-My sister is sleeping investigator, but I'll call her, come with me please

Shuhua followed Soojin and they entered through the kitchen of the house and Soojin asked her to wait in the living room while she called Soyeon, she went up the stairs and went to her sister´s bedroom

-GET UP

-I'm going to the store, don't worry general

-Soyeon get up right now, there's an investigator downstairs looking for you, she is asking about Dahee

Soyeon looked scared

-DAHEE?!

-Yes, Dahee! So get up, fast

Soyeon and Soojin walked down the stairs and Soojin can't help but appreciate how strong the investigator seemed, her jacket was very tight and she could see the muscles in her arms as she moved.

-Miss Seo, my name is Yeh Shuhua and I have some questions regarding Lee Dahee

Soyeon explained how Dahee had stolen her money, her father's watch and that she hadn't seen her ex since she came home. While Soyeon told her story Soojin couldn't help noticing that the investigator had heterochromia

-Is something wrong Miss Soojin?

Soojin noticed that the investigator and Soyeon were looking at her

-Huh?

-You were staring at me

Shuhua blushed and Soojin too

-I just noticed... your eyes

-They have two colors, I know, I'm adopted so I don't know much about my biological family but the blue eye must have come from some foreigner

-Sure

Shuhua asked Soyeon some more questions and she looked satisfied with her story

-How did you find me, investigator?

Shuhua reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a postcard that Soojin recognized right away.

-I sent this postcard to my sister, this was our parents' favorite beach

-I looked for this beach and ended up arriving at this town, apparently everyone knows Soyeon so it wasn't hard to find you two

Soyeon snorted

-I imagine what they must have said to you ma´am

-Miss actually, I'm not married or dating anyone

Shuhua replied casually and Soyeon couldn't help noticing that she didn't take her eyes off Soojin

-Well Miss Seo, it was a pleasure to meet you

-Are you leaving already?

Soojin couldn't help but ask and the investigator looked at her with a smile on her face

-The investigation is not over yet, there are signs that Miss Dahee was after Miss Soyeon so I'll stay here a few more days, maybe she will show up

-Sure

-Have a nice day investigator

Shuhua walked out the door and Soojin looked at Soyeon

-What we gonna do now?

Soojin tried to distract herself with the smelly flowers in her garden but the investigator didn't leave her mind, she had something that caught Soojin's attention and she didn't know what it was. She was just finishing packing some boxes when Shuhua showed up at the store

-Investigadora Yeh, what a surprise

Shuhua walked around the shop looking at the shelves

-Are you looking for something?

-Mrs. Choi, the owner of pension where I'm staying, told me that you have wonderful hair care products and I should try them.

-The old Choi indicated my shop?

Soojin looked at her in surprise, Mrs. Choi was one of the townspeople who hated her family, Soojin approached Shuhua and could smell the faint scent of peaches in the investigator

-Peaches?

Soojin muttered and Shuhua looked at her

-What did you say Miss Seo?

-You smell like peaches

Shuhua smiled at her

-The nuns at the orphanage where I lived called me peach, they always said I smelled like peaches but I honestly never understood why

-You smell very good

Shuhua gave her a big smile

-Thank you Miss Seo, you also smell very good... vanilla isn't it?

Soojin nodded and started to indicate Shuhua some skin and hair care products and she couldn't help blushing at the investigator's intense look at her, they talked small talk while she rang up her purchase and suddenly Soojin remembered why Shuhua was in town

-Is Soyeon in trouble?

Shuhua looked at her

- Why would she be in trouble?

-Well, you're still here

-The car Miss Lee Dahee rented was in the parking lot of the ferry that brings people to this Island but no one has seen her in this town so far, it's like she disappeared into thin air, as long as Soyeon was telling the truth she's not in trouble... do you know something you're not telling me? Are you and your sister hiding Lee Dahee? Because she is wanted in several states for financial scams and I would hate to know you are her cronies

Shuhua looked serious and crossed her arms

-NO! I DON´T KNOW ANYTHING ! PLEASE BELIEVE IN ME

Soojin looked at her desperately and Shuhua sighed

- I picked Soyeon from that hotel and we came back home, she hasn't contacted Dahee since then, you can check the ferry records and airlines

Shuhua looked at her for a moment as if analyzing her and sighed, she took out a business card and handed it to Soojin

-This is my phone number, if Dahee gets in touch with you, don't hesitate to call me

Soojin looked at the card and couldn't help noticing that there was a star on it.

-A star?

