Chapter 62

Meron nading isang buwan ang nakalipas mula nung unang magparamdam si Byul. During that time, I wondered kung ano na nga ba ang nangyari sakanila ni Solar dahil hindi naman uso ang social media sakanila noon and as expected, she reached out to me via SMS pa when she could’ve just looked me up on facebook.

Mabuti nalang din at meron na silang social media account. Shared nga lang dahil pareho naman daw sila ng mga kilalang tao kaya it won’t make sense if they made their own separate accounts pa. I’ve been exchanging messages with them this past month, pero none of it were about my lovelife or kung ano mang nangyari samin ni Jennie. I didn’t think it was nice to talk about it over messaging lang kung magkikita din naman kami.

But the things is, hindi lang din naman ako ang gusto nilang makita. They haven’t seen Jennie for a while na din and ilang beses narin nilang nasabi na magkita kita kami ulit for old times sake pag uwi nila.

It’s funny how fate works. Kahit naman kasi maliit lang ang South Korea, hindi mo naman din ineexpect na maging kaibigan ang mga taong kilala mo. Katulad nalang nila Byul, Solar at Seulgi. Akalain mo naman kasi, Kay Seulgi pa taaga nakuha ni Byul ang number ko, of all people.

If that isn’t fate, playing with our lives, then I guess, It’s really just a small world for the gays. Naaalala niyo pa ba yung board ni Haley don about Shane and how everyone is connected to her? In real life, it’s not quite different, especially if you live within the area and hang out with the gays. Everyone’s literally connected kahit pa 3rd, 4th or 5th degree connection pa yan, somehow, the gays find it’s ways to stay connected. Pwera nalang siguro kung hindi ka naman outgoing then I guess, that breaks everything but if you’re socially active, chances are, someone in your circle knows someone from another clique that lived elsewhere and is currently dating your cousins ex, that had a past with your current friend type of thing.

Ngayon naman, My friend Moonbyul, met my ex friend Seulgi, and Seulgi met Moonbyul, Jennie and I’s old friend that’s currently dating Solar which is cousins with Tzuyu whom I had a thing with but not anymore because I’m dating Seulgi’s ex and Jennie’s almost sister, Joohyun. What a connection right? Sabi nga ni Moonbyul, may pagka garapal ako. I really didn’t know wheather to laugh or get annoyed kasi she’s not wrong. But Moonbyul being Monbyul, ganun talaga siya magsalita. Besides, She only heard Seulgi’s side.

I didn’t feel like telling her my story through messages dahil baka mamisinterpret lang din and I won’t be able to defend myself properly. Pero come to think of it, ano namang magiging difference when it’s just the same story diba?I guess Hindi lang ako comfortable to type and reread the history. Mas mabuti nalang ikwento nalang pag magkakaharap na kami.

Jennie had been in and out of the country after nung beach getaway naming with our friends. I remembered how she always dreamt of visiting different countries kapag free na siya and she’s actually doing it now. Somehow, I was happy na nagagawa niya na ang mga gusto niyang gawin without anyone telling her what to do. It’s just hard to get a hold of her these days. Hindi ko alam how to reach out to her without feeling shy kasi naman, hindi naman na talaga kami nakapag usap after nung bonfire incident. We left things at that and no one dared talk about it after she, and Joohyun cleared the air. Tangina no? Talk about spineless Lisa. Wala nanaman akong nagawa.

But anyway, back to my dilemma, hindi ko alam kung pano siya i-aapproach. What if she turns the invitation down kasi ayaw niya na din akong makasama kahit kalian? Kahit sila Moonbyul naman talaga yung gustong makipag kita? I actually told Byul na siya nalang ang magyaya kay Jennie but Byul said na ako na daw kasi ako naman daw ang nandito.

Gago parin talaga tong hayop na to, mga highschool palang kami, alam ko naman nakaramdam na siya sakin at sa secret feelings ko kay Jennie noon. Naimagine ko na nga kung pano ako nito aasarin kapag nagkita na kami, sama mo pa ang mga nangyari samin ni Jennie na nalaman niya through Seulgi. I’m not really sure how much Seulgi told her but I’m pretty sure, it’s enough para tuksuhin niya ko everyday sa messenger.

One of the things na nakita na din ni Joohyun but I’ve explained na matagal na din kaming hindi nagkikita and she got my number through Seulgi. She didn’t make it a big deal pero siyempre ang awkward lalo na kapag magkasama kami tapos mag popop up sa messenger yung message ng hayop. “Musta na daw si Joohyun pinapatanong ni Seulgi.hehehe”

To say at the very least, I knew Joohyun didn’t like Moonbyul
