A piercing cry startled Shuhua in the middle of the night, she probably slept only a few minutes but got up as fast as possible, Soojin was still sleeping and she didn't want Hyeon to wake her, he was sick, waking up crying, feverish and Soojin had spent the day with him trying to comfort him, they took him to the doctor who prescribed the medicines for him but nothing seemed to help him sleep, only after a lot of talk Shuhua finally convinced Soojin to express milk so that Shuhua could feed him at dawn while she rested

Shuhua headed to the nursery approaching Hyeon's crib, gently rubbing his tummy

-Shhh, mommy is here Hyeon, calm down baby boy

But instead of calming him down Shuhua's presence only made Hyeon cry harder so she reached in and scooped him up, pulling him against her chest and slowly began to rock back and forth

-Hyeon you are burning up

She went to Hyeon's drawer and took his medication, with a little difficulty she managed to open the bottle of medicine pouring into the dispenser, Hyeon did not stop quiet in her arms and some of the medicine ended up getting his clothes dirty but Shuhua managed to make him take the medicine, he was still very hot so she decided to lower his body temperature, she went to the bathroom and filled the tub with warm water, she put Hyeon in his bath tub ring seat, which made him cry even more, while taking off her pajamas quickly, she straightened up in the bathtub and brought the baby up to her torso playing the water on his back helping him relax.

Hyeon had quieted down to mostly a whimper as Shuhua hummed a nursery rhyme he liked, they stayed for almost half an hour in the bathtub waiting for the medicine to kick in, despite tiredness and worry Shuhua loved these moments with Hyeon, throughout Soojin's pregnancy she had feared she would not be able to connect with him as much as her wife, but since Soojin gave birth they had a special connection, she made sure to have a "mommy and me " time whenever she came home from work, so Soojin rested while she and Hyeon had fun together
