Jeon Soyeon was small but powerful, since she was a child she knew what she wanted and tried her best to achieve her dreams, she was the leader, willing to do anything to protect her girls, she was so in control of her emotions in public but at home... at home she was someone else. Soyeon would vent to Yuqi about criticism, about media pressure, setting up their own company had been difficult, but with the support of the girls they were managing to make their own music and live their personal lives without fear, the way they wanted and how they wanted.

The party was a Black and White event and Soyeon looked amazing, making her way around the room with ease, making conversation with her guests and possible donors. Her eyes scan the room, finding her family and her found family scattered amongst the crowds, all four of the girls flew to be there and support her and she feels a surge of pride and love for them, and for how grown up they all are. A hand on her back grabs her attention and she looks over her shoulder to find Yuqi behind her.

Soyeon was so worried about the event that she had left the house before Yuqi had finished getting dressed but now, her breath catches in as she watches Yuqi, her dress was made for her, strapless black silk and lace that fell gracefully to the floor.

-You also look very beautiful in that dress, did you talk to any important people?

-A few, but I'm talking to the most important person right now

Yuqi blushed

Yuqi blushed as Soyeon presses her lips to her cheek, the simple act of affection spreading warmth across her chest, they always kept PDA to a minimum in public and even at a LGBTQIAPN+ event she was surprised by her girlfriend's displays of affection

-I love you

Grinning like a schoolgirl Yuqi held Soyeon's hand

-I love you too, now come on, It’s time to get your game face on, we still have a lot of money to raise and we still have the big event of the night

Events were never Soojin’s favorite things to go to, even after so many years of being an idol, she still couldn't get used to all those people, in this sense she was jealous of Minnie, she had participated in events like this since she was a child so she was used to small talk with strangers. Yongsun was telling her Yongkeey´s last prank when she recognized a musical laugh, Soojin had to keep herself from snapping her head to the side to look at where the sound had come from, when she asked Soyeon if Shuhua would come, she wasn't sure, she was filming a movie in Taiwan but would try to attend the event.Shuhua was wearing an one-shoulder crepe gown and her hair was braided most elegantly, and complemented her features in a way that was almost indescribable. This wasn’t the first time she had thought of her best friend in this manner, deep down, too deep for her to admit, she loves Shuhua. Not just as her group colleague, not just as her awkward maknae. Soojin loved Shuhua in the way she'd never loved Hoetaek. Shuhua always captured the attention of every person around her whenever she’d speak but the smile she wore that night did not reach her eyes , it was subtle but after knowing her for over a decade Soojin could detect any change in her mood.

Yeh Shuhua was her best friend, or better said, she's still her best friend, no one knew Soojin like Shuhua and vice versa, but after she left the group they ended up distancing themselves, Soojin needed to reinvent herself and prioritize her mental health
