Taeyeon could feel her skin tingling with nervousness. It wasn’t because the plane was preparing for landing or the fact that Taeyeon was about to meet her fiancé’s parents but for another reason. She contemplated many times over but no situation seemed ideal to tell the woman next to her that she wasn’t ready for marriage.

*Please take your seats the plane is landing*

Taeyeon rubbed her clammy hands and looked over at her sleeping partner. There was so much she needed to tell her, but how to make this delicate situation not hurt her. Taeyeon didn’t want to hurt her again.

After a short while the plane landed and Taeyeon woke up the sleeping girl. For a moment, Taeyeon forgot her troubles when the younger woman woke up thinking they were still in their apartment making her snort in laughter.

Once out of the plane, Taeyeon rubbed her shoulders that were sore from the long time sitting in her seat. She looked around lazily for their luggage and grabbed each bag as it came while the other woman stood watch of their carry-ons. Two giant suitcases later, Taeyeon came back to her fiancé, “I got them.”

The younger woman looked around Taeyeon to make sure it was their luggage before heading towards the exit. However, Taeyeon wasn’t ready for who she saw waiting for them. In fact, she stopped dead in her tracks wondering why the tears suddenly fell from her eyes, “umma…appa…”

Although their daughter was dead in her tracks, the elderly couple swept their daughter into their arms for a long awaited reunion.
