FLO POV

I load up an arrow and shot it at the target. It hit the bulls eye right in the center. Another one. The next thing I know all my arrows were at the bulls eye. I sighed and went to retrieve them.  I have been doing these since early morning.

Anything to erase the image of Kai and Lee Na Ra kissing from my head. Dang. There it goes again.

I kick the snow venting out my frustration on it.

Archery is doing nothing good to me. I should have brought out the boxing bag. I want to hit something.

“Florence stop.” I said to myself and dropped down into the snow. I move my hands and legs making a snow angel.

Jealousy is something new to me. I never had been so jealous of someone up to the point that I want to go violent. I don’t have any right to be in the first place. So this just .

“Your being stupid Florence.” I said out loud.

I lied to them yesterday. My lab didn’t alarm. I felt I was suffocating there and I needed to leave before I tackle the waitress.

The walk back to the apartment didn’t do any good either. I just wanted to go back and give the girl a piece of my mind. I wanted to go to every girl that had kissed him and give them a piece of my mind. Then again I don’t have any right to  do so.

Tears of frustration welled in my eyes and fall down.

I have no right to be jealous and seriously he’s way better off with an ordinary girl then with me. He will always be in danger when he’s with me. The only way I can stay with him if the Institute suddenly disappears which is impossible.

I sighed as the snow start to fall again.

Kai deserves a safe and bright future. That will only happen if I disappear from his life from all of their lives.

I wish Ren will come back sooner. So I can finish what I had promised to Luhan and Kris and I can finally leave.

No..both sane mind and lovesick mind protested in my head.

“I don’t want to leave to but I need to do it, to keep all of them safe.” I said.

Can’t we do something? Sane mind asked.

“We can’t bring down the Institute.. so no. We just have to find Luhan and Kris’s cure and we go. We should go.” I said.

You make it sound so easy.

“I know it won’t but we have too.”

You know you’re talking to yourself right?

“Good thing I’m alone then.”

I laughed dryly as I sit up and wipe my eyes. It was cold. The snow will be perfect for building snow mans. I pick up a handful and balled it. I stopped instantly. I had pictured this differently.

I love snow but even it didn’t lift my spirits up.

I heard my phone ringing. I have been ignoring all their calls since last night. I glance at it and it was Rob calling. I answered it. it must be something about the apartment. I was back at the big house.

“Rob?” I said.

“Ms. Khan your friends were here and were looking for you. I said you were at the big house.” He said.

“What?!”

“Did I do something wrong?”

“No.. I’m just surprised that they were there. it’s school break already.”

“they seemed anxious to see you. I hope I didn’t do something wrong.”

“No Rob it’s okay. Thank you for informing me.”

I ended the call and went back inside depositing my bow and arrow at the table. I called up Minny.

“Flo?” She answered at the second ring.

“If you guys are coming here can you stop at the supermarket? There’s no food here.”I said to her.

“How did you know?”

“you talked to Rob. He called me.”

“Oh.. what should  we buy?”

“Ask D.O.. he’ll know what to buy. I’ll pay you guys when you arrive.”

“okay.”

“See you.”

I checked my pantry. It still half stocked but I was out of fresh ingredients. D.O. will know what to buy. If Minny loves to raid my closet D.O. love to raid my pantry. The rest? I think they want to raid the vault again.

I sigh. How will I ever leave them? Do I even have the strength to do it?

They arrived all together a few minutes later.

“Mademoiselle your friends are at the door.” Brad’s voice rang out.

“Can you let them in? My hands are a bit full.” I said pulling out mugs. I was making chocolate drinks.

“Flo?!” Kai’s voice rang out.

“Kitchen!” I answered my heart doing somersaults.

He’s here..!!

Shut up!

“Both of you shut up.” I murmured as Kai entered the kitchen followed by the rest. “Hi guys.”

“what are you making?” Minny asked.

“Chocolate drinks. Want some?” I said pouring some into a mug and handing it to her.

“This tastes like anything you cook.. amazingly wonderful.” Minny said sipping it.

“Can I have some?” Xuimin asked.

“Help yourself.” I answered handing him the pitcher. “Be careful it’s a bit hot.”

The boys crowded around the pitcher demanding to be served first. I smiled watching them.

“Are you okay now?” Kai asked me.

“I’m fine.” I answered. “Why are you guys here? It’s winter break.”

“We did promise you we’ll make snowmans but you ran off yesterday.” Suho said.

“Sorry ‘bout that. Did you guys enjoy eating there?” I ask them.

“The food was great but it would have been more fun if you were there.” Lay answered.

“Well we can always go back there.”  I said shrugging. I doubt that. I don’t want to go back there ever again.

“Flo I brought everything I thought you needed.” D.O. said.

“Thanks! How much do I owe you?” I ask.

“Nothing. We chipped in.” Beakhyun said.

“no I should pay you back.” I insisted.

“Flo it’s okay.”Minny said rolling her eyes.

“You can use the money to buy my Christmas present.” I answered grinning.

“I thought this was already our Christmas gift?” Sehun asked.

“Ehhh?” I pouted.

“We’re kidding. I already have your present.” Sehun said.

“You don’t have too baby.”I said shaking my head.

“Flo Christmas is the only time of the year where we can give you presents and your forced to take them without any complaints so up.” He said.

“Fine fine. Thank you in advance.” I said grinning.

“Flo is this yours?” Tao asked pointing to the bow and arrow I had left on the table.

“No it’s the next doors neighbors.” I said sarcastically.

“Yeah she’s better. Her excellent humor is back.” Kris said throwing an arm on my shoulder.

“ehhh…” I complain as I try to remove his arm he was making it heavy on purpose.

“Can we try Flo?” Suho asked.

“Sure. But be careful those are modified arrows. It has small spikes on the side and I use a long bow not the modern kind.” I answered.

“What? Are you saying we can try it  or not?” Tao demanded.

“You can try it… wait do you really want to shoot arrows today? I have a modern set.” I said.

Tao, Suho and Beakhyun nod enthusiastically.
