Chapter 36

It had been awkward for the last few days, Youngbae noticed. Seunghyun had always held a soft spot for Jiyong but that spot continued to grow and become more apparent after the two became an official couple. Sure, Jiyong tended to show more affection to Seungri, much to Youngbae’s chagrin, but there was something about the affection he gave to the older man that surpassed the affection he gave to everyone else.

Youngbae knew Jiyong, knew almost everything about him. He knew Jiyong’s favorite color, food, shoe size, pants size, and he had even read the letter that Jiyong had written to his first girlfriend back in grade school. Spending an x amount of years as trainees together could do that to people. He was also the first person Jiyong told when he developed feelings for the rapper.

To say he was shocked was an understatement. The way Jiyong had relied and leaned on his noona’s and the way he flirted with them was enough to create doubt that Jiyong had any feelings for another man. When he had spoken to Daesung and confirmed that Seunghyun returned their leaders feelings, he was less then shocked. Seunghyun had always been free in who he loved. The older man tended to care more about the personality then gender.

That’s when Youngbae and Daesung had plotted to get the two together. Their plan had been perfect. Use Jiyong’s love for the maknae to cause the two to admit their feelings. Sadly, things didn’t work out well and the two ended up being mad at each other for a month before Seungri got sick of it and told them both to get out of their feelings and just admit they like each other. Seungri wasn’t one for subtlety but it worked out for the best. Youngbae had never seen their faces turn so red and they went on their first date the following week.

Now, though the two had been dating for two weeks, Youngbae didn’t understand how the two were being so awkward with each other. They couldn't still be nervouse about dating eachother and they shouldn't be so nervous about being alone togeher. They had plenty of times when they were forced to be alone. 

Youngbae had been behind the curtains of their empty dressing room changing into his outfit for their small stage of Fantastic Baby when the two had waltzed in. The two worked around each other as though they both had something to say but remained in silence as Youngbae was equally as silent.

He finished changing and peaked through the small crack in the curtain. He watched as Seunghyun stared at Jiyong through the mirror hanging on the wall and hesitated as he asked the younger man, ‘can I kiss you?’

It was interesting, to say the least. It wasn’t often that Jiyong was stunned into shock. After spending so many years together Youngbae was finally able to add something else to the things he knew about Jiyong.

He continued to watch as Seunghyun turned away from the mirror and stood facing the shorter man, he watched as he lifted his hand and grabbed Jiyong’s chin, forcing his face to lift, he watched until he knew he could watch no more.

As loudly as he possibly could, he pulled the curtains back and applauded himself as the rings holding the curtains screeched at being pulled against the metal holding them up. Youngbae watched in satisfaction as Jiyong and Seunghyun snapped their gaze his way, eyes wide and faces filled with embarrassment. Youngbae laughed as the Jiyong screamed out his embarrassment and Seunghyun shyly sent a smile his way. This was, hands down, the funniest thing that the singer had ever witness.

Youngbae would have to retract his earlier statement, this was the reddest he’s ever seen Jiyong. He would have to file this look as well.

I tried something different with this chapter, do you like it? I think if the reaction is good then I'll write a chapter in Seungri and Daesungs point of view as well. I, personally, like this chapter. I think it's cute to get an outside look of their relationship.
