Drive Safely
100 Ways to Say 'I Love You'Chapter 28
It was nearly four o’clock in the morning when he had to leave the warm comfort of his own home to get the the airport. His flight left at 6:45 a.m. and he liked to be there early incase of something unexpected happened. He had an event to go to in Japan and he was slowly regretting accepting the invitation. He was tired, sleep deprived, and his headaches where what he had to show for it.
Jiyong closed the trunk of his car after putting in his suitcase and checked his watch. 3:58 lit up on the face and he mentally patted himself on the back. Everything was right on time.
He moved to get into the driver’s side of his car. Once settles, he pulled out his phone to let Youngbae he was on his way but another message caught his attention.
Jiyong looked at the name that flashed across the screen before looking at the time on his dashboard. He wondered if the text message was late getting across or if the other was up at this time. It had to be the first one, Seunghyun was hardly ever willingly awake at this time. He sent his text to Youngbae before reading the text.
‘Are you up yet?’
Jiyong let out a small tired chuckle before replying: ‘On my way to get Youngbae.’
The leader waited for a minute before deciding that the other had probably fallen back asleep. He crossed the seatbelt strap over his chest and put the car into drive. As he began to take his foot off of the brake, the vibration of his phone caught his attention. Jiyong toyed with the idea of reading the text now but brushed the thought aside. If he waited any longer to get the Youngbae he was going to be late.
Finally making it to Youngbae’s house, he parked and moved to open his trunk so Youngbae could put his luggage in. Jiyong wondered idly why they didn’t get one of their manager to drop them off.
“Morning.”
A groggy voice pulled him from his thoughts and he sent a tired smile to his friend. Youngbae looked just as tired as he felt. “Have you eaten?”
Youngbae nodded his head as he slammed the trunk closed. Of course he had eaten, he never left his house before eating. Jiyong wondered how long he had been awake.
Remembering the text waiting in his phone, Jiyong pulled it out.
‘Drive safely, call me when you get there. I’ll be up by then.’
Jiyong smiled as he stuffed his phone back into his pocket.
He loved the other man. He truly did.
Thank you for the reviews, and sorry for the late update. I've been at the doctors practically all day. I hope you liked it.
