“No seriously, is this guy troubling you? I can’t stand bullies.” Kris and Kai continued to square off. Sung-kyung looked at Kai and then at Kris. They were powerhouses for sure. The air was static with all the testosterone.

“You know what? She’s all yours. Good luck.” Sung-kyung watched as Kai didn’t even spare her a second look as he walked back to the school.

“Mr Wu, I mean Master, what are you doing here?” Sung-kyung was still in shock. “You can’t be here.” She grabbed his arm and started pulling him toward the woods.

“Why not?” Kris laughed as he stopped and try as she might, she could not budge him. “This isn’t part of the plan.”

“Relax, I am here to help.”

“Help?”

“The Madame thought you could use some support. After all its just one of you and all of them.” Kris turned and watched Kai. “So that’s the kingka around here?”

“That’s him alright. Well one of them.” Sung-kyung stared up at him, “Is this because the Madame doesn’t think I can finish the job?”

“It’s because I don’t want you to suffer.” Kris cleared his throat. “Listen, as far as my story goes. You don’t know me. I am just a transfer student for the school’s’ Basketball Club.”

“You play basketball?” Sung-kyung followed him back to the school. Well, he did have the height for it.

“Agassi, you have no idea.” He straightened his blazer and she noted it was the deep navy blue blazer that all jocks at Oakland wore.

“You’re already on the team?”

“You’re too slow,” Kris whispered as they neared the school. “You’re distracted by the pretty boys.” Sung-kyung pouted, “Don’t try that on me. We’re here to do a job. The sooner you do your part, the sooner you get to see your sister again.”

A group of girls had gathered on the steps of the garden to see the newcomer.
