Yeh Daiyu was old enough to know that her life was different from the other kids in her class, most of them had a father and a mother, Donghae had two fathers and she... well she had her mama, she knew she had a father but he left when she was still in her mama´s tummy and since then it was her and her mama. Sometimes her mama would get all dressed up and she would stay with her aunts Yuqi and Soyeon, but her mama always came back looking tired and dejected, once Daiyu heard her aunt Soyeon asking what had happened and her mama just replied "Apparently I have a lot of baggage" she didn't know what baggage her mama carried but she really wanted her to have someone like aunt Yuqi had aunt Soyeon or waigong had waipo. For a long time Daiyu's mama didn't go out at night, they would spent the evenings cooking or watching movies, but one day her mama said she would spend a few hours with her aunts because she had an appointment, Daiyu didn't complain because she loved to spend a few hours with her aunts, they held video game championships and aunt Yuqi swore more than a sailor so she always gave her money not to tell her mama what she had heard, what Daiyu didn't expect was that her mama would come back smiling from her appointment, she arrived with a flower in her hair and spent a long time talking quietly with her aunts, it was at that moment that Daiyu felt that something big was going to happen.

Daiyu's mama started to have more commitments at night but she didn't mind, she loved spending time with her aunts, Daiyu's mama was also more cheerful and spent a lot of time on her cell phone, Daiyu didn't understand what was happening but she was happy to see her mama smiling like that.

It was on a Friday that Daiyu found out why her mama went out so much, her mama had picked her up from school and seemed nervous about something, she just didn't know what was, as soon as they got home Daiyu went to play in her bedroom while her mama went to the kitchen, Daiyu was playing when her mama appeared at her bedroom door

-DaDa

-Yes mama?

-It's time for your bath, and please, put on that dress that waipó gave you

-Why? Are we going somewhere?

Daiyu could see that her mama was nervous

-We will have company for dinner

-The aunts? My grandparents?

-No, a special person I want to introduce you to

Daiyu noticed that her mama looked worried.

-Do you have a new boyfriend mama?

-Actually she's a friend, and I hope you like her

-Ok

-So go take your shower ok? And when you're done I'll fix your hair

Daiyu took her shower, put on her new dress and went after her mama, she was in her bedroom getting ready too and Daiyu couldn't help noticing that she was wearing a new blouse, her favorite jeans and the slightest hint of make-up, she looked pretty

-Daiyu, do you want your hair in a braid or curly?

-Braided mama

Daiyu's mama fixed her daughter's hair carefully and when she finished Daiyu went to her bedroom to play while her mama's friend didn't arrive. Daiyu played for a while but soon she could hear the doorbell ring and her mama talking to someone, she couldn't wait to see who this new friend was.

-Daiyu

Daiyu's mama called her and she left her bedroom running towards the living room and as soon as she arrived there she came across a tall woman with long red hair that matched her lipstick and was looking at her nervously.

-Daiyu, this is my friend Soojin

Daiyu looked at the stranger and bowed

-Hello, my name is Yeh Daiyu

The woman lowered down to crouch in front of Daiyu smiling at her

-Hello Daiyu, my name is Seo Soojin and I've heard a lot about you

The stranger had a nice vanilla scent and was biting her lip nervously, Daiyu looked at her mama and could see she was smiling as she watched them

-Your dress is very beautiful

-Thank you, I liked yours too

-You liked? Thank you Daiyu

-Jin ah, you arrived just in time, dinner is ready

-I imagined, I smelled the dinner outside, it smells wonderful

-So, let's have dinner

The three went to the table and Daiyu's mama served her under the watchful eye of Soojin who was waiting to serve herself too, they started to eat , the table went silent but Daiyu noticed that Soojin and her mama were looking at each other in a different way, they exchanged shy glances and smiles, there was something familiar about their interaction that she didn't know what it was, Daiyu's mama commented on her day and Soojin asked Daiyu some questions about school, Daiyu was a little shy at first but as they talked she felt more at ease with Soojin, apparently she was a dance teacher, an ex-taekwondo fighter and had two dogs that she promised to bring at the next dinner, she also made her mama laugh and praised her whenever she could, the same way Aunt Soyeon did with Aunt Yuqi

-Are you mama´s girlfriend?

The two women stopped eating and looked at each other in surprise for a moment and then both turned their gazes to Daiyu

-Yes, Daiyu, Soojin is my girlfriend. Are you ok with that?

-Like aunt Yuqi and aunt Soyeon ?
