The first time Shuhua saw her it's on the stage. Her teacher insisted that it would be a great idea for her to accept a internship at Seoul Arts Center, her husband was KNO´ director of finance and they were always in need of staff. This wasn’t what Shuhua had imagined herself doing when she entered the Business Administration program but they paid well and she liked music, so why not? 

Shuhua’s first day was mostly dedicated to orientation and getting settled into their first month assignments and she tries to not be intimidated as she navigates through KNO. Shuhua had received a map but the place was huge and she had gotten lost several times and that night was no different, she entered through a door and gasped as soon as she saw the stunning theater 

-What the 

She barelly got a chance to admire the beautiful theatre interior cause someone made her way on stage, she was young, tall and slim, a ballerina wearing a long nightdress, with billowing sleeves carrying  something in her hand.  

-Who is she? 

The dancer was standing absolutely still, with her face lowered and even with the long dress Shuhua could admire her body, her muscles really stood out and her legs went on for days

-Is she 

And then the ballerina moved, making Shuhua gasp aloud cause she was almost flying through the stage, her body turning and floating in ways that Shuhua never imagined, her dance was breathtaking, she had beautiful pose and precision, and her movements flowed beautifully. 

-Beautiful right? 

Shuhua almost screamed when she noticed that another girl stood beside her, short blonde hair girl wearing loose cargo shorts and an oversized tie die shirt 

-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you 

-I entered the wrong door, please don't tell my boss I really need this job

The girl smiled

-Don't worry, I won't say anything to anyone, especially that you were checking out Soojin ssi 

Shuhua turned extremely red, chuckling awkwardly 

-No,me ? No way

-You are cute, my name is Son Chaeyoung and I work for one of the producers, we are producing La Sonnambula for the spooky week

-La Solamula? 

Chaeyoung let out a good laugh at the confused expression on Shuhua's face

-You really don't understand anything about ballet, do you? What are you doing here? 

-I work in the administrative part 

-Makes sense 

Chaeyoung pointed to the dancer on the stage 

-Seo Soojin ssi is playing the sleepwalker, the steps may seem strange but it's because her partner left already

-Her dance is so elegant and graceful 

Chaeyoung nodded 

-Mina unnie is my favorite ballerina but Soojin is really good too 

Chaeyoung continued talking but Shuhua could only pay attention to Soojin, her moves were like a gravitational pull, every bit as graceful and alluring as the lovely white apparition she plays, Shuhua didn’t know how long she watched her, how long she was truly captivated by the ballerina,  Soojin is full of fluid movements, she whirls through the air as if gravity held no power over her even with her eyes closed 

As them, the ballerina’s eyes snapped open.  

For a moment, Shuhua is frozen, the depth of Soojin's eyes glows like a black hole, looking as deep as the ocean. Chaeyoung coughs and Shuhua realizes that she's been staring openly and feels mortified when Chaeyoung´s lips tilt up into a smirk 

-You got it bad

Shuhua probably shouldn't be watching the rehearsal, she should probably be sleeping, the first exam of the season is in a few hours but she had to see Soojin again. After that night Shuhua avoided going to the theater as much as possible, she befriended Soyeon, another assistant, during a Ghibli Music festival, they bonded over anime and mangas. Soyeon introduced Shuhua to Yuqi, her girlfriend who played guitar in a band and their friends Miyeon and Minnie. Thanks to Soyeon's presence at the Seoul Arts Center Shuhua managed to avoid Soojin for two weeks but her curiosity won and she went back to watching the rehearsals in secret, sometimes with Chaeyoung, sometimes alone.The first thing she noticed was that Soojin's routine was strict, she would rehearse until dawn if she could, she only stopped when the cleaning team needed to occupy the stage. Chaeyoung had explained that it was spook week and several ballet companies would perform, La Sonnambula was Soojin´s first prominent role so that's why she was so committed to making a perfect presentation. The second thing Shuhua noticed was that she lived on cereal bars and water, she didn't take a break to have a snack like the other dancers, she ate a quick energy bar, drank water, stretched and went back to dancing. 

-I make a bento box for Mina unnie every day

Shuhua looked at her in surprise

-Really?

-She forgets to eat when she's focused on her dance, so I make sure she always has something to eat.

Chaeyoung said with a slight blush on her face

-You really likes her huh
