Minnie and Miyeon hadn't told anyone about Soyeon and her sister, their parents knew that they were trying to adopt and despite being apprehensive, they were all supportive. Mrs Jung scheduled a visit to the house where Soyeon and Shuhua were living and the two were surprised when they saw Soyeon watching them through the window.

-Good afternoon, you must be Mrs Yontararak and Cho right?

-Good afternoon Mrs Park

They immediately noticed when a shy Soyeon approached the door under the watchful eye of her foster parents

-Soyeon ssi, I don't know if you remember us or not, we meet at the fair? I'm Minnie and this is my wife Miyeon

Soyeon bowed

-Good afternoon, Shuhua is playing in the back, would you like to meet her?

-We would love to

Minnie couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with the way the foster parents followed them like vultures. They walked out to the back of the house where Shuhua was playing with a ball

-SHUHUA

Minnie and Miyeon couldn't help but notice that the girl instantly stiffened and her eyes widened.

-I didn't do nothing, I promise

Mr Park gave a mirthless laugh.

-Shuhua,  you have a visitor

Shuhua ran to them and Miyeon opened a huge smile, despite the worn and sewn clothes she was a beautiful girl

-Good afternoon

Shuhua looked at Soyeon for a few seconds and as soon as her sister shook her head she bowed to them, Minnie and Miyeon crouched down to her height.

-It's a pleasure to meet you Shuhua

-Are you going to take us home?

-My wife and I met your sister at the foster care fair, and we wanted to get to know you two a little more. Is that okay with you?

Soyeon shook her head and Shuhua immediately smiled at them.

-There's a bird's nest in the tree, would you like to see them?

-Sure

Miyeon and Minnie spent the rest of the afternoon with the two sisters, Soyeon was quieter but Shuhua spoke for both of them, despite some pronunciation problems the youngest of the sisters was very intelligent and talkative, when they left the house they didn't 't know what to feel, they were two lovely kids but two kids was a lot of responsibility.

In the end it took two days, a bowl of ice cream and a Disney movie marathon for them to decide to bring the two girls home.

After a conversation with Mrs. Jung and the signing of some papers, the two sisters came home with them, both Shuhua and Soyeon looked delighted at the decoration of the house.

-It's so big

-And so clean

-Would you like to see your rooms?

Shuhua immediately looked at Soyeon

-Do we have our own rooms?

-Sure, want to see it?

They showed the sisters their rooms and they had never seen smiles so big before.

-Is so beautiful

Shuhua said as Soyeon watched everything without saying anything

-Well, later we can go shopping and decorate the room the way you want.

Soyeon shrugged her shoulders but Shuhua flashed a huge smile

-Maybe some puppies stickers?

Minnie cracked a smile

-Sure, I love animals too

The rest of the night went surprisingly well, both girls were well behaved and dined without complaint however when the two women woke up the next day they found Shuhua asleep in Soyeon's bed

-She had a nightmare

Soyeon said as soon as she noticed the foster moms standing at the door

-That's normal, it's a big change

Soyeon just her sister's hair

-How about we have breakfast? Is there anything you would like to eat?

-We eat anything

-Yeonnie?

Shuhua started to wake up and hugged her sister

-Good morning Shu

-Where are we?

-In the new foster house, remember?

Shuhua looked confused at her sister for a few seconds but then smiled when she saw the two women standing in the doorway.

-Good morning

-Did you sleep well Shuhua?

Shuhua nodded but remained lying down.

-How about we have breakfast?

-We have a long day ahead

Soyeon looked at them suspiciously

-We have?

-You need new clothes and  school supplies

-We are going to school?

-You weren't going to school?

Shuhua looked at Soyeon not knowing what to say

-We never stayed long in a school

And that's how after breakfast the four went shopping at the mal, they went through several stores choosing clothes, shoes and school supplie
