Kai heard the girls call his name as he entered the cafeteria. He knew they thought he was easy game now that Lee Sung-kyung was gone, but they were wrong. He was even more closed off than before. He felt like he was saving himself for her. He could not forget her yet. These girls were annoying and he didn't want to pay them any attention. He hated that they thought he was approachable. 

“Class President do you want to sit with us?” the President of the ecology club stood in his path.

Kai grimaced, “I actually promised my brother that I would have lunch with him.” Kai said and looked around for any of his friends but they were not here. Finally, he escaped to the library and the Keepers Club House. Sehun was standing at the window and didn’t even notice that he had entered his lab, “What’s with you?” Kai asked as he set his lunch tray on the lab counter, “Come eat with me.” He held out an extra set of chopsticks.

“Are you hiding again?” Sehun turned and approached the counter. He pulled up a stool and pulled the extra bowl of rice toward him. “Thanks I’m starving. Are people hunting you? I read an article in the school newspaper that said you're now single.”

“You love food. Why do you starve like this?” Kai admonished and tried not to think about being single. 

“I get lazy and I don’t like the cafeteria. The girls are…”

“Cannibals?” Kai joked and Sehun laughed in agreement. “As Baekhyun would say, this is all our parent's fault because they made us this way.”

“He loves the attention,” Sehun said as he shovelled rice in his mouth. “You forgot the pickles.”

“I have some.” Baekhyun entered the lab with his tray. “I looked for you guys at the cafeteria.” He set his tray on the lab counter and handed Sehun his portion of pickles. “They taste fresh.”

“They better be for what we pay,” Sehun grumbled as he started to taste the pickles. “Did you guys notice that Arran came with Kris hyung?”

Kai paused, “I came in with Kyungsoo. Why did she come with Kris?”

“She likes him.” Baekhyun was blunt, “I hope you people know that she will marry that guy.”

Sehun hit Baekhyun over the head, “She will not get married.”
