Soojin remembers the first time she saw Shuhua, the Taiwanese had entered her high school and she had been tasked with showing her the building, although Shuhua had a certain difficulty in the language they got along very well from the first moment they started talking, Shuhua gave her a calm that Soojin couldn't explain, they just ... fit together and soon they became best friends, they were always together, talking, dancing, even though Shuhua was a year younger they understood each other very well, It took Soojin a long time to realize she was in love with her best friend and when she realized it was too late, Shuhua was completely in love with Miyeon, Miyeon was Shuhua´s classmate and she was a very funny person and Soojin would have liked her more though if she didn't date Shuhua

Soojin little by little ceased to have hope, she got used to the fact that Shuhua don’t feel the same way, Shuhua was happy with Miyeon so Soojin would never tell her about her feelings, she knew Shuhua and knew that she would feel bad for not reciprocating her feelings so Soojin decided to focus her attention on the fact that her 18th birthday was coming up and on that day the name of her soulmate would appear on her body, she would finally know her soulmate´s name and would focus her attention on finding that person and get over Shuhua, that was her plan

Unfortunately fate seemed to want to play with Soojin's feelings because on her birthday the name Yeh Shuhua appeared on her forearm, Shuhua was her soulmate, Shuhua, her best friend, Shuhua who is extremely in love with her girlfriend Miyeon, Soojin that day decided not to go to school, she couldn't face Shuhua knowing she was her soulmate but couldn't be hers.

Soojin was not surprised when Shuhua showed up at her house with chicken soup for her "flu" and a cake to celebrate her birthday, it was their tradition, Shuhua filled her with kisses and hugs and Soojin had to hold herself back from crying when the peach smell invaded her nostril. A few hours later they were lying in Soojin's bed, cuddling watching dramas when Shuhua asked the name that had appeared on her body, Soojin hated lying to Shuhua but she had no way out so she invented a name, she realized that Shuhua became tense and quiet for a moment but then she smiled and told her that she was happy for Soojin

Shuhua's name on her skin seemed like a torture, it was hard enough love her before but now that she knew the truth ...Soojin stopped hanging out with her friends, she gave the excuse to focus on her taekwondo training, she also started to decline invitations to go out with Shuhua, she gave the excuse of training harder to become professional, it broke her heart to say no to Shuhua but she didn't know how to deal with her feelings for her anymore, she couldn't help but feel like a part of her heart was missing, what she didn’t know is that someone felt that way too

Soojin's distance and coldness were making Shuhua depressed, from the first moment she met the oldest Shuhua had felt something she couldn't explain, she loved Miyeon, she knew it, but she missed Soojin as if a piece of her heart had been ripped off, she missed falling asleep in her arms, dance and cook together in the Seo House, hear her laugh, just talk to her, Soojin's absence had even become a reason for her fights with Miyeon, her girlfriend just couldn't understand why she was so bothered by the fact that Soojin was busy and only talked about the fighter when they were together.

Gradually Soojin started to hang out with them again but Shuhua knew something wasn't right, she could see the pain in her eyes  and Shuhua didn't know how to help her, because every time she tried to talk to Soojin she got defensive about it, they also received a new colleague in the group, Nicha, who would rather be called Minnie, she was the same age as Miyeon and Shuhua and quickly became Miyeon's best friend.Contrary to what many thought Shuhua didn´t mind the proximity of the two, in fact she felt envy, longing, because they reminded her of how she and Soojin used to be, she was still trying to get closer to Soojin again, she went to all of her Taekwondo tournaments, they went out from time to time together but she felt a kind of invisible barrier between them,something was diferent and she didn't know what to do to fix it

It was in one of Soojin's tournaments that the truth was revealed, Shuhua, Miyeon and Minnie were in the stands cheering for her, Soojin had reached the end of the tournament and was about to become a champion if her opponent had not done an illegal maneuver and fractured her forearm, Soojin had never felt so much pain in her life, her trainer who was also her father took her to the medical tent and if it weren't for the immense pain she felt she would have noticed the presence of Shuhua and her friends and would have prevented them from seeing her forearm