Shuhua opened her jacket and showed a star-shaped badge and Soojin noticed that she had a star hanging around her neck too

-When I was a kid I spent hours watching cowboy movies, I was sure I would be a wild west sheriff and save the ladies in danger, I used to draw stars on my shirts pretending it was a badge, the nuns would ground me whenever they saw it

Soojin can't help but smile as she imagines a little Shuhua

-I grew up and didn't become a sheriff in the wild west but I became an investigator and bought a cowboy badge to match my look, I ended up getting used to always having things with stars on them

Shuhua showed her look to Soojin

-You liked it?

-I've never seen a cowboy in a jacket and dress shirt

-Hey, green is my lucky color, alright? And I look y in formal clothes

Soojin ran her eyes over Shuhua's body and had to agree with the investigator

-I have to go Miss Seo, but if you know anything call me

 Shuhua said goodbye to her and left the shop, Soojin couldn't help but sigh at the smell of peaches that remained in the air

It was night and Soojin and Soyeon were researching in the books a way to get rid of the plants, the smell was unbearable

-Well, if the investigator is telling the truth, she only has traces of Dahee to the ferry, that's all

-Shuhua looks determined So, she won't give up that easy

-Shuhua? Are you two intimate like this already?

-Stop it

- We have to make her trust us, but how?

They thought for a while

-How about invite her to lunch tomorrow with us?

-HERE?! With those stinky flowers?

- We need to gain her trust and convince her that Dahee is far away from here and we have the house for ourselves since the aunts left for this early summer solstice celebration

-You're right, but how are we going to invite her to lunch tomorrow?

-I have her cell number

Soyeon smirked and Soojin punched her arm

-It's no big deal, I'm just trying to get her friendship

-Just friendship?

Soojin texted Shuhua who responded instantly

-She accepted the invitation

-As if she would deny you something Jinnie

When Shuhua arrived at the Seo residence the next day, lunch was almost ready

-I hope you don't mind, I brought a chocolate mousse

-Chocolate mousse?

Soojin's eyes sparkled and Shuhua looked at her embarrassed

-I made it and I hope you like it

-You did? How ?

-Mrs. Choi lent me her kitchen

Soyeon looked confused at her sister

-Since when the old Choi is nice?

-Apparently Investigator Yeh won her over with her charm

Soojin teases,  Shuhua smirked while Soyeon laughed while she went to dispense to get something

-Please call me Shuhua, investigator Yeh is very formal, now, can I help you with something?

Soojin couldn't help but notice Shuhua's biceps, she was wearing a short sleeeve white button-down shirt

-Everything is ready, if you want you can take the dishes to the table

Shuhua nodded, she was taking the bowls carefully and didn't notice that Soyeon was coming in the same direction carrying a plate full of kimchi and they ended up bumping into each other dropping the food on themselves

-Oh crap. I’m so sorry!

Shuhua looked up from her now ruined white shirt to Soyeon

-I'm the one who should apologize, I was walking with my head down and I didn't realize you were approaching

-Your shirt

-I shouldn't have chosen a white shirt for lunch

Soojin approached her worried

-Let me help you try and clean it up, or get you another shirt

Soojin pulled Shuhua by the hand and dragged her towards her bedroom

-I'm sorry about that, Soyeon should pay more attention

-Don't worry Soojin, we were both distracted

  Shuhua smiled reassuringly at Soojin as she removed her shirt so she could clean the kimchi stain

-Damn

Soojin stared at Shuhua's defined abdomen in awe.

-I work out a little

-I can see that

-See something you like?

Shuhua smirked while she did some bodybuilding pose for fun and that's when Soojin noticed something on her back

-Do you have a tattoo on your back?

Shuhua looked at her left shoulder

-No, it's a birthmark I have, it looks like a paw and my gym buddies call me wolfie because of it

Soojin approached her and caressed the birthmark, it really looked like a paw "the enchantment"

-What  is the matter Soojin?

Soojin shook her head

-It's nothing, please wear this blouse while I try to get that stain off your shirt

The two went back to the kitchen and Soyeon apologized again, Shuhua said there was no reason to apologize and they sat down for lunch, they started to eat and Shuhu began to ask some questions, Soyeon told her how she met Dahee and the lies that she had told her, for a long time Soyeon believed that she worked in a multinational company and that's why she traveled so much, it was only after seeing a sketch of Dahee on the news that she began to understand the situation and them the fights between them became more frequent and more aggressive, she explained how Soojin dropped up in that crap motel and how they returned to the island together without saying goodbye to Dahee, throughout the conversation Soojin remained silent which did not go unnoticed by Soyeon, just as Shuhua was done with her questions, Soojin dropped her fork
