Welcome Back Jung Kyungsoo
Golden Quill - The Legacy (GQ2)Hearing Kyungsoo’s voice, Kai turned around and Ren took the confusion as an opportunity to grab Kai and yank him off the ledge. They fell on the ground. Kai raised his head and saw Julian carrying Kyungsoo toward him. “Kyungsoo…”
“He’s alive you punk.” Julian cursed, “What the hell were you thinking?”
Kai wasn’t listening as he stared at Kyungsoo. “Why are his eyes closed again?”
“He’s weak,” Julian explained. “We need to get him back down to the doctors.”
“What were you thinking bringing him up here?” Ren was furious with her boyfriend.
“It did the job didn’t it.”
“Kyungsoo can you hear me?” Kai tugged on his robe, “Why isn’t he doing anything?”
“You’re so loud,” Kyungsoo grumbled. His speech was slurred and barely audible.
“Kyungsoo!” Kai laughed with relief.
Julian, Ren and Kai brought Kyungsoo back to the recovery room. Sarang approached Kai and slapped him across the face. “You’re so selfish Lee Jongin.”
Kai didn’t react, he bowed his head in shame. “What makes you think you can think of committing suicide? Do you think it will solve anything if you’re gone? “Kai’s eyes widened. He thought his aunt would be angry about what his actions had meant for Kyungsoo but she was worried about him. “Do you think Kyungsoo would be able to live with himself if you did that?” she was crying again and slammed her hands against his chest. “You’re meant to be the leader…”
Kai wrapped his arms around Sarang and held her close, “I’m sorry. I just didn’t know what to do.”
“The way you’ve been acting is not the Lee Jongin we know.” Sarang’s cries softened, “You are stronger than this.”
“I had a lapse in judgement…” Kai mumbled as he watched the doctors fix a drip to Kyungsoo’s arm.
Sarang pulled away, “Your stunt brought my son back.” She acknowledged. “Thank you for that.”
It was not the right time and Sana hated even thinking it, but she had confessed her love for Kyungsoo and he had barely moved but for Kai, he had violently woken from his coma as if being chased out of hell by demons. It was true she could not measure their short romance against the lifetime that Kai and Kyungsoo had known each other. Guess it just meant that Kyungsoo was one of those people who put friends and family above romantic connections.
“Kai…” Gaelin and Soo-hyuk entered the room. “Did something happen?” Namjoon asked Ren. Kai desperately shook his head begging them to keep his secret.
“Kaiah brought Kyungsoo back,” Hoseok said and everyone turned their attention to the bed where Kyungsoo was now awake and watching them with interest.
“How?” Baekhyun asked.
“He shouted at oppa,” Minah said. It wasn’t a lie.
Kai smiled gratefully at them. “I told him if he didn’t wake up then I would drop out of university.”
“Yeah, oppa woke up really quickly after that.” Minah laughed awkwardly.
“Is that really how it happened?” Soo-hyuk asked sceptically.
“Pretty much,” Ren answered. “It was amazing to wat
