Mr and Ms Seo were extremely upset with Soojin when she told her what had been attacked in the forest, while Ms Seo was cleaning her wounds Mr Seo asked details of the attack

-So, did the werewolf that attacked you revert to human form?

Yejin asked from the bedroom door

-Why would he turn human?

-I don't know, in all werewolf movies they revert back to human form when they die...isn't he dead?

Mr and Mrs Seo looked at each other worriedly

-He didn't bite you, did he?

-He didn't appa, it was only his claws that hurt me

-Very well but make sure your wounds are cleaned

-Alright

Mr Seo kissed Soojin's head

-I'm glad you're okay.

In the following days Soojin made a point of reading all the editions of the newspaper and watching the news on TV but nothing was reported, life had returned to normal but she hadn't been able to stop thinking about the wolf, why had he saved her? Who was he? She had to know, she went back to the woods this time armed with a knife, she was sure that wolf wouldn't attack her but there could be others... she made her way through the trees, looking for any sign of the wolf, she walked a long way path until she found her water bottle that she had dropped when she was running away, she was in the right place, she decided to head towards the stream and when she got close she saw a figure near the water

-Hello?

Soojin said as she walked to the stream, as she approached the water she could see that the figure was a woman with black hair tied in a bun and the uniform she wore told Soojin who she could be

-Yeh Shuhua?

Yeh Shuhua stared at Soojin and she felt her heart race, the years had done Shuhua a lot of good, despite not being much taller than Soojin she had a well-defined body, the police department uniform showed the muscles in her arms but what caught Soojin's attention the most was a long scar down her left arm which immediately reminded her of the wound in the wolf's leg

-It was you!

Shuhua looked at her with a confused expression.

-What?

-You were the one who saved me that night.

-I don't know what you're talking about Seo Soojin

Shuhua said and started to leave but before she could walk away Soojin grabbed her arm.

-I was attacked last week by a wolf, I was supposed to be dead by now but another wolf came and saved me

-You were probably dreaming Soojin ssi, what have you been reading lately? Twilight?

Soojin lifted the sleeve of her shirt and showed the bruises on her arm.

-I wasn´t dreaming and you know it Shuhua ssi, I was hurt the night of the attack and I'm sure you were hurt too… tell me, how did you hurt your arm? The wound is healed but I'm sure it has to do with your genes

Shuhua took a deep breath

-I got injured while working

Soojin scoffed, rolling her eyes

-Shuhua ssi, I know it was you that night

Shuhua looked at her with a serious face.

-You shouldn't walk alone through the woods Soojin ssi , there are very dangerous creatures inside it

-I know that, but I also know that you and your family make sure they don't attack us... right?

Shuhua sighed

-Stay away from the woods, alright?

-The wolf...is he dead? Is it safe now?

Soojin asks with a certain fear in her voice and Shuhua growls louder, a deep chiling noise Soojin is certain she’s never heard from her before while noticing the irises of Shuhua’s eyes have turned from a warm brown to gold

-I took care of him, you don't have to be afraid of him anymore Soojin ssi

Soojin watched her, unmoving and silent for a moment then she gave her a shy smile

-You fought off another werewolf for me, thank you

-I di…

Before Shuhua denied Soojin aproached and placed a kiss on her cheek, causing Shuhua to turn extremely red.

-I...I ...

Soojin giggled

-You are just a big puppy, aren't you?

-SOOJIN

Soojin just walked away leaving a whining Shuhua

After a long night of patrolling the woods Shuhua shows up near the Seo´s house, walking around the perimeter to keep it safe, this was not common behavior for a Yeh and her siblings made fun of Shuhua when they found out where she was going after patrol, she comes from a long line of  werewolves, protector of the woods for decades but she couldn't help but assure that Soojin was safe, she liked the oldest Seo since the first moment she had seen her at school, at first she thought it was a child's curiosity but as the years went by her attraction towards Soojin had grown, she just never had the courage to talk to her until that day on the stream

 Soojin woke up scared again, even though she knew that Shuhua had taken care of the wolf she still had nightmares about him, she decided to make some hot tea to calm her down, she went to the kitchen silently and prepared her tea, when the tea was ready she decided to enjoy the view from the window of her kitchen, she was enjoying her tea when a flash of gold caught her eye, gone as fast as it came

-What the

When Soojin blinked her eyes again, she didn't see anything else hidden among the trees, she didn't know why but after that she felt safe somehow and smiling she went back to her bed

Shuhua sighed as she entered her house, she was sleepy and knew she should have gone home before patrolling Soojin's house but she couldn't help it.

-You never got up so early when you helped me with the planting

Shuhua looked to the side and smiled to see Yuqi awake

-Ugiiiiiiiiii

-Were you stalking your little girlfriend again?

-She's not my girlfriend

-But you wanted her to be

Shuhua shrugged her shoulders as her cousin finished getting ready.

-Do you want help with the harvest?

Yuqi scoffed
