Kris's Plan
Golden Quill - The Legacy (GQ2)The families met the next day at the Lee Household to discuss the situation with Wu Yifan. The Woo Estate was left out for now and none of the children was invited to the meeting. “I hope everyone is settled down now?” Soo-hyuk asked the table. Everyone was silent, “Thanks to a great effort by the children, the Woo heir has been found.” Soo-hyuk continued, “Now we need to decide what happens next.”
“Isn’t it obvious?” Taehyung asked the table, “The kid is the heir, the clause clearly states what should happen. Woo Minjae or Woo Yerin have no claim on the estate and everything, including the business will pass to the grandson.”
“Thanks for the summary.” Hoseok smirked, “And that’s all good and well but isn’t he a bit too young to take on that responsibility?”
“He is of legal age and he has a House Master.” Yoongi said, “Also let’s not assume that the kid will take away his father’s birthright”
“I agree with hyung.” Jungkook said, “It’s all good and well for us to deliberate and make plans, but only Wu Yifan knows what he wants to do.”
“So get the kid in here.” Hoseok said, “The more time we waste, the more plotting Woo Minjae is doing. Right now we have the upper hand, he doesn’t know about his son being in Korea.”
“He’s probably searching for him. Now that the will has been read, there’s no way he will leave anything to chance.” Gaelin spoke for the first time, “we need to protect the child. I think he should take up residence within the Consortium.”
Hoseok exchanged an uneasy look with Yoongi and Soo-hyuk. Gaelin, it seemed was still completely emotional. “Let him stay at the Lee estate then. You two are more equipped to deal with this boy.”
Soo-hyuk hated the idea for so many reasons, but Hoseok had a point. Soo-hyuk could use the opportunity to learn about the boy, watch him closely. “Alright.” He nodded at Namjoon, “Get Wu Yifan here.”
“Let’s break for lunch.” Taehyung rubbed his stomach.
Kris entered the dining room and stood in front of the table. Directly across from him was Lee Soo-hyuk. Today, the formidable President of the Golden Quill Consortium looked him straight in the face, his gaze didn’t waver, but neither did Kris’s. He had expected this and was prepared.
“How are you?” Soo-hyuk asked
“Well sir,” Kris bowed.
“Have you eaten?”
“Yes at school.”
