Soojin often reflects on the moment she meet Shuhua, as one of the founders of Neverland, a mid-sized app and game developer, she always made a point of chatting with the new interns, she gave them a pep talk, talking about the type of work she expects the interns to do, how Neverland works and during the meeting she can't help but notice the cute girl with a Totoro notebook taking notes of everything she says with beautiful brown eyes that carefully studied her, damn who is she?

When Soojin and Soyeon, her best friend and business partner, started Neverland the focus was on mobile games for smartphones and tablets but as the company grew they started to invest more in video games, consoles, Soyeon was more introverted so Soojin ended up interacting more with their employees, Neverland was still a mid-sized company and didn't have many employees so Soojin made a point of talking to everyone, interns included, offering feedback of her own, getting to know them as more than just her subordinates and that's how she approached Yeh Shuhua, the cute intern with the Totoro notebook

Shuhua is a real genius, she is the one to always figure out what’s the problem before anyone else, numbers are her friends and she knows that, she and another intern called Yuqi became the dynamic duo and it was no surprise to anyone that after completing their internship both were full-time hired full-time. Most of the times Soojin had to work directly with Shuhua, she is cute,passionate with her work and on more than a few occasions Soojin found her so embroiled in her work that she forgot to eat or even go home

In the end the two of them having dinner together becomes a routine, sometimes Soyeon and Yuqi had dinner with them but most of the time it was just the two of them, that's when they would talk a little bit about everything and with all this time spent together, her feelings for Shuhua started to grow subtly and go from a silly crush for love and  deep inside she knew their feelings were mutual, they had shared years of stolen glances, shy smiles and even gave each other small gifts when they were alone, they remained professional for the most part, but the unspoken feelings were always there, ready to burst anytime

It took 3 years for Soojin to finally take action, in fact it was after an awkward conversation with Soyeon that she decided to go after Shuhua, she had caught Yuqi sitting on Soyeon's lap late at night and after a soju bottle and an awkward conversation both confessed their feelings for their developers, Soyeon encouraged Soojin to confess to Shuhua because according to Yuqi Shuhua liked her since her internship days, with the knowledge that they could be more Soojin took a taxi and went to Shuhua's apartment
