Kai's Ruling
Golden Quill - The Legacy (GQ2)Sorry everyone a short chap this time.
Telling the truth was one of the hardest things Kris had to do but after what the Madame did to Tao and Sung-kyung made it a little easier. He stood in front of them, noting that no one met his eyes. Jongin, usually the first to react, was quiet as he sat at the head of the table in Kyungsoo’s Finite suite. It was an anti-. Kai had never suspected that the Woo heir was right under his nose. He had invited Kris into his home – he never did that. He didn’t feel a fool; he wasn’t angry with Kris. In many ways, it was a relief to have found the heir. He was glad for the easy way out. Now that he knew it was Kris, he could keep an eye on him and possibly get Kris to side with them.
“What do you want to do?” Chen broke the long silence. He looked at Kai.
“I have a couple of questions.” Baekhyun who had insisted on accompanying Kai to the meeting said.
“Go ahead,” Kyungsoo said.
“First of all, do you acknowledge the things your family did to this Consortium in the past and what is your view on what happened?”
Chanyeol hid his grin behind Sehun’s back. Trust Baekhyun to be savage, but they needed someone to be. Kai looked like he had taken a rocket to another planet. His face was unreadable.
Kris accepted the question, “I heard only through the Madame. When I came to Korea, I did my own research and much of the trouble between our households seems to be our parents battle, not ours.”
“So my next question shouldn’t come as a surprise.” Baekhyun spoke up again, “Do you accept my brother, Lee Jongin as the next President of the Consortium?”
Kris thought about the competition that they would face one day, he wondered if he’d feel different then, but right now he supported Jongin. “I do accept Lee Jongin has the next President of the Golden Quill.”
“What were your intentions before telling us who you were?” Baekhyun asked his next question. Everyone else was silent, grateful that he was doing the hard work for them.
“I wanted to bring my family back home and finally be accepted by my father.”
