Taeyeon's POV

The first thing I felt when I woke up was intense pain. My head was throbbing, my legs were sore, my cuts were burning...I could feel the dried tears on my face.

I immediately held my head and screamed in pain. I felt awful.

Hold up. I'm in Kris's room.

I remembered the events from last night.

My scream of pain caused Kris to jolt upright. Oops.

Still holding my head, I apologized to him. "I'm....I'm sorry." I said.

"You idiot." he scowled. "Why do you always have to say sorry? Why would you be sorry for being in pain?"

"Sor...I mean....umm." I said awkwardly.

"Go back to sleep." he said as he stood up.

"But! There's school today!"

I immediately stood up, forgetting I could barely walk for a second, and fell to the floor. The blankets Kris had set up saved me from getting hurt.

Kris crossed his arms. "Yeah. You're not going to school."

"But Kris!"

"Shut up." he said with a straight face. "And I'm not going either. I'm taking you to the doctor."

"That is unneccesary.. I'm perfectly fine!" I said.

He looked at me skeptically.

"Fine..." I gave in.

"So how did this happen?" asked the doctor.

"Well," said Kris. "She-"

"FELL DOWN THE STAIRS." I finished. "Right, Kris?" I glared at him.

I didn't want any more sympathy. None.

Kris sighed and then nodded.

"Well...you're going to need to be on crutches. And absolutely NO. DANCING."

"NO!" I screamed, then covered my mouth. "I mean...er...for how long?"

"Well, we'll see. It could take anywhere from a week to a couple months."

"Okay..." I said sadly, taking the crutches from him.

"Yes. So you will be on crutches, and you will also need to take these pills every day. They will help ease the pain. But they may have some side effects..." said the doctor.

I took the bottle and put it in my bag.

"Thanks." I said.

"No problem."

As we were leaving, I saw the doctor lean in and whisper to Kris "Your girlfriend's really pretty."

It wasn't creepy or anything because he seemed pretty young. And he was attractive.

I blushed slightly, but then yelled out "HEY! I'M NOT HIS G-"

"I know." Kris cut me off with a smirk.

I awkwardly bit my nails. "Umm let's go..."

We sat in the car. I looked at the clock. 2:30. School should be out by now....Sigh. Thanks to Hyuna and Jiyeon, my perfect attendance record has been shot down.

I looked at Kris.

"Let's go out for lunch." he suggested.

"It's so late though!" I said. "Would any place be open for lunch?"

"We can have ice cream for lunch." he smiled. He took me to the place that I work at.

When we walked in, I immediately froze. Kris looked at me. "What...?" he asked.

I couldn't answer.

He followed my gaze to see Hyuna, Jiyeon, and the girl who recorded the incident. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.

"We can go somewhere else." he said.

"No...it's okay. I'm not scared." I smiled.

"Wow. You're really something." he said.

As we walked to the front, the girls saw us.

Hyuna and Jiyeon came up to me and smirked.

"Aw, sweetie, you're on crutches?" asked Jiyeon.

"What happened??" asked Hyuna innocently.

"Shut up." said Kris fiercely as he stepped forward. I stuck out my hand to stop him.

'It's okay.' I mouthed to him.

I turned back to the girls.

"Thanks for your concern, but it's not a big deal." I grinned at them. "Just the work of a couple of ugly idiots."

"Excuse me?" asked Hyuna.

"You are excused." I said, walking away from them. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me back, almost causing me to fall. She whispered in my ear, "I told you to stay away from him, didn't I?"

I scoffed at her and yanked my arm away.

"What did she say to you?" Kris asked after they left.

"Nothing." I lied.

We walked up to the counter. Well...I kind of..hopped..but yeah.

"Hey Hoya oppa!" I smiled. Hoya's back was facing us.

"Taeyeon!" he turned around, and his face turned from a smile to anger when he saw my crutches. "WHAT DID HE DO?" he asked, referring to Kris.

"Are you kidding me?" asked Kris.

I laughed. "He sat on me. He's so fat, isn't he?"

Kris glared at me. "Idiot."

"T.Y." I said, spelling out the acronym for the words 'thank you.'

I turned back to Hoya. "I'm just kidding dude. I just...fell down the stairs."

"Oh...wait..how are you going to do the dance??" he asked worriedly.

"Don't worry oppa...I'll figure it out."

Then I leaned in over the counter and gave him a devious smile.

"So..when are you asking Eunji to the dance?" I whispered.

"WHAT." Hoya said a little too loudly. His face turned red. "I-I'm not..."

"Save it." I smiled. "We all know you like her."

Hoya paused.

"...Is it that obvious?"

I chuckled. I looked over and made sure that Kris wasn't listening. "Not really. But I know you well. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

Hoya sighed of relief. "Good."

"CAN WE JUST EAT ICE CREAM NOW." yelled Kris angrily.

"Calm down dude!" said Hoya.

"Don't talk to me."

"Awkwardoo." I said. "Um...I'll have a vanilla ice cream cone."

"Me too." said Kris.

I got my ice cream for free, Kris paid for his, and we left.

"Bye Hoya oppa!!" I smiled.

He smiled back. "Hope you get better!"

When we got outside, Kris tried his ice cream.

"Ew. I hate vanilla." he said.

I looked at him weirdly. "Then why did you get it..?"

"I dunno. You got it." he said awkwardly. I laughed at him.

"You're so stupid."

"Well you're too smart!" he said.

"I take that as a compliment you know.." I said.

"Well you shouldn't. You're a nerd."

"Good." I smiled. "Oh and Kris..?"

"What."

"Um...................thanks." I said.

"For what?" he smirked.

He knows for what. He just wants to hear it.

I sighed.

"Thank you for taking care of me."

"Whatever." he said.

He's already going back to his jerk self....and I'm perfectly fine with that.
