From Boys To Men
A FarewellAs a fellow Cassiopeia, Shinee was one of the first groups I followed since they debuted. As some one older than them, I followed each and every member closely respecting their individual talents and just like everyone else watch them grow from boys to men. Durning the darkest times in my life from my early 20's because DBSK was no longer a group of 5 and super Junior was going in and out of the army, Shinee became my light. Their songs who I turned to when my world became hazy with darkness. When I first heard of Jonghyun's death, I thought it was a joke, something that was put on by the tabloids but when it was confirmed to be true, I became numb. For the first couple of days, i didn't know what to feel? Was I happy? Sad? Confused? What happens when the light you turn to that always shines so brightly goes out? Knowing that the fuel that kept your light going runs out and then you are left in darkness once again. But for me I see it differently. You did well Jonghyun, you have suffered enough. Although your light is now out, you have 4 other members who will continue to shine for you and although you are no longer here in this world, you still give me strength to continue with my life because I can still feel your light within me. Thank you for gifting your voice to the world. Now may you finally be at peace.
