Look Both Ways
100 Ways to Say 'I Love You'Chapter 25
The snow crunched under his feet as he made his way towards the small café. Winter had started early and there was already a half foot of snow stuck on the cold pavement. Jiyong was wrapped snugly in a thick green coat complete with a brown scarf, snow boots, and matching gloves.
In one hand he held out his phone to check the time before sticking his numbing hand back into his pocket. He was going to be a little late in meeting the other but it couldn’t be helped, his flight was late in landing.
A tall figure stood at the door as he finally reached his destination. Jiyong returned the smile offered to him. It had been nearly two weeks since they had seen each other in person. Laptop and phone screens never did the other justice.
He looked a little different dressed in his long black pea coat, boots, green scarf, and glasses. His face had lost some weight, his jaw more defined, and his eyes here crystal clear. The tiredness that was expected was no where in sight.
“You’re late.”
Jiyong nodded his head as the other handed him a travel mug. The warm coffee in his mouth warmed the rest of his cold body. The feeling in his fingers was beginning to return. He wouldn’t tell the other, but this was his third cup in the past 5 hours. “If we leave now we’ll get there at a good time.”
They were expected at a party thrown by Se7en, a family party. Most of the YG family would be in attendance so the two confirmed that they would make an appearance.
“I parked across the street.” Seunghyun turned, snow sticking to his boots, and walked to the end of the block. He had driven to the café so the two would ride together. They watched traffic as they waited for their signal to cross.
Jiyong felt eyes on him as the stopping signal changed to a walking man. He picked up his feet and started to cross before a firm hand gripped his elbow and forcefully pulled him back.
A black car whipped by them and Jiyong looked back at the other. He hadn’t seen the car, he wasn’t paying attention.
“Look both ways when crossing the street.”
The smirk forming on the taller mans lips was attractive and he wondered idly how he ended up in a committed relationship with such a specimen. He mumbled a small thanks as the other walked passed him. Jiyong followed closely behind.
I hope you like it. I actually just re-wrote this chapter because I REALLY didn't like the last one. It took me a while to get this one done despite it's length.
