Chapter 68

I was in cloud nine that’s for sure. I almost couldn’t believe the fact that she finally told me she loves me. Sabi niya siya na daw mag da-drive pauwi. I didn’t agree at first dahil nakainom na siya but then she told me na hindi naman daw siya lasing. I’d like to think so because I didn’t want to think nab aka dahil lasing lang siya kaya she was able to tell me she loves me.

It felt as if I was in highschool all over again and your crush confessed to you for the first time about their feelings. That’s how I felt. It was magical and everything. I wanted to be home with her as soon as possible kasi I wanted that alone time with her. Just us being ourselves in our bed, loving each other like how it’s supposed to be. Everything felt right and everything seemed to be falling into it’s rightful place. Me with her, and her with me.

“Mahal, antok ka na?” She asked and placed her hand on my lap while driving. “Di pa. I feel too happy to feel sleepy.” Sagot ko naman sakanya at tumawa siya. “Quiet mo eh.Kala ko antok ka na.” Sabi niya naman. “I was just thinking.” I answered. “About what?” She asked. “About you.” Sabi ko naman and then she held my hand and placed a chaste kiss on it. “I love you.” Sabi niya. I wasn’t used to it yet kaya I felt so nervous everytime she says the word. Yung tipong nahihiya ka nalang kasi the word seem so new. It’s like threading with a new side of unfamiliarity. But it doesn’t feel bad at all. Not one bit.  If anything, it felt really ing good to be loved again. To be loved by the person you crave the most. I couldn’t remember the last time I felt this way If I’m being honest.

“I love you too.” Sagot ko sakanya and she smiled. “Weekend bukas, do you want to go out?” She asked. “Not really, but I’d go anywhere with you.” Sabi ko naman. “Happy ka nga, hindi mo ko kinokontra eh.” Sabi niya naman ng natatawa. “Wag mo i-spoil kasi, make the most out of it habang happy pa ko.” I teasingly said. “Habang happy kapa?” She asked. “Oo, kasi baka bukas paiyakin mo ko.” Sabi ko naman not really thinking about anything. It was just a rebuttal without any context but she didn’t think so.

She held my hand when we got out of my car nung makarating kami sa place namin. She kissed me on the forehead and smiled at me. “Ang cute mo. Wag ka mag frown, tatanda ka agad.” Sabi niya naman “Di ako naka frown, natural kasi yan.” Sabi ko naman sakanya. “Nag dinner kana ba?” She asked and I shook my head. “Bat di ka pa kumakain?” She asked. “Eh hinihintay kasi kita kanina, thought you’d be home late kaya I’ve decided to pick you up.” Sabi ko naman. “Luto akong food?” She asked. “Babe masusunog lang, sayang.” Natatawa kong sabi.

“Bibili nalang kita food, ayaw mo naman ng luto ko, with love naman yun.” Sabi nya while pouting. “Eh hindi naman edible yung lulutuin mo kasi sunog tapos ipapakain mo sakin?” I said and she laughed. Inassume mo namang sunog agad, di mo pa nga nakikita yung finished product.” Sabi niya. “Kasi alam kong masusunog Lisa, wag tayong mag lokohan dito.” Sabi ko and then she pulled me into a hug.

“Joohyun makinig ka sakin ha?” She said habang akap akap ako. “Okay.” Sagot ko sakanya. “Ayaw na kitang paiyakin.” She started and I felt her arms tighten around me. “Pasensya ka na kung ikaw yung palaging umiintindi sakin. Sabi ko aalagaan kita but it seems like it’s been the other way around. You’re the one that’s been taking care of me. I know ayaw mo ng taong walang sariling plano. Ayaw mo ng uncertainty and ayaw kong maramdaman mo sakin yun because the reason why we’re together kasi diba we want to build something better para sating dalawa? You’re g
