Gaelin knocked on Soo-hyuk’s study door before she entered. It had been a long day but she had removed her last stitches and thank goodness for all therapy because there was hardly any evidence that she had been stabbed. The day had been filled with meetings and working with Ren to implement a way to find out the truth about the Madame. So Gaelin wasn’t surprised that it was already passed midnight when she got home.
Gaelin approached her husband and realised he had fallen asleep. “Really?” Gaelin sighed and then rolling a wad of paper, hit him on the head and quickly ducked behind his chair. Soo-hyuk woke with a start and looked around. Gaelin muffled her laughter. Soo-hyuk rested his head on the desk and continued to sleep.
Gaelin stood and glared down at her husband. Had he cleared his schedule so he could sleep? Gaelin leaned in closer and blew his hair softly. Soo-hyuk caught her hand and she screamed. “You’re awake?” Gaelin struggled to pull her hand free and backed away, “That’s cheating.” She turned and ran. Soo-hyuk easily caught her on the stairs and lifted her over his shoulder.
