When He Needed Us The Most
A FarewellHonestly, I never expected this from Jonghyun. He always seemed like such a happy guy, someone who was well adjusted and had a good life. He left an impression on everyone, because I remember seeing people saying stuff like 'I'm not a Shawol, I'm not a SHINee stan, I'm not a Jonghyun stan' but they'll also comment on how heartbroken they are, how sad it is. These people who weren't fans are sharing our grief because of how amazing Jonghyun was. I wish he'd gotten the help he needed, whether it was from a counselor or psychologist, or even just talking with one of the other SHINee members. We let him down, we weren't there for him when he needed us most and I think that's what's so devastating about this. He could've been helped, this could've been prevented, if only someone had taken the time to actually listen to him. Not try and give him advice, not tell him he's feeling these things because of his personality. That's laying the blame on him, he was right about that. We failed him, simple as that. And it's going to take a while to deal with it, deal with the fact that he's dead. I just hope that this'll bring more awareness to mental health. Especially in Korea and Japan. They need it so much
