyeon are not dating but buying a house, a big step but progress.”

“It is just a house. Don’t misinterpret it.”

Yuri watched as Dr. Jung fanned herself a few times although the office didn’t get any hotter since she entered, “Are you ever going to ask her out? You know make it official?”

Dr. Jung nearly fell on the floor with such a bold statement, “Yuri…”

“Sooyeon…come on…why are you stalling it?”

“I am not.”

“You really are.”

Sooyeon sat back in her chair letting out a heavy sigh, “we are happy being friends.”

“Bull.”

“Yuri…” Dr. Jung scolded as if there was a child secretly listening to their conversation.

“You have feelings for her, I am 99% sure it is the same for Taeyeon.”

“Did she tell you?” Sooyeon asked shyly.

“You both don’t need to tell me. It is so obvious!” Yuri threw her hands up in the air ready to release her frustration.

“T-then why hasn’t she, you know, asked me?”

“Probably the same reasons you didn’t ask her…to be honest I am disappointed in your effort doctor. When have you ever let shyness get in the way of what you want?”

“For all the reasons that if she said no, we couldn’t be together anymore.” The doctor felt so vulnerable exposing her feelings like this.

Yuri got out of her chair ready to push it out the door again, “I think you know Taeyeon better than that. Anyway, I have patients to see so good luck with the house buying!”

Dr. Jung cringed at the loud screech from Yuri’s chair, but once her door closed and she was alone in her office once again, the doctor didn’t want this empty feeling anymore.
