Living alone in a different country was not an easy task for Shuhua, besides the language barrier there was still the financial issue, which is why she decided to work part-time in a convenience near her dorm, the lady who was doing the interviews didn't seem to care much about her broken Korean and hired her as a stocker, after all she didn’t have to talk to anyone just take the boxes from the grocery shipments and put the items on the shelves according to the sections and shelf tags. Shuhua just didn't expect to work with the most beautiful girl she had ever seen, she had long red hair that matched her lipstick, a spot under her eye and a shy smile that made Shuhua's heart beat faster, she waved to the girl but she gave a little smile back and quickly walked away, weird, maybe she was just shy. The days passed and Shuhua got used to the work, the convenience wasn´t so busy in the afternoon so she could study when she finished setting up the shelves, the only thing that bothered her was the red-haired girl, she just walks in and do her part of the stocking, never acknowledging Shuhua, first Shuhua thought she was shy but now she just looked rude

Shuhua didn't try to talk to the girl anymore, each one doing their job in a corner of the store, until one afternoon her manager told her to work off the boxes with Soojin, that was the name of the red-haired girl, since she needed help. Shuhua approached the shelf and Soojin gave her a small smile, Shuhua said she would help her with the boxes but the redhead continued to go through the shelf without answering '' did I do something that offended her? '' They worked in silence for a good part of the time until Shuhua decided to try again to talk to Soojin

No response, Soojin continue to check her list until she felt Shuhua watching her

Soojin seemed surprised by the question but answered in a low and slow way

Shuhua found it strange the way she responded but who was she to judge Soojin's way of talking

Soojin didn´t speak to Shuhua anymore and they worked in silence, in a short time they had arranged everything they should arrange and when the shift ended Soojin just smiled at her and left without saying goodbye. Shuhua thought she was weird and decided to talk to Mrs Chou in the checkout

-Can I ask you something Mrs Chou?

-Sure Shuhua

-Something happened to Soojin? Did she complained about me?

-Why do you ask?

-She ignores me most of times and never responds when I ask something, I never know if she is b
