Shuhua was feeling tired, her lungs didn't feel right, it was so hard to force air into them and her body hurt everywhere. She couldn't almost hear Soojin calling her name, asking to open her eyes, repeating the same mantra: "don't give up". She saw her parents in her sleep, and she missed them. She wanted to be in her parent's arms, but they only smiled at her from afar. It came to a point it didn't hurt anymore.

As the darkness rolled in, Shuhua’s last clear thought was Soojin smiling at her in the garden as the sun was going down.

She woke up confused, noticing she was in her bed, warm blankets around her and two puppies sleeping on her feet..

- S... Soojin…?

Soojin stormed inside the bedroom, dark eyes full of relief but with a bit of fear and a dejected face.

- You are finally awake.

-  W...what happened to me?

- Do you remember that lady that attacked us?

- The vampire…

Soojin finally broke into tears and sat on the chair beside Shuhua's bed, holding her hand.

- I thought you would die Shu! The girls helped me bring you home, we're lucky that Miyeon knows somethings about first aid and helped me taking care of you.

- Is... is everyone alright?

- Yes, they are… thanks to you.

- I'm so sorry… if it wasn't for me…

It's not your fault Shu.

Soojin interrupted her, she was waiting for the time Shuhua would blame herself for what happened and it hurt anyways.

- Yes it is, you almost died because of me.

- Please, don't to that to yourself, I'm forbid you from doing that, understand? We're fine and I'm here with you. You saved us and I'm not going anywhere.

Soojin placed a hand on Shuhua's cheek and that touch was so gentle and warm it made Shuhua whimper.  She sensed relief and safety that follows to the heart.

The bed sunk under Soojin's weight as she laid down next to Shuhua, reaching out and brushing her fingers across her cheeks and hair.

- Thank you, Jinjin. I owe you more than I can even imagine...

Soojin kissed Shuhua's cheek, her expression gentle, dark eyes soft and full of love, she knew they would be alright.
