Chapter 45

It’s been four months matapos mangyari ang lahat. I couldn’t say things are back to normal because I don’t think it ever will. I remembered Joohyun trying her best to talk to Seulgi again. She needed to, they both need their closure pero I guess medyo malabong mangyari yun sa ngayon. In a perfect world, they’d talk it out and settle their differences. Maybe magkaroon ng closure but that’s not what happened.

Sa araw araw na ginawa ng diyos, pinapamukha sakin ni Seulgi na nagkamali ako sa mga decision sa tuwing makakasalubong ko siya. It’s as if I never existed. It’s as if Joohyun never existed in her life the way she ignored her. Di ko rin naman siya masisisi. Pero I felt bad about it. Sino ba namang hinde. Yung kasama mo araw araw umiiyak because Seulgi was making her life a living hell because of what we did.  

Whenever asa school kami, Magpaparinig nalang si Seulgi obviously pertaining to Joohyun every single time and I was starting to get sick of it. Alam ko naman nagkamali kami, pero sana wag ng ipagsigawan ang mga nangyari kasi hindi naman na kailangan malaman ng ibang tao pa.

It was more than enough na magkaroon ng scene sa parking nung nangyari yung confrontation pero dumagdag pa tong si Krystal and seem to be enjoying the things that were happening. As far as I know, Seulgi started hanging out with Krystal again. Weather they’re dating again or not, I’m not sure but Mad Seulgi and Papansin Krystal is not a good combination that’s what I can tell.

Meanwhile, Jennie hung out mostly with Jisoo and Wannie. After the last time that we talked, hindi na kami ulit nag usap. Maybe it’s because it was for the best. We were both hurt. She hurt me and I hurt her, alangan na makalimutan naming agad lahat kung anong nangyari tapos okay na kami agad diba? That’s just not how things work.

Everyday, iniintay ko si Joohyun matapos ang class niya. We stopped hanging out sa parking lot which was a huge change para saming dalawa lalo na sakanya when she’s been hanging out there for god knows how long everytime the class ends.

I take one good look at her and I know, it might just be worth it. She’d look at me with those eyes pure of affection kahit na alam kong nahihirapan siya sa mga nangyayari. We’re not perfect. Alam naman naming yun pareho. But that doesn’t mean, we’re not allowed to feel. Usually kapag lunch time, we either go out to have lunch or sa loob kami ng caf ni Joohyun kumakain. Para talagang you and me against the world ang peg naming dalawa. There was no one else. Just us, away from the rest, away from the ugly truth behind us, away from it all.

I wiped the excess sauce from her lips sa kinain naming beef teriyaki sa may Biwon.  She smiled at me and said thank you. “Ang cute mo.” I said. “Aynako. Please wag kana mambola.” She said pero we were both smiling anyway. “Kiss ko sana yung sauce away pero nakalimutan ko, shytype pala ko. Hehe” Sabi ko naman and then she turned red and covered her face.

“Tangina mo Lis. Stop!” She said shyly and I was laughing the whole time. “Patingin nga ng face mo, namumula kana oh, ang cute.” I said trying to remove her hands away from her face and I was able to. I held her wrists down and made her look at me. “Dali naa, patingin, ang cute naman niyan kasi!” I teased.

“Isa pa kasi, iiwan kita dito.” She said habang napipikon na. “Joke lang naman, cute mo kasi.” Sabi ko naman and then she smiled yet again. Pakiramdam nawawalan ako ng hininga everytime she does that. She’d smil
