Shuhua sighed as she watched her mate and her friends unload some boxes from the moving truck, she and Soojin had bought their first home together and they were moving in.

-Baobei, everything is alright?

Soojin asked and Shuhua smiled at her and took one of the boxes from her hands.

-Everything is perfect

They spent the rest of the morning carrying the boxes, neither of them owned a lot of stuff as they had been living in the dorms since moving out of their parents' house, but both Shuhua's and Soojin's parents had donated some old furniture to them and bought them new ones too

-I think this is the last box from the truck

Soyeon said as she wiped the sweat from her forehead

-Thank you, thank you all for the help

Soojin said with a big smile trying not to cry

-You helped us with our moves

-We are a family

-And Shuhua promised to pay for lunch

-HEY

Soojin chucked while watching Shuhua chasing Yuqi around the house

-Thai food?

Hours later they were sitting on the living room floor, Soyeon and the rest of the girls had left after lunch and now it was just the two of them.

-I can't believe it's actually ours

Shuhua said while watching the house

-Are you happy?

-I am and you?

Soojin sighed as she watched the house, the walls and floor were empty for now, there were only boxes waiting to be opened but after they unpacked everything the house would come to life and in a few years they would have little feet running around those same floors

-Me too

The next day they meet their neighbors, it was two young men with two small puppies who ran around Soojin's knees, fascinated with their new neighbor

-Planning on having puppies soon?

Chenle, one of her neighbors asked as he caressed his belly

-We just moved in, we want puppies but for now we will enjoy our life together

-I understand, I love my puppies obviously but it's tiring sometimes

Shuhua nodded as she watched Soojin playing with the puppies, she knew Soojin would be a great mother to their puppies but it's far too early to think about it, they would enjoy the honeymoon phase first

-Baobei, baobei come play with us

Soojin was beaming and Shuhua felt her heart beat faster as she went towards them.

Falling asleep tucked against Soojin's side each night and waking up beside her is nothing new to Shuhua, they had been dating for years and spent all their heats and ruts together but waking up every day next to her mate in their own house was indescribable

They never get around to dividing the chores but as Soojin worked late it was normal for Shuhua to take care of dinner since she got home first, she cooked while Soojin took care of the cleaning, Shuhua was messy and she had to count to ten so as not to fight with her every time she came home and the kitchen was a mess because Shuhua had decided to make a new recipe. Despite having some disagreements they fall into a rhythm easily, they decided to do a housewarming party a couple of weeks after they've moved in, which was one of their first fights since they moved in, Mr Seo had never hidden his disappointment that Soojin had become a dancer instead of a lawyer like him so when they decided to have a party and invite their parents Shuhua lost her mind trying make everything perfect so that her father-in-law wouldn't criticize them, she got very stressed and ended up taking it out on Soojin, insults were exchanged, doors were slammed but at the end of the night they sat and talked, apologies were exchanged and peace was restored, they didn't want to make the same mistakes as their parents
