After Yuqi discovered that Shuhua was her sire, the alpha became a fixture in Soojin's household, Shuhua and Yuqi bonded over animals and every time alpha was on call she would video call Yuqi to show her patients. With Shuhua and Soojin things progressed more slowly, the alpha tried to respect Soojin's boundaries regarding Yuqi but she wanted to participate more actively in Yuqi´s life, they had some arguments over the weeks but in the end they found a middle ground based on Yuqi's best interest, legally Yuqi only belonged to Soojin but she started to share some tasks with Shuhua, the vet had more flexible hours than Soojin so she started picking up Yuqi from school and took care of her whenever Soojin needed.

Soojin would never forget the first time she and Shuhua took Yuqi to school together, Yuqi took Soojin’s hand in her left before grabbing a hold of Shuhua’s hand with her right as they walked towards the school gate, Soojin could feel the eyes of the other parents on them but she didn't care, Yuqi was vibrating with happiness and that was what mattered. As soon as they arrived at the gate Yuqi gave Soojin a hug and a kiss goodbye before turning to Shuhua who had crouched down too

-Thank you for coming

Yuqi said as she wrapped her small arms around the alpha’s neck

-It’s my pleasure

-Bye eomma bye...mama

Yuqi said and ran towards the school leaving her mothers with shocked expressions.

-Did she?

-I think so

Shuhua looked at Soojin with fear in her eyes.

-I swear I didn't ask her to call me that, I would never ask that without talking to you first.

Soojin smiled at Shuhua

-It's okay Shuhua, you're her mother too

Shuhua bit her lip apprehensively

-Are you sure you don't mind?

-If it was at the beginning of our relationship I would have been jealous but you're a great mother Shuhua, I don't mind Yuqi calling you mama, that's what you are

Shuhua hugged her and Soojin felt her wolf vibrate

-There is nothing I won’t do for her or you Soojin

They stared at each other for a few moments and Soojin felt her face turn red so she looked away and Shuhua cleared

-We better go

Having Shuhua to help with Yuqi was great but that didn't stop Soojin from getting stressed out with work, her firm was working on a big case and she barely had time to breathe or be with Yuqi so Shuhua started to take care of her more often, even spending the night at their house. With all the stress caused by this big case, Soojin ended up neglecting another aspect of her life, her heats were always regular and with continued use of the suppressors Soojin was able to handle it very well but this time she had forgotten to take her pills and Shuhua's presence only accentuated her heat. At first Shuhua thought Soojin was acting weird because of work but as the night progressed the scent of vanilla got stronger, making her whole body react, her nostrils flaring as she took in Soojin’s scent, the omega was sweating profusely and her pupils were dilated

-Soojin

-Hmm?

-I think you are going into heat

Soojin widened her eyes

-It's impossible, I took my suppressors

Soojin replied as she got up from the table and went towards her purse to look for her pills

-Your smell is...

Soojin groaned as soon as she finished counting her pill pack

-I forgot to take my suppressants

Shuhua took a deep breath

-And... and what do you usually do? Do you have someone to spend your heat with?

Soojin widened her eyes

-Of course not, I take suppressants, they always worked

Soojin groaned, the intensity pressured her body, her mind was becaming foggy

Shuhua stared at the door for a few more moments and then she took off her jacket and hung it on the doorknob.

Shuhua her daughter's hair, she also missed Soojin, she and Yuqi had gotten along well during those two days but she understood how much Yuqi missed her eomma, Soojin had sent a few messages and Shuhua knew she was fine but she couldn't wait to see her again

-How about another game of Mario cart?

-We can go to the mall later and buy your eomma a gift, what do you think?

Yuqi looked up at the alpha with a bright smile on her face
